Employees here are so rude and not helpful. I'm from Madera but would rather drive to Fresno.!

    Truck Nation School

    Truck Nation School

All the CDL schools in central CA are a bit janky and all have their own pros and cons. Truck Nations biggest pro is the staff. Their instructors are absolutely fabulous. Manny was my yard instructor and got me up to speed with safety inspections and basic driving skills (ever try to parallel park a semi and trailer?), then Ke and Alphonso were my over the road instructors who elevated my skills waaaay past the DMV's qualifications to pass the test. Then the manager - Lulu - made sure I was ready to test at the DMV then got me in right away. To be honest, I kinda miss them all as we because we became fast friends. Now, the downside of Truck Nation rests on two items that they could easily fix. First is the hardware you drive on - it's really bad. The trucks in the yard break down a lot, they are filthy and just do not operate well. I would like to have been learning on the exact same truck as I took the DMV test with but it's just not possible here. Second is the lack of organization when it comes to the various courses of instruction. I had no problem getting the info I needed but I saw others really struggling because they did not know (or were never told) what they needed to learn. I saw 2 students demanding their money back. But I also saw 5 students (including myself) sail right thru the course in less than 6 weeks and nail the DMV test. So, if you can deal with the organization issues and if you are not afraid to ask "what do I need to learn to pass my DMV test" at the end of each week you will do well.

Paid 2000 dollars for nothing basically. I was giving some packets and sent on my way no real…read moretraining or help getting my permit. I did it all my self. After you get your permit with no help you get someone to go over the pre trip with you for a total of three minutes that's 91 items. Then you have to memorize them your self again with no help. If you can manage all that then you have to email someone else at another location to get on the list to start driving. Overall I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not even sure you can really call truck nation a school because by definition for it to be a school shouldn't they be teaching you something. It's more of a DIY course in my opinion. Unfortunately the majority or trucking schools seem to be this way. Just know better options are available. Just do your own research before spending the money.
