They also make a Nutella filled croissant that is so good I can't even talk about it. They have a huge selection of Muffins that change daily. Sure, regular blueberry, that is both huge and delicious, but they also have fun varieties like WHOPPIE PIE, SMORES, AND CARAMEL APPLE Muffins. It's just crazy. Speaking of crazy... Their cookies are so good it doesn't make sense. They are huge, actually not the prettiest, but OMG... I ruined my diet for them. We also ordered a really cute bunny cake for Easter and it was very good. They also have fresh breads. So far we have tried the Italian and cinnamon. Both were soft and delicious. It's the kind if fresh bread you just want to snack on. O.. and once I had a cherry turnover from this place that I would have smacked someone in the face for. Yep.. that good. They are some kind of magic at this place. So do I recommend this place?? Well what do you think?? Lol DEFINITELY STOP IN AND TRY 1 OF EVERYTHING. You're welcome.

I was impressed with the owner cranking out all kinds of bakery items, brownies, cookies, donuts, pasties, bread, etc..... Last stop I walked away with a loaf of bread too warm to run thru the slicer. The smell of it in the car was so heavenly I ended up ripping the end off to devour as it was going to be a while before I had access to a knife. Owner seems to be nearly a one man band. Much admiration to her dedication. I will be back for sure. Cute looking ice cream place next door is also on my list to try.

I stopped in today for a donut and walked out with an Italian poppyseed/almond loaf (made with canola and olive oil) and a fresh out of the oven pasty. It was delicious! He also has white, pumpernickel, and sour dough bread but they sell quickly! There are some local gifts available as well. You won't be disappointed.

I grabbed a caramel, cinnamon, Boston cream and a Dutch crumb. $7 for 4 donuts. The cinnamon donut was dense and super dry. Not good. The caramel donut itself was quite dry. The caramel frosting was good. The Dutch crumb donut itself was dense and dry. The crumb wasn't too bad. The Boston cream donut was soft and billowy, as you bite into it. The Boston cream was more to one side of the donut. The Boston cream was good, as was the chocolate frosting. This was the better donut out of the 4, hands down.

My dad said it felt like you were walking into someone's home the way she treated us. It was steadily busy, but she was attentive and so kind. All of us enjoyed our food, which was also reasonably priced. My mom and I got the Miner Meal, and it was perfect. The original pasty (just your classic meat, potato and option for rutabaga), a side of slaw, a drink and cookie. I grew up eating pasties, and it was a really solid one. It's all about the crust for me, and they nailed it. Plus, the option of 8oz was just right! And the slaw was really yummy too. A very refreshing side for a heavy pasty. My dad got the pasty mac - no clue it was even a thing (and maybe it isn't anywhere else), and he loved it! Kids got pepperoni pizza pasty and chicken tenders and fries - everything was a hit. My dad tasted the pizza pasty too and said it was delicious. Only the kids ate the tenders and fries - nothing special there, but they were happy with them. Then they each got a cup of Superman ice cream, and we all know you can't go wrong there. Overall, a really great experience! We'd totally come back and would recommend to anyone looking for some classic and tasty yooper food close to the iron mine!!
