I was seen by Dr. Mark Lynn. He was kind and answered my questions. We spoke about my LASIK from 20 years ago and he confirmed a pair of readers would be helpful for reading or working on screens. Although my insurance covers frames, my time was limited. I loved how little pressure was applied to shop for glasses. They provided me with two alternatives for prescriptions and a copy of my results. I'll likely go back to shop while my other family members are having their exams.

His staff was wonderful and very patient. I called the office several times before and after surgery and they always had time to reassure me. I'm guessing it's the end of year and people have insurance benefits to use. Sadly this time I was told our Anthem insurance didn't offer us a discount. We paid the standard rate of $69 for the exam. I do appreciate it isn't an issue to get a copy of our prescription. We prefer to order glasses from an online provider. Also, the glasses in the lobby to try on are ... dirty and gross. We didn't want to put anything on our face. I am also dropping my stars because of the service received from the initial technician. She explained dilation offerings to my son rather than me, and wasn't clear on one option being an additional charge. She also didn't pay attention to my son's chart which had his birthday date. Had she checked she would've known he wasn't 18 yrs ... or said she thought he looked 27 yrs. My teen son has a rapidly fading hairline and this statement embarrassed him. His mood changed for the rest of the visit and beyond. Lackluster experience this round.

Dr. Rowland is exceptional. Her office space is designed beautifully. It's a very calm atmosphere. So far his procedure has been great. We follow up in a week. News flash... they didn't. In these 3 months I've gotten into a car crash driving at night because I didn't have my glasses and have now almost made it through my entire senior spring semester of college without glasses, often times sacrificing my learning because I couldn't get a seat close to the front and couldn't see in the back. After all this they would not comp me a pair of glasses while I wait to go to another company. So this will now be 4-5 months without glasses.
