Second, let me stress that he gives a fair and reasonable price. In fact, his bid was literally half of that of another contractor, for the exact same project. And lastly, and most importantly, let me stress how impressed with the quality of work Mark and his team do. We are very happy with the end result, and he gave us the exact look that we wanted for our pavers. Attached are two pictures. The first is a photo of what the original entrance looked like when we first bought the house 13 years ago. I included this photo only to show what the walkway looked like before. The house had since been painted but the walkway and the decomposed granite were still just like this before our current project. The second shows what our entrance looked like before Mark had put in the pavers. It didn't always look quite this bad, but we had to put in two pillars to hold up a beam that was sagging. That required us to demo the concrete walkway. The contractor who was doing that part of the job for us was unable to secure a reliable concrete or paver subcontractor, so we did a search here on Yelp and found Mark. The second picture was taken just moments ago when Mark finished the job. We absolutely love it! We can't recommend him enough!

He went above and beyond to make sure all questions and concerns were addressed! He was also the most reasonably priced out of all the contractor bids we obtained. He also used a higher PSI than we initially planned and he even hired a truck to deliver the cement (instead of hand-mixing it, which could've resulted in it not coming out right). He also placed wood along our artificial turf and the pre-existing concrete sidewalk. He also carefully planned where the joints would go, so that it would line up with the pre-existing joints. At the end, he also took care to brush the concrete in the same direction as the rest of the driveway. He then placed caution tape around the area, to make sure no one stepped in the new concrete. Then, after the concrete mostly dried, he came back a 2nd time to then file down part of the pre-existing drain to make sure there wasn't a potential trip hazard. Additionally, per our request, he also marked the edge in yellow to be extra careful (it was our personal preference, which he was wonderful to accommodate)! There was also a tiny space around the pre-existing drain that the concrete wouldn't really fit in, so per our request, he used a type of caulk/filler. When it settled more, there was still a little gap, so he came back a 3rd time (free of charge) to put more in! Charles Fletcher is an amazing artist and knows what he's doing! If we ever have more concrete work in the future, we'll definitely be contacting him again! I highly, highly recommend him and his concrete services! Thanks so much Charles!

However, none of them were up to par when compared to McCabe Concrete. The owner Jim ( or Fred) was simply amazing for the following reasons. 1. Upon initial contact, Jim was quick to respond. The open line of communication remained throughout the course of the project. 2. It was extremely important for me to know the materials that were being used, the color and the finishing of the final product as well as the type of stones that were used so I can achieve my vision. Jim was extremely patience in receiving my input, as well as providing me with his expertise so the product can be visually and structurally sound. 3. Finally, Jim's pricing was extremely fair. I would contact Jim in a heartbeat for a future project, and I highly recommend you to do the same.

There was over 19 yards of space that we wanted to redesign and construct. From the moment John came out he was extremely honest about what it would take to get the job done properly. We initially were drawn to his company because he had done all of the concrete work at our community pool where we live and it was a huge job beautifully done, so we figured if he was good enough to do that he's very qualified to do our house. When we received his initial contract estimate, it was broken down very clearly itemizing every step of the process and the corresponding price. He was also very forthright about items that he could not predict, and what they would cost if those items would be found during the demo process. The team of guys that he has have been with him for over 25 to 35 years, which is a testament to him and his wife in terms of how they treat people. Workers wouldn't stay around if they weren't being treated well like this. The project took about two weeks and those guys were on time every single morning and diligently worked throughout the day like a well oiled machine. Everyone knew their task and they were just get to it. Every evening they would sweep the driveway and make it as neat as they possibly could during the whole construction process. The prep work was immaculate including rerouting the drainage system, creating a solid base of decomposed granite and reinforcing the base with rebar. Again, every single thing that they promised in the initial consultation was done, including covering the stucco that we had recently painted with plastic sheeting to protect it from damage. Finally came the pour and again it really was amazing to watch these guys moving around each other. Very efficiently. The final outcome was beautiful. They still have to just come back in a few days to remove the forms, but my wife and I couldn't be happier with the job that they did. There's no question if it comes to a concrete project there is no other contractor I'll ever consider calling. You just have to be a little patient initially because as you can appreciate a contractor of such quality is not available to start your job tomorrow! He has a backlog of work, and again that confirms your calling the right Contractor. While initially, we were wishing that we didn't have to wait a couple of months for him to start, in retrospect I would say to you that he is absolutely worth waiting for, and I'm sure that the backlog is not always that long. It just happened to be summer and some large community areas needed to be done. But he finds a way to work you into the schedule. This is an A class Contractor and you won't be disappointed.
