The wait was less than 10 minutes and I was at a gate speaking with a DMV employee reviewing my information to provided me with a new drivers license ... well a temp anyway. Next I had to take the exam. I had 25 minutes to take it. The two people in the exam area were very helpful and were sure to help us with remaining time. The place needs to be empty at closing/ 6 pm. The test is open book, and it's online. I passed! Overall experience was amazing. Every step of the process was easy and efficient from the website application, changing my address, date and time selection, arrived a little late and no one was phased (except me), short wait time, talking with a DMV agent, taking my test and getting my temporary license. Easy peassy!

I was approved 2 years later after having to fight for it. I was approved my the judge on May 27th and ssdi approved me June 30th, I got a letter stating that my back pay was on hold due to my ssi application. I was denied ssi on July 7th 2026 which was my interview with them but yet, as they sent a letter saying it was the 16th of july 2026. They released the payment to my lawyers, and when i spoke to ssdi the end if july they said i should have my back pay by the 22nd of August 2026, said if i had not heard anything by that yime then to call. I called and was told ssi had not closed out my case and my back pay is still on hold! Lol so it's been almost 45 days since i was denied by ssi even though it shows i was denied in both ssi and ssdi systems they will not release my back pay until ssi processes my case. My landlord was diagnosed with cancer and has been fighting and found out 1 week ago about there is nothing else they can do for him and gas 6 months to live. I am and have been counting on this back oay from ssdi that i have fought 2 years for and waited 70 minutes on the phone today to be tomd i should just be patient. Being told ssi case mamget has not done their job. They wonder why there are soooo many homeless and upset and angry people. But when some on the other end that has an attitude from the get go of answering the phone and you are truong very hsrd to be nice. I actially have no patience for people who are unable to do.their jobs! And if anyone makes thos political it's not a political thing. It's a person that is holding up my back pay. I even asked if there was anything i could so to help speed it along. I was tomd they sent an email to the manager. So I am just supposed yo have patience well maybe they should be more patient with people and nicer wjen answering their calls!

The District Court handles probate, adoption, civil, domestic, criminal, and juvenile cases, as well as housing the Utah Supreme Court (Appeals Court). The majority of business that happens here is down on the first floor in the north wing of the building. This is where the clerks for domestic, civil and criminal do their work. It also holds the probate clerk. The line for the clerks is often long and you may have to wait upward of 40 minutes sometimes. This is not typical however and the clerks do the best they can. The clerks office is very short staffed, so don't blame them. they are doing the best they can, and most are extremely helpful and will point you in the right direction. This is NOT the place you go if you are paying a traffic violation. For that you need to go to the Salt Lake Justice Court. Coming here wastes your time and others time. Don't do it. There is also a cafe located in the back west wing on the first floor. I cannot attest to the food there as I have never eaten there, but I am told that the food isn't terrible. All in all this courthouse is nice, but hopefully you never need to come here.

You'll immediately notice that it shares the property with a public elementary school. They use the gym during the day, but the weight room and track upstairs is available to the residents all day. Another thing you'll quickly notice is the lack of parking. They recently changed the entry procedures to allow visitors to enter the back door where the parking lot is. You used to have to walk around the building-which was rather painful in the winter since you have to walk through a muddy field. The facilities inside are adequate. You'll find the basic workout machines, weights, treadmills, etc. It can get busy during peak times or seasons, but people are usually pretty friendly and willing to take turns. There are also group fitness classes-they rotate schedules each quarter and offer the first week free so you can try them out. You can buy a pass or do a drop in class occasionally. Childcare is also available for an additional fee. Watch the LiveDaybreak website or social media to see what activities will be held here.
