Sharing another update of my healed tattoo after two years and it still looks amazing ! (Photos at the very end)

Had a good experience getting tattooed here. Dora has a lot of experience, a good eye, great taste, and is very bubbly. I wanted the outline of my dog's face in flowers (sunflowers specifically) and Dora suggested keeping the ears as realistic so I asked for one floppy ear and one pointed ear. I love, love, love the result. My dog means the world to me so despite this being my 8th tattoo, it was the one I was the most nervous about. Dora's creativity and skill will give you an amazing result to trust her and work with her. I attached some screenshots from Dora's instagram where she posted a reel on the start to finish of my tattoo. I absolutely love it and despite having yellow-toned skin (a lot of South Asians do) so made the sunflowers pop perfectly while capturing my sweet boy's orange-red fur. When you go, make sure you're not in a tight schedule as my appointment started almost an hour later than expected, but I took the day off so I was fine. They are COVID conscious so be sure to mask, but they'll encourage you to drink water and snack as needed. Parking lot is small, but I had no issues getting parking. They do a lot of good work so I'd definitely check them out!

The gals here are soo genuine (and have some cool badass tattoos on themselves!) its a women owned business so you know they're super sweet and kind. My friend and I got flash tattoos and we love them so much. They have cute designs and I think the artists do incredible work.

Went back for a retouch + a flash tattoo of a butterfly ( $80 + tip on 10/14) made an appointment with Kimi again and last minute she took my friend in as well for a flash tat and the attention, service , & quality of her work is chefs kiss. Will be back for more of her work and highly recommend.

Me and my husband went today to Do. Art Ink Studio. We arrived for an appointment with Jun for two tattoos. The studio is bright and well lit with many plants. Gives a nice positive vibe and is very welcoming. After we filled out the necessary paperwork, Jun talked to us, showed us the design sizes. He was very professional. The single needle tattoo went smoothly, me and my husband were completely comfortable the entire time. And because Jun was familiar with the subject of the tattoo, it did feel he took extra attention to the details to make sure it was right. Super satisfied with the piece and already thinking about the next one to get. I Definitely recommend this spot.

This is a long overdue review from pre-pandemic (dec 2019). I found this studio off Instagram and fell in love with Dora's work. I wanted fine line flowers as my next tattoo and she did an amazing job. Communication was really easy with her.. the spot was very clean. The only thing I didn't enjoy as much was as I was getting tattooed, there were 2 other people in the shop that I was assuming were Dora's friends. They just ate and talked while I was getting tattooed, and not much conversation between my artist and I. However, my tattoo also healed very quick with no issues and it came out beautifully. I'm still planning to come back again for another trip this year for another tattoo!

JD was easy to communicate with. I was able to send JD some pictures of what I wanted, they day of appointment he was able to show me a few ideas he had. My daughter and I wanted to get matching finger tattoos. Each tattoo maybe took 15-30 minutes, yes finger tattoo hurt more than other areas I have gotten. Really nice group of people. Reasonable price.

Really nice, relaxing vibe inside the studio. It was a 3 month wait to see Dora, but it was obviously worth it as her work is stunning! Dora accommodated my last minute request to go from partial color to full color, and I think it turned out beautifully. During the healing process, I kept it out of sunlight, avoided activities with sweating, used a hydrating balm, and wore lots of sunscreen. It has only been 1 year, but it looks virtually the same as when I got it. Very polite and professional staff. I plan to go back to finish the half sleeve.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this studio. I've passed by it nearly every day since moving to Monterey Park and I've followed many of the artists on Instagram for a while -- all of the artists are women which is definitely a big plus when I'm looking for a new studio. I finally booked once I settled on an idea that I thought would be perfect with Zing's style. I'm so happy I booked with her! My tattoo was fairly simple but Zing was really kind as we went back and forth on the design a bit and was totally open to my feedback. The studio itself is bright and clean. The only thing I'll warn you about is it's right next to a dog groomers so you will hear barking constantly but if that's a concern I recommend bringing along some noise canceling headphones and letting your artist know. I did get used to it after about 20 minutes. The tattoo itself took maybe 30-40 minutes (I just got some small lettering on my thigh). It was not too painful at all and I almost fell asleep toward the end haha she really does have a gentle touch and I really recommend booking with her! She is very talented and great to work with. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

I just recently got the best tattoo I've ever gotten at this studio by Dora! She is extremely talented and runs/owns a beautiful shop! Normally after my tattoos are finished healing I notice an immediate fading of the color, but Dora's tattoo has healed and didn't fade at all!!! Prices are also very reasonable considering how talented she is and how long she has done the work I am so in love with the tattoo and plan to come back the next time I want a tattoo with vibrant color! read more

This tattoo shop has a really great feel about it. Clean, modern yet delicate style. The artists are mandarin and English speaking. It's really great that the culture is becoming more modern and accepted in the states. The work and art itself is done well and professionally. Everyone is wearing masks and they require you wash your hands right when you step into the shop. Lily did my tattoo and will be adding onto it. It is a more difficult piece. She was very understanding and ready to tackle this task. She collaborated with her fellow artists as well as myself. We came to a great agreement on how the tattoo should look and what exactly would enhance it. I highly recommend this place. The value for what you get is very much justified and the skill set is there. read more

I found Phoebe through IG and love her work! Booking the appointment went smoothly and she's very communicative. She was extremely patient with each request as we went through the design. Before we started, she made sure I got some food in my system and took great care. The other tattooists were also super kind, one of them let me borrow a hair clip to tie up my hair (I didn't get your name but thanks again!). They even asked if I had a specific movie I wanted to watch so they would put it up on the TV. Each time we had to change positions, Phoebe helped and made sure I was comfortable before proceeding. Phoebe is great with detailed work, lines are super clean and I'm happy with the final product! She discussed touch ups, aftercare tips, and answered any questions that I had. They go above and beyond at Do.Art Ink and I highly recommend if you have the tattoo itch. FYI- don't forget to type in Alhambra when punching in the address in maps! I was late 15 minutes and Phoebe was very understanding and waited for me. read more

Called in thinking I'd get a consultation.. got tatted the same day! SHOP LOCATION: 5/5 Do.Art Studio is settled within one of Alhambra's many plazas. Parking wasn't difficult to find in front of the store. SERVICE: 4/5 I was taken in by artist JD for my request of a straight line down my entire back. He was quite straightforward- got me signing the consent forms, etc., and got to work. I didn't know what to expect (as this was my first ever tattoo) but there was little to ever worry about. Perhaps being a bit more explanatory about the process would help next time. ART: 5/5 I'm very, VERY pleased with how my tattoo turned out!! It's been more than 24 hours since getting the work done and healing is going by normally. Such a well-done piece at an amazing price, by the way (I was really shocked by the more-than-fair price). I will most definitely return for any future tattoos and will recommend this shop to all of my curious friends. read more

The best experience I've ever had at a tattoo studio. Lily did such an amazing job! She was super nice and put me right at ease. The piece I was getting was in memory of a loved one. She listened to any input or edits I had for the design, which was super appreciated. Sitting in her chair was easy breezy- little to no pain in her needlework. And the end result is just incredible! JD is an amazing artist. I wanted a tattoo in memory of my dog Luna who had passed away in 2020. So I wanted a crescent moon. I sent him 3 pics of ideas I liked and JD totally made it his own and drew me something that I absolutely loved. His style is so detailed and beautiful. I stumbled upon Dora's feed on Instagram and instantly fell in love with her work. I wasn't looking for a tattoo but I knew I had to get something done by her and I don't regret it. I flew from the Bay to LA which sounds crazy for a tattoo, but going to Dora and the finished piece made everything so worth it. This studio feels so welcoming with the plants at the front and they keep it very clean. Probably one of the cleanest and most sanitized I've ever been to. Dora is amazing and I definitely want to keep going to her for future tattoos. read more

I am SO happy with my latest tattoo! I walked in one day for a consultation. The receptionist was super nice and asked me what I was thinking of getting. I showed her a few photos I had of plumerias, and she paired me with Kimi. My appt was set for a few weeks after my initial consultation. When I went in for my appt, Kimi had already drawn up a rendering based on the photos I shared, which I loved! The drawing looked so real! Kimi was very sweet and made me feel at ease. Her artistic skills are amazing! I would definitely go back for my next tattoo! read more

Had a great experience at Do. Art Ink with Jonah, he is a master at his craft! He worked with me on an original piece, and I knew with his realism style he'd be able to nail it. I could not be happier with how it turned out. He responded to my feedback and adjustments during the process. Not only was the tattoo great but the healing so far has been a breeze which speaks to the quality and care. 5/5 will absolutely be back. Came in today for my appt with Kiro, and she did not disappoint. I showed her what I wanted around my existing tattoo and she was able to do more than what I was expecting. She was very thorough of what she was going to do, her recommendations in size and location along with time frame of completion. The place was clean and Kiro took the time to make sure all her work space was sterile, and clean for us to begin. All in all, an awesome experience with Kiro and would highly recommend her to all looking for any specific design or picture cause well, she can do it all!! Also, the manager at Do art was always responsive to my texts and even though I was texting often, she was patient with me and made sure I was happy with my final decision. Thank you DO ART and especially to Kiro to making this experience amazing!! Will be coming back to Kiro next year for another session or five :) read more

I highly recommend Do.Art Ink: -studio: clean, Covid-19 conscientious, friendly, good vibes -employees: seem to have fun together, came in around the same time and socialized in their language, but was also diligent to prep and clean the studio -artists: I followed several on IG before choosing Dora. They all have beautiful work -Asian woman owned! Yes!!! xx The initial communication was smooth and speedy. Leana was patient with my many questions and back-and-forth emails. There was great communication of my request from Leana to Dora, because when I saw the piece at first, it was just beautiful. Dora went above and beyond, no doubt. I sent several pictures to Leana, and Dora put together my vision better than I could explain. She also offered several other choices which she had prepared. In the end, I asked if she would offer her artistic creativity to make an addition I was unsure about. Of course, her sketch was perfect. I could tell she was thoughtful about placement and size. She quickly offered her suggestions and rationale. She did not rush or add any pressure to me. She was patient to make clarification and sought to understand if there was a communication breakdown. She was focussed and did THE BEST pet portrait. I cried upon seeing it. I plan on returning. read more

Great service and with a peaceful environment. Needs were accommodated and my tattoo process went well. Staff is willing to answer any question kindly and are very patient. My favorite part is that is a women own business. I was more then satisfied and my tattoo artist Kimi (@kimi_doartink) did a f** great job. I got a lot of tattoos but low key was nervous this time getting a small single needle tat behind my ear. But JD killed it! He was super chill , I changed position of the stencil 4 times and numerous changes on the number front and never gave attitude or anything. I HIGHLY recommend this place for your first tattoo. I got my first tattoo here by Phoebe and the end result came out LOVELY. She communicates from the beginning to the end and adjust till your satisfied with the outcome. Also, she gives out clear instructions for the after care when finished tattooing. I love the atmosphere over there. The price might be a little high for the others, but the quality is worth it. Overall, I recommend this place and will def go back for another tattoo! read more

Phoebe did a great job on my first tattoo! She made me super comfortable and I had a great experience. Phoebe does a lot of tattoos from anime shows and Studio Ghibli movies, so she was a great fit to do the apple from Fantastic Mr. Fox. So I have been looking for someone to do my tattoo for a long time now and no one really caught my attention until I came across Doras page on ig I messaged her and asked questions,and she got back to me right away and answered all my questions booked an appointment 2 months in advanced with Leana threw email she was very kind and professional Came to my appointment today the place was very nice and clean I was nervous because it was my first tattoo but it wasn't bad at all Dora is literally the best. I sent Dora a picture of what I wanted and it came out way better I love it so much she did a beautiful job! I've had 3 amazing experiences here so far! The first time I came here was for a beautiful flash on Friday the 13th. I was assigned to Lily and soon after I booked another session with her. A few weeks later I came with my sister in-law as she had previously gotten a tattoo from Lily as well! She got a portrait of her late fur baby and I got a custom floral heart piece. Let me tell you; Lily is an artist. And her artistry shows through her work. She gave me a tattoo that was beyond my expectations and so full of detail. My 2nd tattoo from her took two sessions and it was well worth it! Overall the shop is full of friendly women artists and you feel at ease when you are at this studio compared to other bustling tattoo shops. Lily is a true artist! She not only fixed a tattoo I had already but gave me a beautiful new peony on my shoulder! I sat for a 5 hour session and she was professional, offering me breaks and always being considerate of my comfort. I'm 55 and this is only my 2nd tattoo. Lily and all the staff made my experience so wonderful that I will be returning and recommending them. I've received many compliments and greatly appreciate that she and the owner guided me on making a long term plan for a full sleeve. My sister got her tattoo done here a bit ago. And I love Lily's flower tattoo on my sister. But I didn't end up getting any work done here because of the manager, even though I paid for the reservation fee. She just rubbed me the wrong way. For me she seemed very money hungry or lack customer service skills. When I would asked for a quote on a wrist tattoo, she told me it had to be minimum of a certain size. And then she was texting me that it's not going to be exactly alike. And she seemed so bothered when I would ask her a question or had a change of slight details. I felt I was not a customer but a nuisance. read more

LILY OMG, what a great tattoo artist. Her attention to details when she makes her flowers is amazing. She made my cherry blossoms and kodama dreams come true for my birthday! She tried her best to make my cherry blossoms similar to the art work I have envisioned. It came out so beautiful. Thank you Lily for being awesome. As for the studio, it was very neat. You can tell that they clean and sanitize there. All of the other staff and tattoo artists were welcoming as well! Good tattoos, not so good people…read more I got my first tattoo by Jess years ago. The tattoo was simple and came out decent. The experience, however, was horrible. I wanted the design to be smaller, there was something wrong with the printer that day and the shop assistant had trouble making the stencil smaller. After a couple of tries Jess starts roid raging and slams the clipboard on the counter (I kid you not) and said something like whatever man I'll hook you up, meaning he's willing to tattoo it bigger for me even though I didn't want it that size. Wow, geez thank you your majesty Jess Yen, I am so blessed to get something I didn't want after watching you act out violently. Years later I decided to try again, this time with his apprentice Lucy. I had a phone consultation with her and she agreed to do my tattoo saying that her wait time is 2-3 years. I agreed and paid her a deposit. It's been more than 10 years now and I have not heard from her or gotten my deposit back. When I reached out to her, she tried to gaslight me saying that I missed my appointment. I was never informed of an appointment. First the owner display questionable emotional stability over something a little as resizing the stencil and then his apprentice scams me for a few hundred dollars. Yeah, this place gets negative stars if I could.

I wanted a tiger paired with specific florals (forget-me-nots, honeysuckle, and narcissus paperwhites) all kept above the elbow. Angie brought my vision to life more beautifully than I could have imagined. The process at Baron Art was seamless. After submitting a consultation form, I heard back within 1-2 days and coordinated everything with Cat (Angie's assistant) via email. Cat was wonderful, detailed, and quick to reply. On the day of my appointment, I received digital aftercare instructions after I checked in. Before starting, Angie was incredibly patient. She adjusted the tiger's scale on her iPad to match my arm and printed several stencils to ensure the size and placement was just right. She then freehanded the florals, precisely incorporating the negative space I requested to keep the design from feeling too heavy. Angie is incredibly talented and has a light touch. Even the pain in the inner bicep area was manageable. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the 4 hour session, and the result was perfect. This piece means so much to me and is very close to my heart, as it's a memorial for my mom who passed away recently. The forget-me-nots were her favorite flowers, and the narcissus paperwhites and honeysuckle are our birth flowers. The tiger was the first stuffed animal that my parents bought for me when we first immigrated to the US. It was my "guardian" throughout my childhood. Angie, thank you very much for your kindness and for creating such a meaningful, beautiful piece. This was the first of two sessions, and I already love it so much--I can't wait to see how it turns out! Some notes: - Snacks: I brought along Gatorade and was sipping on it before and during my session. I ate some candy and had a protein bar during the breaks too. It helped so much to keep my blood sugar up. - Vibe: So relaxing! The studio was spacious, and they were playing a throwback playlist from like the 2010s lol. I was vibing out and didn't even use the earbuds I brought! Everyone was so friendly too! Throughout the session, I noticed a couple artists stopped by to admire Angie's work as she was doing the tiger :) - Parking: parking in this location wasn't actually too bad. There's a structure about a 5 min walk away from the studio down the street. Just turn right into the little street where the Arrow Lodge Brewing is at. Go in a little bit, and it's on the left hand side. If you reach S Santa Fe Ave, you've gone too far!

The actual piercing process was not bad, just the language barrier was difficult to navigate:( and i was not given adequate instruction or information. i'm sure the artists are great at tattoos, just would not come here for piercings.

June took such great care to cover up the scars I wanted covered and make it look beautiful and flow well with the natural curves of my leg, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. After she finished her work, she brought out the professional camera to get the best pictures possible and promptly sent them to me the same night. Dora is pretty rude and insisted on me getting a tattoo that she liked and the color. It was pretty shocking. She wanted me to get a very basic tattoo so she can do it as quickly as possible and charge me 800 for a basic flower with leaves, not even big. Trying to tell me if I wanted a tad bit of detail it would take 9 hours. I knew what you were up to and you did not fool me. NEXT. Please listen to the customer and what they want not your wants. We are the ones that will be stuck with the tattoo. I should have asked you if I should just tattoo the name Dora and forget everything else. I found a professional tattoo artist that has good customer service skills and is going to tattoo what I want for half of what you were trying to charge me. read more
