DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Fair warning, they don't care about the condition of your goods, nor do they care that everything did not show up to your new location. The guys that actually did the move out and move in were great when doing their job. What happened in between is anyone's guess. Amongst the missing is a nearly new sas subwoofer, a forge cast iron set (still in box), and 2 sets of bamboo sheets with undercovers. A wheel was completely knocked off of a cedar hope chest leaving a 2" hole where the tearout was in 3/4" thick cedar plank. Another wheel was also missing off of another large antique wardrobe. Thank god it was not ripped out as well, just missing.... No explanation as to how or why, just to call and make a claim. Claim sent back in mid October 2021, have not heard anything back as of this writing. Getting prepped for court. Too many bad moving companies in Florida. Really bad thing is that these guys are contracted to move our veterans from base to base. read more

My family is in the military so we have a lot of experience with moving and moving companies. This is by far the absolute worst moving company we have had. They broke so many things and just threw things in boxes. They put a bowling ball into a box with a glass frame! They were supposed to unload and unpack, but refused to do so even after being shown on the paperwork where it was stated. Their excuse was "no one told them about it." This was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. Most of my furniture was broke and if it wasn't completely broke it was scratched or chipped. All boxes where smashed. When they opened the truck up to move us in nothing was tied down and it looked like they threw our stuff in with no regards to packing it tightly. The movers them self where so incompetent. Two of them I caught getting high while working. When I asked the driver about how the truck was packed and the condition of our stuff he said that was usual with this company. When I complained to the manager, instead of apologizing he gave me the run around about how great the management in the Jacksonville office was. If the management is so great why is my move and many others done so wrong. Also, they kept charging me for storage for an extra two months before they could get it right. From start to finish, the experience was great. Maayan, my move coordinator was so helpful in getting me setup with a move appointment in such a short amount of time (I called her back Friday morning for an appointment on early Tuesday morning). Of the places I've researched, they ended up being the most noteworthy, the most reasonably priced and the one most willing to move my items in the middle of July to my new 3rd floor apartment, with no elevator. Brandon and Chris gave me a courtesy call before they came to let me know they were on the way, which is always nice. I was taken aback when they pulled up in a Penske truck as I thought they had their own truck fleet, but whatever, as long as the job gets done. They were very pleasant as I walked them through the house showing them everything I needed to move and they got right on it, wrapping the heavy, cloth, and fragile items in blankets. Brandon made small talk with me as he was working and that put me at ease. I told him that I only wanted the clothes in my closet to be packed up but when I went to check it, they both packed everything in there up! I wasn't upset as it didn't cost me extra and that only meant less for me to transport (I still had more stuff to move but I decided to do that myself.). They followed me over to my apartment, got everything up the steps, and reassembled anything that was taken apart. They were very careful about going around corners and didn't hit any baseboards or walls. No rushing through the job at all. They took one break halfway through as like I said, it was the middle of July and it was HOT. The final price with the packing materials was waaaay less than I thought it would be and I was very happy about that. I thanked them, gave them a nice tip and they were on their way, Central Florida I believe Brandon told me. Wow. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. Took under 3 hours. read more

Do not use this company. They moved us from Jacksonville, Florida to Ponte Vedra, Florida, approximately 20 miles. I was assured that the move was local and I would not need to buy extra insurance. Nothing was further from the truth. Their movers were unprofessional and had no leader and apparently no training. They managed to damage almost every piece of furniture we own. We called the office twice during the move to ask for a supervisor to call us because the movers were destroying our furniture. No one ever called us back. We sent the company almost 200 pictures showing damage. Although our furniture was in pristine condition and no damage was noted; the company says that it is all cosmetic and normal wear and tear. They actually bent the touch plate on the back of the china cabinet and parts of my leather couch are now embedded in my walls. They broke a one of a kind blown glass bowl and offered me $12 to replace it. There is actually a spot on a shelf inside of an armoire that looks like it was sliced with a knife. No one has apologized or said "We are sorry you feel that way." read more

This was the worst experience we have ever encountered. These people broke so much of our stuff and damaged A special cherry heirloom dresser by drilling multiple holes to attach the mirror which I didn't see until the mirror fell off the dresser and nearly injured me. They scraped up and damaged our new elliptical machine and desk. They quote policy to avoid accountability. For example, the desk was particle board so not their problem that the guy was slamming his hands on it and broke it when forcing it together. Boxes not packed by them don't matter even though I went to great pains to pack with plenty of bubble wrap. Yet, they through boxes around marked fragile. Yes they are going to reimburse us just under $200 for the items but it is t about the money for us. We just want to make sure people know that this company has no regard for people's personal items. Absolutely the worse moving company out there...stay away from them. They do not pack your items in accordance with moving standards set. When they loaded it into the truck they were just shoving things around with no care at all with your items. The lead packer got into an argument with my wife as both doors were open which is understandable as they were moving but then they turnaround and say it is too hot and turned our thermostat down without telling us. Once we caught on and turn the thermostat back to 78 , they turned it down to 70. The lead packer started going off and we explained as long as both doors are open the AC will never shut off and will not get any cooler in the house. Along with the worse packing job ever they banged around all items and nearly everything is scratched, dented, or completely ruined. When they got to our new house they slid the couch across the solid oak floors and gouged the floor in 3 different spots, impacted the dry wall with the corner of something and did not say a word about it. Hopefully this review will stay on line. I was sent an email to review DN Van Lines and when I filled out the truthful albeit horrible experience with DN Van Lines, it was deleted. I noticed from this that the last review was last year, which also explains a lot. I hired them to move me from Jacksonville or Orlando. I had six weeks before my apartment was ready, so I placed my things in storage and I paid every month... including two months AFTER they "moved" my things out. I had to call them every month to remind them that I no longer rent with them. The day of moving, they were supposed to be there by 8:30 am, when I saw NOR heard from anyone at 12:00 pm, I called the office and they were surprised that no one was there. I then received a call from Charles (Chuck) who was a manager that the truck never started so they had to get a new one. This is understandable, but please call the people to let them know as they don't wait AND miss an appointment I had in Gainesville at 3:00 pm because they never left my apartment until 3:00 and it is a two + hour drive to Gainesville. When I moved into my apartment, I called to have them move my furniture down. They arrived at 2:00 pm, but had THE WRONG FURNITURE. Again, I spoke to Chuck who was responsible for getting the correct furniture on the truck. They would have to drive to Jacksonville, unload that furniture and load my furniture and head back. They finally arrived at 10:00 pm and RUSHED through getting my furniture into the apartment. They threw my memory foam mattress, that was 2 months old before going into storage and had broken down and had lumps all over it... they stood it up on its side and ruined the mattress, onto the bedroom floor and didn't put the bed together. They placed my 200 lb dresser on its side in the bedroom, as a woman living alone, I had to have my maintenance crew come help me put the dresser on its four legs and put my bed together. Several pieces of furniture NEVER arrived and those that did were scratched, dinged, dirty, ruined; chair cushion of dining room chair was burned with something-had to throw chair away, coffee table arrived in four pieces and the two drawers that went into storage never came back out, a 4' x 4' lazy susan I put my TV on never arrived, a plate hanger my grandmother gave me from when she got married in 1905 never arrived, several boxes, 5' x 5' pictures were kicked out of their frames and scratched all around (but at least the glass stayed in tact). I was living out a suit case and working a lot of hours, so when I finally contacted them to tell them about the damage/missing furniture I was never told "sorry", "we will take a look and see if any of those things are still here", etc., but that it was too late for me to file a claim. I have moved several times across several states and these guys are without a doubt the worst MOST unprofessional people I have EVER come across and as someone who has worked in Customer Service for 30+ years, that is saying A LOT!!!! I always compliment people when they do a good job or go above and beyond and have a tendency to let bygones be bygones, but this was beyond the pale. They were awful enough that this is my second horrible review and like I said, I hope this one will not be deleted because people in Jacksonville need to be wary of this company on ALL levels. So this company would have received ten stars if yelp would let me give that many; however 5 will have to do. Let me start with the positives: the two men moving my stuff were really friendly, and moved at a satisfying pace (paying customer wise). They were very respectful and polite and represented their company well. I also really enjoyed speaking with the manager as well as another woman (Liz) who were very helpful and accommodating. This seems like a company that really wants to do right by their customers and coming from a family of past and current business owners, I grew up with the same mentality of always pleasing the paying customers. So great job there. My only (now) neutral point was that there was a math error and I was overcharged. However, I called up right away and the company was really outstanding in fixing my issues. I felt very confident about what I was paying for with the information and time stamps provided. The manager made sure things were rectified in my favor, which I thought was really genuine of him. Like I said, I come from a family of business owners and therefore my standards for how clients should be treated are quite high and from start to finish, DN Van Lines has gone beyond what I expected. Now, I still have to have them move my items to my new house in another month from now, but I'm confident that my review at that time will be another 5 stars! Thanks DNVL! read more

DO NOT RISK IT! They arrived 2 hours late to transport from Tampa to Jax. That was okay, but once in Jax the driver hit our apt building and caused $3,000 worth of damage. It happened on a Sunday so I was unable to report it to my leasing office until Monday. When the leasing agent got in contact with customer service (Odedd) out of the base office in Mass. he reported that the driver (Brandon) and other mover (Shaun) stated that they didn't hit the building. I'm dumbfounded that a company would hire such dishonest people. We are in the process of taking them to court due to us having witness statements and proof of the damage. We are also military like the person below and this company was by far the WORST moving company we have ever had in our 25 plus years in the service. They were contracted with the government so we had zero control over picking them. The amount of damage to our household goods was beyond what we could imagine. I was heart broken with each box that we opened and dumbfounded by their complete lack of care and consideration. They had complete disregard for our personal belongings and broke many of the rules (without or knowledge) In regards to what they couldn't pack but did anyway. We literally had boxes leaking motor oil!!!! My driver refused to take boxes because he didn't want to be held liable (different company), and I didn't blame him. We actually had to have DN Van Lines come back to repack boxes as we were being loaded by a different company. That is unheard of! That caused a delay in loading and we had to have another a shipment come later. That separate shipment didn't get to us until 2 weeks after our promised delivery by date. We also had an inspector come from the local military base, and he was livid about the way things had been packed and the process in which it incurred. We were supposed to have four people, we only had three, and one of them who was said to be the foreman of the job, left for eight hours of the workday for a doctors appointment after being 3 hours late that day!!!!! We only had 2 people (brand new) packing us out. They did not leave until midnight that night which I guess is a major violation with the government. We had steel toe boots mixed in with lamps, scratchy Christmas wreathes shoved in with my TV, they put an oversized flower pot inside of our Weber smoker and destroyed that, and the stories go on. But the "best" one was that they took our American flag, crumpled it up and out the flag pole inside a wardrobe box, but it was about 2 " too long, so they bend the pole to make it fit in the box. I had many many conversations with Oded the manager and although he was apologetic, I don't believe that he ever quite understood the magnitude of his employees' behavior and blatant disregard for our life's work. DN Van Lines has scarred me and I am terrified for our move this summer. But I guess the good news is, they are only based out of Jacksonville, FL and lucky for us we are moving to a place where they don't work. If you have the choice, DO NOT let DN Van Lines move you. I used this company to move my household from Massachusetts to Orlando. The load included about 200 boxes of household items plus furniture such as beds, couches, tables, and a treadmill. The treadmill and most of the furniture and the boxes made the trip without damage, so that part was great. One of the issues that we experienced during this move is that this company lost our box containing a Roomba vacuum. Besides that they broke an IKEA table and told us that it was not covered by the additional insurance that we had purchased from them (because it was made of plywood or something like that). A larger issue I have with this company is, however, that they are supposed to be a "full service" mover and that is how they marketed themselves to us as well. What this means is that the cost they quote us includes both dis-assembly and re-assembly of the furniture. However, the team that delivered the goods on the 20-foot truck here in Florida included only 2 people. It was completely undermanned, probably as a cost saving / profit increase measure. As a result my husband ended up having to help the movers unload the goods and after 6 hours of work they still did not have enough time of the day to actually re-assemble the furniture. My advice to anyone wanting to hire this company is: 1. get a confirmation on what kind of items may not be covered by their additional insurance. 2. ensure that the team of people they send in the delivery-end is large enough to complete the work properly during the allotted time. read more

The manager did not want to fix anything. I had to threaten to go to the State department that oversees movers to get anything. I would move myself before I used this company again. read more

Absolute nightmare from phone call to finish. Maayan did not give me adequate information. I moved on Sunday had to pay cash as I could not get a certified check on Sunday. Moving men two boys 21 and 23 ? Insisted I sign papers prior to moving the furniture. Asked what I wanted wrapped and then didn't comply. Damaged my refrigerator that I need a new door. They only put a blanket over the top. Apologized and lied telling me not to worry they had insurance. Then spoke to Charlie their boss who told me I was insured. They held my furniture HOSTAGE until I paid cash up front. Then yesterday Monday I get an email from a man called Oded Carmi, who told me I stole the waiver that he claims I signed waiving there responsibility. Also an email was sent to me according to them with my agreement to these terms. I never signed and returned this agreement. Last but most ridiculous of all Mr Carmi claims I did not request insurance, or wrap items and tape for an extra fee! I am 64 years old and have moved several times. Never have I had to buy tape or ask for insurance that wasn't offered to me. THIS COMPANY CONSIST OF THIEVES. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT HIRE THEM.
