We were in the market for shutters for our newly installed windows. We visited several outlets for the composite shutters and learned that we liked the products available from Norman brand. When we called Kelly from Advanced Window Blinds, she offered to come to our home and provide a complete estimate. We chose the shutters, color, and style we wanted and she measured each of the six windows. The estimate we received from Kelly (owner of the business) offered a $1400 savings over other estimates we had received for the same product. When she said the shutters would arrive in approximately 4 weeks, I was pleasantly surprised. Other companies required 8 weeks for the exact same order. When the shutters arrived, as promised, 4 weeks later, Kelly called to schedule our installation. She arrived on time, set up and did the entire installation in one day (9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). I was amazed! This gal has skills!! Not only was the installation very professional, but she took extra time to caulk joints and clean each slat in every blind. She required very little furniture moving and even helped with that. Overall, this has been one of the best encounters with vendors and installers that we have ever had! read more

A woman owned and operated business! Kelly at Advanced Window Blinds knows her stuff! She said she's been doing this for 20+ years, and we were impressed. I asked for quotes on Yelp and she was the most persistent with follow-up and she made it very easy. We set an appointment, and to be honest, we haven't had the best luck with contractors showing up at all, let alone ON TIME! She texted to confirm, and apparently she even showed up a day early that's how eager she was ;-) She brought in samples, and took her time, and she was super friendly, and made everyone feel at ease. She's just one of those people who you instinctively like. Another yelper mentioned her integrity, and I have to agree. She really cares about the customer and it shows in everything she does. She measured, gave a quote, and an estimated delivery/installation time. We actually didn't even get another quote, we were THAT impressed with her. It took about 2-3 weeks for the shades to come in and she showed up, and she hangs them all herself. She was finished with a 2200 sf house, with a ton of windows by 2pm.
