I was excited about this dry cleaner because it had such good reviews and was nearby but unfortunately I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a business here. I brought in my $500 wool coat. After it had been cleaned, there was a massive mark (looked like an iron mark) on the back that had not been there before. I brought it back the next week and showed the owner, who told me he would redo the dry cleaning and attempt to fix it. I came back to pick it up and the mark was still there. I kindly requested that I'd be compensated for the damaged coat and the owner began to get angry and tell me that I had no proof that they had ruined it. The owner refused to compensate me for the jacket, and instead offered 20% off my next service. I let him know that if he was unable to compensate me for the jacket, I would have to file a claim. He then proceeded to yell at me and tell me I had no proof, and that I was scamming him. As he would not compensate me, I requested that he refund me for the dry cleaning service which was $20. He refused the refund and began to yell at me more, so I quickly exited the establishment and will not be going back. I hope this serves as a warning to anyone else looking for a dry cleaner in the area. Please do not go to D and M cleaner or at least don't bring your valuables there. read more

Little mom and pop laundry place. Michael is always friendly and my dry cleaning gets done quickly and professionally. Price feels a little steep ($11 to dry clean a dress, less for other items), but seems standard for Manhattan. Only complaint is that they're open after I leave for work and before I'm typically home, so I can only pick up and drop off on Saturdays. This is a family establishment so they definitely deserve a day off, though, and location is so convenient that I don't mind too much. Worst experience ever. Came right at open at 7AM. Dropped off my dress shirt and asked for same day cleaning. He said come back at 7PM and I said sure, but what's the earliest? He said 5PM. I came in at 5:05PM, he still didn't have it. I went to the market and got some starbucks, came back at 5:50PM, still didn't have it. He said he would call or text me when it's ready. My event started at 7PM so I just went home and wore something else. He texted me at 7:07, after he technically closed, and told me my shirt was ready. Horrible same day experience, I didn't even get it back same day. When I picked it up the next morning, he didn't offer any change in price. I am SO thankful I found this place. Michael is the sweetest and is always a pleasure to talk to. I normally get my laundry done for same-day pickup (why do I only own one pair of sheets?!) and even if I bring them a little late, he hooks it up for me. He also texted me once to tell me that my laundry was ready way ahead of time, which I thought was really courteous. My clothes always come back folded nicely, smelling clean. DO NOT DO LAUNDRY HERE -DIRTY, BAD SERVICE, RIP-OFF! This is probably the worst place for laundry and the worst service in NYC of any business. 1) This guy charged me 40 dollars for 6 pounds of laundry and 3 men's shirt laundering! He was always in a big rush and would not listen when I specifically said "laundered men's shirt", and he pressed the shirts at 4.00 a shirt (and now this is NOT an organic place). He also took a 8Pound minimum of on a small machine wash of whites... There were literally 4 wife-beaters and 2 paid of under wear, and he charged me 8 pound minimum ( 2) charge $3 pick up and delivery and Was an entire day late on delivery 3) The half-folded laundry was covered with hair! 4) stained one of my husband's dress shirts for work with a giant stain on the back! He tried to argue it was our stain, but I told him it's only bin 10 minutes since the laundry had been dropped off and we couldn't possibly have stained it in just 10 min! He agreed to dry clean but I had to deliver and pick and it took another 4 days!!! 5) lost one of our socks and gave us a stranger's sock. 6) Would not give compensation for any of it including my husband's stained shirt! Made us pay the entire 40 dollars, and I was foolish enough to not close the door in his face Disgusting place, disgusting service, pls do ur self and favor and don't do ur laundry here! read more
