Shampoo with a scalp massage was delightful. Alisa recommended products for my hair type, but didn't try to sell the products to me. She was very aware that fragrances bother me so she had me smell everything before using to be sure that I was okay with the smell. Alisa is very friendly and personable. Once again I had a great experience with Alisa! She walked me through the curly hair cut, olaplex and gloss treatment and she took her time perfecting my look, making sure she knew exactly what I desired before and during my haircut/olapex/gloss treatment. I left with nicely styled, shiny hair. I appreciated that she took mental note of how much I cared about adding volume to my wash and go and educated me along the way so that I can go home and use some of her tips and tricks for acheiving more volume and definition. I Accidentally went to the wrong salon in Newport. Alisa was very accommodating and still took me even though I arrived 40 minutes later than my scheduled app. We had a chat before the cut just to get a history of my hair and method of care; I can tell she is very passionate about curly hair, and it was reassuring to know that she is proficient in multiple methods of haircut. I have been to many hair salons and not many are able to properly style my hair at the end, but she was able to get my curls defined and shiny. If you have very thick very curly hair, expect to pay over $300 for a cut. read more

I live with family that is immunocompromised and I wouldn't want to put them at risk of covid. I put in a request for an appointment on their website, then Alisa reached out to me through text. She assured me that they are following strict covid sanitation protocols. We texted prior to me coming into the salon about what I wanted. This was my first time getting a Devacut. I must say that I have never felt so safe and trusting in a salon, especially as a curly girl and even more so now with the pandemic. Everyone wore masks, including customers and staff. Alisa has helped my poor thin, sad, damaged hair that was struggling oh-so-bad when I first started coming to her. My hair was a mess. It was over-dyed and in need a trim about 2 years ago. Shelby was amazing....I can I a couple week prior to my appointment, because honestly my hair was so brassy from a really really bad die job...but that is a long story. She talked me through the process and told me this might take a couple of times to get me where I wanted to be, but she was very honest and open about it. The day of my appointment she made it all happen so seamless...and she did it all so quick, I honestly was shocked. I am almost completely brass free and I got in for my second appointment July 6th.
