It had been a while. I love tattoos but my last piece - which was huge - I got for such an amazing price that I just couldn't bring myself to get spendy unless I really fell in love. And fall in love I did. I have so many quirky interests, I didn't know what to get. All I knew for sure is that I wanted to cover my first small symbol on my ankle with a snake. I just never saw any snakes I liked as they often are more "tough" looking than elegantly dangerous like I wanted. When a friend just got a half sleeve and told me about her artist, Danielle Skye. I starting following her IG page and it took all of fifteen minutes of perusing to find a gorgeous snake that was as beautiful as it was dangerous and super feminine without being girly (does that make sense). This snake was sensual. And I knew my 8 year break from getting inked was about to end - and quickly. The homie let me know the general price range, so I make sure I had enough saved and reached out to Danielle. Her assistant Levi talked me through the process and we agreed on a date, I made a deposit, and within a few weeks I was on Danielles table. She hand draws the art directly on the skin, so I was able to make changes and adjustments, and then punched that ink in so gently and so quickly that I honestly can't believe it only took a few hours. To say I am happy with Danielle's work is an understatement. She is worth every penny plus and her skills both artistically and in application are top notch.
Rigel (Tattoomancer) was awesome. She did my first tattoo and it came out amazing. I'll be coming back to get more tattoos from her soon. The studio is clean and good vibes. Definitely recommend getting your tattoo with Rigel.
A very clean, fun, and friendly tattoo shop! Audrey is amazing! I had this vision of a tattoo and she was so patient and thoughtful! She was honest if something didn't look right or wouldn't be able to come out nicely. She spent the time making adjustments! She did an amazing job! I loveeeee my tattoo! Thank you Audrey
one day I came across "tatt.chi" or Sam on Instagram. His personal style is what initially caught my attention and I have grown to love as I get more tattoos from him. Sam, himself, is a very friendly guy and just comes across as an older brother that you've never had. His artistic ideas and creativity is something that is admired. From Apprentice to Full-Fledged Artist! the shop itself has its own unique atmosphere. the walls decorated with so much culture and so many lovable personalities in the shop, it gives a sense of community.
Levi is the besty best! I have two tattoos by her and they are my favorite. This girl heals hearts with her art. I will update with my tattoos after the newest one heals! Thanks, Levi! Love ya girlie! Also if you're disabled, this place is extremely accommodating!! I had 0 pain and I have a severe bone disease. Every other place I've been tattooed at I was in agony within the first flour. Levi made sure I was comfortable the entire time.
Came here and got this beautiful koi fish piece from Dan ! He is a skilled artists and all his work is amazing. Can't wait to come back and get my next piece. Follow him on IG his books open on the first of the month ! The shop is super clean and has dope art all around!
Would 100% recommend booking your next tattoo appointment here! The tattoo artists that work here are incredibly talented and have amazing attention to detail. I've gotten pieces done here by two artists-- @derektatty and @dlamtattoo on Instagram. It's a well kept shop with great vibes (clean, nice decor, nice people). It makes you really feel at home and comfortable, which is important since you're going to be there for a few hours getting your piece done. Each artist there has their own method of booking so I do recommend checking out each artists' Instagram page as their bookings do fill up fast. I had to wait a few months for my appointments but they were well worth!
I've been getting tattooed by Julia since she was an apprentice. My most recent tattoo was a floral 7.5hr piece :) Freehand Lilies and Cherry Blossoms The bathroom and overall place is clean :) If it's your first time getting a tattoo make sure to bring snacks and easy to remove clothing depending where the tattoo is going to be placed. I brought a cropped hoodie so I could have one arm out for tattooing and the other half of my body would be warm.
Absolutely amazing of a place. I was trying to find a place that would take me as a walk in and oni was super excited to work with me and grabbed me an artist within minutes! Miguel was my artist and he did an amazing job. It was my first tattoo but he was helpful explaining the aftercare to me and did such a great job! I was there only hour so it's fast and still does an amazing job. Yes they are a little pricy but you definitely get what you pay for!
I came here about 2 years ago for a Friday the 13th flash tattoo event. While the wait time was extremely long (12+ hours), staff were all very professional and had an efficient system to ensure everyone who waited got the opportunity to get tattooed. Though I can't speak to what the flash events have been like as of late, the procedure at the time was that clients were randomly assigned to an artist regardless of what flash tattoo they chose. I was tattooed by Danny (shop owner) and he was very sweet. This was my first tattoo and he made the experience very pleasant- minimal to no pain. The inside of the shop was spacious and clean, and everyone was super welcoming. Artists also gave aftercare instructions and were happy to answer any questions. My tattoo has since healed fairly well with an average amount of care. Definitely would recommend Oni for anyone looking for a welcoming tattoo spot in the SGV!
I worked with Dan and had a great experience! Dan knows what he's doing and executed exactly what I wanted. I gave him a few references of the qilin/kirin and the placement. He showed me the sketch once I arrived and fell in love! He also helped me out with the size and placement on my back since I wasn't sure of the location. I felt very relaxed at the studio, minus when the white ink went in lol. Everyone at oni was friendly and nice. I definitely recommend this studio!
So I've been to the shop more than a couple of times at this point hahaha and have been tattooed by DLam (@dlamtattoo), Audrey (@tattoo_audist), and their apprentice Daniel (@tatt.zilla) and I've had great experiences every time. Amazing art, great conversations and immaculate vibes all the time. If your looking for a genuine shop, this is the place.
My friend and I were looking around for a tattoo shop for our first tattoos. We walked into Oni Tattoo on Saturday and Sam @tatt.chi was able to take my friend. He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. Maybe this tattoo thing is an addiction and will keep you coming back for more. read more

WOW! Roger is amazing! He spent two sessions with me. One 5 hour and the other 3 hours. It was such a good experience his attention to detail was beyond words! Even though it was painful towards the end he took breaks with me and gave me numbing cream. I have had 14 tattoos and this one was painful at the end by far just cause of all the different coloring! I'm happy with the result and can't stop looking at it. Thank you so much!! I will def be back for more!!! read more

Everyone that I met at the shop is honestly so welcoming and friendly. The vibe of this whole place is amazing and all the art/decor they have is so cool to look at. I had the chance to get a tattoo collab done by Derek( @dlamtattoo ) and Hector ( @creativenative__ ). It was my first time having 2 people tattoo me at one time but that experience was amazing. 10/10 would do it again. The communication between the both of them not only to me but also between each other while they were tattooing was a site to see. Honestly honored to be able to witness it. The whole time they made sure If I was doing okay, if I needed a break, and made sure I was comfortable. Derek took his time making sure my stencil came out to my liking and the placement was to my liking which I definitely appreciated. All in all great experience, amazingly talented people, and I left with a sick tattoo. read more

Found out about Oni via instagram (@onitattoo) Been following them and all there artists for some time. Finally I pulled the trigger and set an appointment with Daniel (@tatt.zilla) For my first tattoo in Early April. He made my experience great, in fact I scheduled my next appointment after finishing the first tattoo. I am so happy with the way it turned out. Thank you Daniel you bring such good energy and spirit to your craft and I appreciate how comfortable you, and the people at the Oni made me feel. Thank you! (Already planning my 3rd tattoo with Daniel) If you're looking for quality work by great people make sure to check Oni tattoo you will not be disappointed! read more
Was in LA and spontaneously got that itch to get another tattoo. One of my friends is a LA local and recommended Oni Tattoos! Saw their Instagram page and their work was badass. Their IG page says they welcome walk-ins , but I filled out their appointment form online just in case. Within a half hour Hector reached out to me about what type of tattoo I was looking for. I provided the ref., size, and colors I wanted for the tattoo. He gave me a reasonable price and an appointment time for the following month. I explained to him that I was only in LA for two days and he was SO kind enough to squeeze me in the NEXT day!!! Hector was super down to earth during our session, very easy to talk to and had my tattoo come out exactly how I wanted! Thanks for making my experience an awesome one Hector!!! read more

Got a duck flash tattoo during a flash sale. Was tattooed by Stacy- she was super nice and the tattoo was super fast. Shop is very clean and staff is super nice, cannot say enough good things about this shop! Tip for flash tattoo sales- SHOW UP EARLY! The line got super long, I was one of the first 5 people there and I waited about an hour. I had a friend who showed up an hour after me and waited 2.5 hrs before deciding not to get a tattoo. read more

This was an overall great experience. I got a tiger realism tattoo done by Stacy. She was easy to reach and really open to addressing any questions or concerns I had with the flash design prior to scheduling. The studio is clean and a friendly environment. She was really patient and allowed me time to think about the size of the piece and where I placed it. After confirming the size of the stencil, I was able to connect with Stacy and chat throughout the multi-hour session while listening to a great variety of tracks. Other artists provided feedback for her to create the best tattoo possible which was cool, especially since I had darker skin. Stacy was really patient and kind and she also encouraged me to take breaks if needed. Audrey and Dan were also able to show how to improve my piece which was great. I appreciated Audrey also asking if I was hungry when she went out to 85 degrees. I was also offered water and snacks throughout the day. The session was longer than expected but watching the artists play Super Smash before switching Lilo and Stitch made time fly by quick. It was great to learn about each artist speciality and talk to them personally, in case I wanted something in the future. After wrapping it up and taking pictures, Stacy clearly communicated aftercare and encouraged me to reach out with any concerns. I'd definitely come back again. read more

I went in for a tattoo appointment with Danny on May 23rd. It was easy to contact Danny to discuss what I wanted (a chrysanthemum on my sternum). Everything was clear and concise from the beginning and I fell in love with the piece Danny came up for me. Although I was nervous about the pain Danny worked me and gave me sufficient breaks (as needed) to complete the piece. The shop is cleanly, everyone wear masks and the vibe there is super chill and amazing. Everyone is dedicated to their craft there. I loved my piece so much that I already have my next one scheduled! Please check out Danny on IG (dan._.tat) for more of his work profile! His work isn't limited to floral pieces, he also excels at anything anime related! read more

Oni Tattoo is a great place to get a tattoo! Easy to locate with very convenient parking. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back. All of the artists in this shop are talented and have their own unique styles so you WILL find someone who can bring your ideas to life!!! I got this beautiful floral "floregao" piece by the wonderful owner Dan. He's talented, patient, and very fun to talk to. Shouts to his wonderful apprentice "Jerry" for getting the stencil ON POINT! The process was definitely not as painful as I expected to be, Dan has a light hand! We took a few breaks throughout the process and he always made sure I was ok! This will definitely not be my last tattoo from him. Overall it was a great experience and I had a wonderful night having my new tattoo appreciated :) Please! If you're thinking about getting a tattoo- especially florals, Japanese traditional, and anime, check out Dan and all the other artists at Oni Tattoo!!! read more

I am from Arizona visiting the area for 4 days and impulsively decided to get a tattoo to commemorate my 30th birthday. The concierge at a nearby hotel recommended this tattoo shop so, I reached out. Within 2 hours I had an appt set, for the next day, with their apprentice, Stacy! Initially, I was very concerned about getting tattooed by an apprentice but, I was entirely wrong about judging her skill-set and professionalism. When I got into the shop she greeted me warmly and showed me the drawing for the hand and without any complaint made adjustments to the art, though I know it was tedious and added time to our appt. Throughout the session she constantly made sure I was comfortable and checked the tattoo for any adjustments or feedback I had. I really enjoyed how open minded and considerate she was about my tattoo, knowing the backstory. The end result was far better than I imagined it would be and I'm super proud to have a piece of art from Stacy on my arm! Thank you again, Stacy! read more
I went for their Friday the 13th promotion which offered flash for $31-60. It was a long wait but at the end of they day, I was able to come in. This review is for people that might be looking for a tattoo shop on Yelp (idk why I forget Yelp is more than just food lmao.) But for anyone that is looking for a shop with amazing artists this the place, but check out each artists profiles to see who arts style fits what you want! :) Artists prices vary, as well as how far they're booked out and whose bookings are open and whose aren't. Majority, if not all, of the artists have their booking info/FAQs on their page so check that out before dming them! :^) - as far as my experience with the 2 artists I've gotten tattooed by (Dan and Ray) both of them were super cool, chill, nice and easy to talk to! As you can see from the pics both pushed out amazing work :D I admire all of the artists' art at the shop and hope to get some work done by all of them Also idk how to explain I just feel really safe there There's honestly so much to say about this shop I just don't have the words to explain and it's a lot. **tattoo I got by Dan is still healing which is why I didn't post a healed pic!!!*** read more

My Libra constellation tattoo was done by Dan, and I absolutely fell in love with it! I was worried that it was going to be hard to make the lines so delicate and thin, but Dan did it, and in less than 10 minutes too. It turned out exactly how I imagined. I was so impressed with his line work and he even did some light stippling around the stars, which was a nice touch to make them pop. Overall, my experience with Dan was great. Shortly after my constellation tattoo, he also did my calla lily tattoo (which was a tribute to my mom) and included "love you" in her handwriting. He's super communicative during the entire process, professional, creative and versatile. I'm so happy to have found him! read more

Had the opportunity to get some artwork tatted by the bro Derrick (@dlamtattoo) two times now and I could not be happier with the results. I had no previous work tatted on me and seeing dlam's work via Instagram made me sure that this is the style I wanted to go with. Via his IG stories he lets the public know when his bookings are open and available so I decided to hit him up then, after that the process became pretty clear and straightforward. Was able to tell him an idea of what I wanted to get tatted based on previous work he had done, sent a deposit, and understood that I wouldn't see a sketch until the day of my appointment. Not going to lie, it made me nervous to not really know what the final piece looked like. Decided to trust the process and was more than happy appointment day with the stencil he presented me. Did some small adjustments and it was go time. At the end of the appointment, my arm looked SICK AS HELL!!!! Was so happy with it that I knew I wasn't going to wait too long before I made my next appointment. Within a couple weeks of getting my first tattoo I hit dlam up to get another piece done. AGAIN, HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! For sure going to continue booking with this dude. Super chill and charismatic guy, very detail oriented, and fun to hang with. Thanks for the art! I'll be back in your DM's shortly. 10/10 would definitely recommend. read more

Got a tattoo from dan a while back and I remember how easy it was. He gave me a pillow to lay my head on, we took multiple short breaks just to stretch even though the tattoo wasn't too big. He has a lot of designs that were cute so it was hard to pick but Im super happy with how it turned out! Will head to LA soon to fill up my arm read more
