Review below: +++++ for Bankert's Garage (Chad and company)…read more I was new to New Oxford and looking for a mechanic ..... I was given Bankerts name from a friend at work. Long story short-ish, Chad and crew repaired my car, timing belt and other things necessary. It was great to have a quiet and smooth running car. A few months later on my way to Virginia, my car broke down. It was taken to a mechanic in Virginia who said my timing belt broke. This had nothing to do with the work Bankerts did, it was a defective part that caused it to break. Not only did Bankerts accept responsibility to repair my car because it was still under warranty, Chad and his wife went above and beyond and drove to VA on a holiday weekend to pick up my car. There is a lot more to this story, and because a lot is mechanical I know I could not explain it all correctly. Chad (Bankert's) was honest, kind and thorough. I would highly recommend Bankerts Garage to anyone wanting and honest and trust worthy mechanic, who does great work! Thank you!!!!! -- looking for recommendations.

We had our insurance company call for a tow. They were timely, courteous, and fast. The insurance company gave the company the incorrect vehicle location, which my husband quickly picked-up on. He reached out to the towing company, and the owner promptly answered. This is unheard of nowadays. Double cab tow truck and immaculate cab. The owner checked with me on the drop off location, and of course. the insurance company relayed the incorrect location. The insurance company stated Frederick, MD; however, the location I need the car to go was a mechanic in Brunswick, MD. The owner said no problem, again unheard of. All I needed to do was let the insurance company know they got it wrong again. In the end, immaculate service on a Saturday night. What I truly appreciated was his high school aged son was assisting that night to learn the business to eventually keep it in the family. I have been towed several times over the years-HANDS DOWN-best experience ever!

I had my front brakes replaced about a year ago, the mechanic at my old shop told me to expect about a year before the rear gave up the ghost. When I heard squeaking when I applied the brakes, I knew it was time. My car is a 2012 and has served me well. I spent all summer at the beach and figured some sand had worked its way into the mechanism. Made my appointment, went in and about a half hour later, Dave comes out of the shop. "You don't need brakes. You have some dust in the mechanism, but they're basically new." Dave saved me hundreds. I will recommend his shop to everyone who listens.
