Short version: 5 stars for the Gentlemen in the office can be strong and very direct, but they are great at what they do. Don, Keith, and Dewayne will get the job done. Office lady, Jade: energy is proceed irritable, impatient, unprofessional, & rude. More detail: -4 My rate was from today's attitude from Jade. The tone she sets is uneasy, & uncomfortable. However, Jade energy today, cause moves to shift. Coming from North Houston, (near 45 off 1960, Don office) to view the very first property that's basically Katy, at rush hour 3:12p. I spoke with jade via text to confirm first location, as well as my ETA, (45 minutes). Jade was 20 minutes from first location. She was inquiring about the second location, to see if it was closer. (I wondered to whom, me or you. I withheld my comment). Jade requested me to send the second address, I comply. She wants to view the distance which I totally understand, being from Houston. Jade disclosed that she's new to Houston and not very knowledgeable about the various of distance. Once arrive at our very first location, she takes a look at my elderly father & stated to my mother, (in the driveway) "why is he looking at me like that? " My mom says he's looking at us. In a fun manner. Inside the home. Jade made a statement. "Ya'll had me waiting for nearly 30-35 minutes" (Girlfriend are you serious? I withheld). Me: Houston is very large, plus it's rush hour. My mother was flying to get here. We came from the across town in rush hour. Sometimes it can take 2 hours" At the second location Jade states, (while opening someone else's mail, which was facial cream): So ya'l pick out a place now? Me: "ugh, no, why would we be viewing this home, if we selected a place, that don't make any sense" J: well ya'll seen all the properties, ya'l haven't pick one? Me: this is the second viewing. No we haven't selected a home. Along with some other choice of words, which I don't care to remember. But how annoying when playing $1,400 for a service to be spoken to like that. I didn't appreciate it, especially with my parents. Then how she was flying knowing that we were following her, she was like: "You can just put it in your GPS. I'm gonna open this house and I'm gone" Honey miss thang didn't give two flips. My mother gave her a compliment on her Gucci flip flops. Her response "yeah, they were really expensive too". (How you got Gucci flip flops, but your vehicle from carmax. I withheld). This kind of customer service was a bit irritating, especially when it's being paid for. She's an advocate and a voice for this business. It's important how you treat and make clients feel. read more

Every good review is a lie. They paid a company to create dummy accounts with fake positive reviews. Each positive reviewer has no followers, not following anyone, and only have one review. So don't be fooled into believing 90% of these reviews. The down side is there are a lot of people that will admit needing their services because of life. The problem is the people at DMR know this and treat EVERY customer like shit! Not every person working for the company is rude. If your last hope for home rental is to use DMR, then I strongly recommend using the staff at the Galleria office ONLY! The entire staff at the North Houston location is rude, liars, and extremely unprofessional! The staff at the downtown office is going to be a carbon copy of the North location. The Galleria location seems to be the only office with people with some customer service skills. The communication is challenging at times, but they will do get back with you mostly through text. Plus, the Galleria team did get me in a home so I appreciate Shawn, Lexi, and Amber! 3 1/2 stars! Do not expect to be in a home for at least 3 to 4 months. A lot of listing agents are aware of DMR and are being extremely careful when taking applications from agents DMR uses. So the radio ads of 3 days will never happen. read more

DMR staff including the owner Don Reid are very rude and unprofessional. They talk to you any kind of way and when you try to voice your opinion you get thrown out by their security. Also they are charging people a non refundable high risk fee of whatever your budget is so if you want to spend $1600 a month on rent thats how much the fee is and they don't explain to you that the fee does not go towards your house until its too late and you've already signed their contract! We have been working with this company for 3 weeks now and so far we have shelled out over 3,500 with no results. James one of their assosiates has a horrible personnality and wont answer any of your questions directly they are very secretive about their process and wont keep you informed along the way. You litterally have to call the property manager of the property that you are trying to obtain in order to get any information because D.M.R will not give it to you they will just drop the famous line talk to Don who is the owner of the company and will hardly ever respond to you unless you go to his office. They charge you a ridiculous service fee being a minimum of 1,400 but always tell you to bring the max that you are willing to spend monthly. Once they get your service fee the tables turn they treat us clients as if we are less than or beneath them i understand they provide a service for individuals with less than perfect credit but that dosent give them the right to treat people like trash. The only respectable person in that office is Shawn she is always nice and polite to my wife and I when we go to the office. D.M.R properties needs a complete overhaul with their staff and procedurs. Don you need to show a little more empathy with your clients because having less than perfect credit in this day and age especially for a black person in america is stressfull enough. Wasted my damn time before even getting started. Had an appointment today at 3/1/2021 @5pm. I get there and the door is locked so I rang the doorbell. Someone came in the room I can see in and sat on sofa, so I know someone was there. waited and rang both bells again. after seeing someone come in the room and walk out. Then another person (female) walks in the room looked right at me and turned around and left. by this time I was calling number back that called me earlier. no answer and I was leaving a voicemail. when I saw the female look and turn around that was it for me! horrible customer service. just left me standing out there without even coming to the door.
