We just had blinds installed in our bedrooms and bathrooms in our Truckee home by D-Lux. They look gorgeous and we are so happy!! Cameron was so professional and kind. We were ready to have him install blinds throughout the home. Cameron cautioned to wait and get to know the home and not to install blinds in the rest of the house immediately. It is a new home and his recommendation was to wait until we knew the sun patterns in the home before we jumped to install in the rest of the home. He also knows the very strict HOA rules in our community and works regularly with the management. He was able to quickly advise us on what type of blinds would be permitted. Frankie is awesome. She is very helpful. We got our whole house outfitted with Hunter Douglass blinds but not all in one shot as it was out of our budget. We worked with the former owner of the business prior to it being sold. Both the old owner and the new one were great. Frankie got us finally finished off for our complete set with the addition of our sliding glass door blind. She explained all of the options and provided pricing in a timely manner. The follow through was good too. We just recently did business with her again when one of our "pull down the bar" type blinds failed. It was ok because that blind was one mistake we originally made. That area is better served to have the cord operated version. So instead of either getting the original one repaired or replaced we decided to upgrade to the cord operated version. It looks great and works way better for that location. In the end, I would highly recommend calling Frankie for all of your window covering needs. Again she is awesome. Update: I originally gave 5 stars. However, after now having our battery operated shades installed for 7 months now, I have to downgrade my rating due to the performance of the shades. I wish there were ratings for product separately from customer service because I'd give the product a 3 and I'd give customer service a 5, as Cameron has been very responsive and has addressed all the issues in a timely manner. Cameron's installer Zach is also very helpful and friendly. From a business perspective Cameron and his team are excellent. The Product Issue: Since original install we have had to have D-Lux back out on at least 3 different occasions due to faulty battery operated shades - i.e., not opening or closing properly. I would absolutely caution anyone who is considering purchasing battery operated shades. In our case our contractor failed to put in the plannedhard-wire (nothing to do with D-Lux) for the electric shades we were planning to install, so we were forced into battery. I'd say if you don't have the option to go with hard-wired, then I would just stick to manual. Performance aside, the shades do look absolutely beautiful. read more

From first contact by phone to installation, D-Lux Window Coverings excelled in every way and continues to do so long after the sale. The advice and Hunter-Douglas products they offer are top-notch, and both D-Lux and Hunter-Douglas stand behind their product. The installation and blind D-Lux picked for us were both flawless. Even so, after we decided we needed to have the shade shortened just about an inch to keep it clear of the snow and ice we found renters dragging in through the door, D-Lux took the blind down, had the factory work done, and put it back-up quickly at no charge to us. D-Lux recommended to us and installed a floor to ceiling blind on a three-panel slider window that looks and works great, has held-up well to our vacation renters, and provides full coverage. After about a year of use when one renter finally managed to break the internal sliding mechanism, D-Lux once again came out quickly, took the blind down, sent it to Hunter-Douglas for repair, and then had it back up just as soon as it was returned, and again all at no charge to us. I highly recommend D-Lux and will use Cameron and his great crew again. They are simply the best. read more

With that caution on my mind, I called the business, trying to schedule the appointment for consultation. Kristal was great on the phone. She was polite, professional and efficient. Minutes after the phone call, I got an email confirmation of the appointment - I had a good first impression. Cameron was great - on the day of the consultation appointment, he called before the scheduled time and asked whether he could come earlier. He had finished an earlier appointment ahead of schedule. It was perfect for us so he showed up 10 mins after the phone call. He was knowledgeable, honest and transparent with the pricing. The installation was actually done while we were out of town, but the work they had done was impeccable. Whoever the installer was, he or she had done a wonderful installation job, kept the place spotless, and left very detailed instruction for operation. What really surprised us was a small but thoughtful gift to thank us for business - where do you still find this kind of charming way of doing business and attention to details.
