We learned not to show up at check in time because the lines can get a little long. We would go during the week when we had that option because it's way less crowded. Once you get a Winstar card, they send you all kinds of deals to save money and to use for gambling. For some reason, my dad was the only one that would receive a postcard in the mail for a free gift, so we would always get in line and claim that! The crowd is a little bit older and in some ways I really enjoyed that. I love their slot machines and they do offer free soft drinks and coffee while you are gambling. You're not allowed to take drinks onto the casino floor so be sure to have some available in your room. One great benefit for older folks is that they have free wheelchairs available at most of the entrances. You just pick one up on your way in and can use it for your stay, then just leave it at the door when you leave. And if there aren't any available, the staff is usually very helpful in finding one for you. It's really nice not having to load up a wheelchair in a vehicle when you make a trip to Winstar. And if you prefer a scooter, there are several companies that will deliver it right to the hotel. We tried several of the restaurants in the casino and our favorite was the fish and chips. They have quite a variety of food places throughout the casino. They also have a large variety of slot machines, from the newest to the oldest. And their casino is huge and very nicely decorated, especially the newer parts. I'm looking forward to my next trip there!

The place was packed but they were organized, staffed, and ready. All employees were friendly and helpful. Restrooms, walk ways, stairs were clean and safe. Parking garage was easy, free, and safe. It was about $20 for a large popcorn and 2 large sodas. Sodas are free refills and the large popcorn is $3.50 for a refill.

It's just that they don't seem to have the budget they need for maintenance. The seats are pretty old and hard. Emergency exit doors aren't properly sealed in multiple theatres...so if you see something when it's still light out you'll be distracted by the bright light coming in the door. Some of the theatres have weird things going on with the lights too....some flicker/strobe during a movie, which is very distracting at best and possibly seizure inducing at worst. The oven thing they use to heat the snack foods needs some work too...sometimes it only heats part of what goes in it and leaves the rest very cold. The key thing I have to remind myself about is the HVAC system....if it's hot outside, bring a sweater. If it's cold outside, wear layers that you can remove.

The theater is old so the seats tend to recline whether you want to or not. No stadium seating here and the room I was in was small for todays standards. However, it is very clean the best I could see. I went to a matinee and it wasn't overrun with inconsiderate moviegoers texting and such. Signs indicate they will allow you to take food in from the food court.

Fortunately, this was minus all of the annoying advertisements that come with those theaters and instead Alamo's fun intro shorts. Food and drink, of course, were on point with the usual Alamo selections. The vegan cauliflower with the gochujang sauce were stellar and there were many good beer selections available. Service was incredibly fast but perhaps due to the fact that I was at an 11:45am showing on a weekday. Still, I appreciated the friendly and helpful service when inquiring about seasonal draft selections. Enjoy the film!

The in-theater waits are equally rough, and they still close you out early, which means the servers disappear about halfway into the film. Note that tips are added automatically. A fair practice but a good thing to keep in mind!

It was so nice that there was a free parking garage in walking distance. The escalator was broken but thankfully there was an elevator for our friend that can't do stairs. The seats were amazing as they reclined well. Be careful with that jalapeño cheddar popcorn seasoning lol it'll get ya! They also had a bar area that was also part of the event and had a photo booth from our event. So fun! Eddy had us cracking up.

That's not really a huge deal as I'm not going there to eat anyway. It's close by and easy to get in and out of. There are also plenty of nearby restaurants. This is ridiculous. I'm assuming the manager is not trained well or lost the paper with the contact information. This theater didnt make an accident report when my wife fell with the theater stairs. There was no lighting for your feet when using the stairs during the movie. It was dark, and she fell and busted up her knee. She didn't want to make a commotion and waited for the movie to be over, and we reported it right after. The attendant contacted a manager we spoke to him about it. I stated that I have seen theaters with lighting with the stairs, but didn't see that here, and that my wife busted up her knee. Wanted to report it for documentation. He said ok and left to go get something. We thought he was getting an incident/accident form to fill out, and all he brought was blank paper and a pen. Had her leave her name and number. He did offer an ambulance and a band-aid, but nothing else. He didn't offer her a chair when she was showing pain standing. He said someone would contact her the next day. No one has called about it. With a big chain like this, there is usually a protocol for accidents and forms to fill out for liability, and there was nothing. I don't know if he wasn't trained well or they didn't take it seriously. My wife is still in pain, and in the picture that I'm attaching is all the bruising that is developing. I dont recommend this theater especially for safety concerns.
