Was told my refund to remove one car was $500. I called the next day to remove all cars and all drivers and now my refund is $150 dollars. When it was time to renew my insurance they charged me $900. When i removed one car they still charged me $900. Scammers!! read more

Since I work in Madera, I have not had a chance to go to DMV (in Madera or Fresno) and get my tags taken care of so my parents told me to go to AAA in Madera on my lunch break due to the fact it will not be as crowded. I arrived at AAA around 12:10pm and was instantly greeted by an helper. She asks to see my AAA card, ID and car registration info. In a few minutes I was done and walked outside to put the new blue 2018 sticker on my car and had 40 minutes to spare. I wish DMV was like that. I even got a print out of my coverage due to me losing mine and they promptly printed one out for me and I was good to go. Easy breezy, no stress transaction. read more

On 10/30/21 between the hours 4:00 pm and 4:15 pm. My 84 y/o Aunt's vehicle stopped. She is a member of AAA. She called the number located on the back of the Membership card and began the process for road service. She also selected 1 to receive text messages. She called me to let me know why she would be a late arriving home. After an hour and half passed I phoned her and asked to come wait with her, but she declined stating that AAA should be there soon. She also stated that she had called them again and AAA reiterated the same story "They will be coming". She stated that she called them 3 times. Well along about 6:15 pm I called my Aunt again concerned that it was getting late and I'm concerned about her safety and it was getting dark outside; I wanted to pick her up, however she stated that she did not want to leave her car. I asked her to provide me with the number she called for AAA and I would call them. I called AAA and a nice gentleman responded. I stated that my Aunt who is 84 years old has been waiting over 2 hours for AAA service. I stated that she is located in Madera CA (where she resides). He immediately looked up and found her information and ticket. He stated that AAA did not have anyone to come out (respond) in this area (Madera, CA) but that they were looking for a tow company and when they (AAA) located one he would call my Aunt at the phone number she provided them with. I appreciated the fact that he was candid with me on her behalf. What I would like to know is WHY wasn't she told this information when she initially called them and/or WHY wasn't there any follow-up calls or TEXT from AAA to inform her of this information? This is very concerning, as she has been a member of AAA for many years. Is there a lack of training with the AAA call Representatives? or Dispatch? I too am a Member AAA and thinking perhaps of making a change due to this unfortunate event. read more

TERRY LECKBEE- AAA tow truck driver in Madera, CA: This man is one of a kind. I broke down in Madera on the 99 in the middle of the night and had to push my car to the nearest hotel. First thing in the morning, AAA sent me a tow truck. Terry arrived, and I asked him to tow me to the garage around the corner. He was genuine in his concern for me- he said based on how my engine sounded, it was serious, and he felt the garage around the corner would try to take advantage of the situation. He urged me to call to check if I had an extended warranty on file with my (used) car. Turns out I did! He said if I let another garage touch my car, my warranty would be ruined- and I would have to pay out of pocket. He advised I use my 100 mile tow to Stockton (where I had been headed) to the Kia dealership. Terry saw I was distressed, and he was so calm and decisive, and I know he had my best interest at heart. What an angel in a time of need! This man is 100% professional and 100% kindhearted. It was a part defect, and the engine was ruined. As a long time AAA member in Madera I am less than pleased with the way the business seems to be ran today vs. years past. Most all the time the help up front is very friendly and punctual. Occasionally it seems in disarray, perhaps understaffed with no one appearing to be in charge. Recently I encountered difficulty with a male agent in the office, I was hung up on and then lied to about the the disconnect and then later told it was accidental and waited hours for a call back. I got this after I asked to speak to a manager and got a run around with a couple call foreword/waits/transfers. The bottom line is I got "canned" "total BS" responses to a real issue that needed to be resolved at that moment. Customer service seems to take a back seat at this office. I hold the manager directly responsible for the failing, citing a willful lackluster defense of its clients need in lieu of defending poor customer relations/service by one of its own. I went to the AAA corporate website and attempted to find a way to take my complaint further but was unable to find a working email for anyone that will help - another complaint. read more
