People are very nice, but they aren't good at doing nails. My friend's toes were done fairly sloppy. My pedicure (regular polish) has bubbles in it. My gel manicure is splotchy and there's polish all over my fingers. Even if the polish was done well, the Mani/pedi are nothing special. The pedicure foot/leg massage was no more than 2 minutes, and the manicure massage was 30 seconds. Definitely not worth the $63. read more

Great experience at this salon. Traveling in the area from Boston. I jammed by hand and tore off part of my nail. My nails are natural but the salon was able to repair the jagged, broken nail with a bit of acrylic while given me a traditional manicure on the rest of my nails with Opi polish. First, they were very cautious with the damaged nail. Second, I never felt rushed just the opposite. They really took the time to insure the polish was applied properly, and completely dry before applying the top coat. The price was very reasonable. I arrived at DK nails and was warmly welcomed. I was quickly taken back after selecting my nail color. DK offers SNS, shellac and acrylics. They have lots of options when it comes to choosing your pedicure. I just got the basic spa pedi. It was very relaxing. I received a manicure switching from the SNS to shellac. My nail tech was Sitha. She was very pleasant and helpful. My nail was thin so she suggested to dip in the SNS to give my nail more strength and then proceeded with the shellac. I am very pleased with the service I received and my nails look great!!! I suggest if you are in the area to stop by and treat yourself. Ask for Sitha, she is a true gem!!! read more

This was my first time going here and I was not impressed. The lady that was doing my nails was rushing through it so fast. I got a full set with French tips and this was the thickest acrylic application my nails are currently sore. I asked for a French tip and they just painted the entire top part of my finger nail. After the drilling she didnt clean my nails properly so all the dust stayed under my nails when she applied the gel. I will not be coming here again my nails are bubbly and textured and you can see all the bubbles from the dust. I still paid in full and tipped 15% but I do not recommend going here read more

I came in for a gel pedicure, as it is now sandal season (WOO!) I needed something more than a regular pedi so that my nails would last longer. I stopped in here rather than my regular salon because they are not open on Mondays, and it was close to work. I was seen rather quickly, granted it was Memorial Day, so I was surprised they even were open. I have to work literally every single holiday, so I felt their pain. The salon was very clean, and I liked how they did a hot stone massage and used hot towels. This is hard to come by sometimes. My only complaint was that the pedicurist, who was very nice, hurt me apparently not realizing that I had ingrown toenails. After that I gave up having her mess with them. I save that battle for my regular salon who doesn't seem to ever really hurt me-it's hard not to do. Hopeful my gels will last- thank you! read more

This place is so amazing. Tida did these amazing acrylics with a gel monochrome polish on me, and they turned out stunning. The staff here are friendly and they wouldn't stop commenting on how adorable my little sister was. Their tools were clean and looked new, they have shades on their windows to prevent light getting to the gel, and overall the staff and people were kind and careful with nails. I am looking forward to coming in a couple of weeks to get fills! They were so informative on my first time getting acrylics that this is the only place I'll be coming to now. read more

Recent pedicure experience So I recently had a pedicure & I'm two hours away from this place but however I've been going there for quite a while and they usually do a great job. Tip : Don't let the long-haired guy do your pedicures, if you're like me when I go for a pedicure I don't want to have a long drawn out conversations I want to relax and enjoy the service but he pressured asking questions so the whole conversation thing not me really. However that is not what really bothered me the most its was the fact since I was in conversation I didn't pay attention to the details if what he was doing. When I got home I realized my feet were rough on the bottoms and the cuticles were not trimmed and cleaned and wait I didn't even get a massage however I paid $56 something dollars , Now it was packed inside the place when I went in and I was leaving and I questioned why it was $56 something dollars but I brought my own nail polish and I didn't do a shellac. Apparently you get a charge for bringing your own nail polish!! However when I questioned the cost they told me it was because I had an add on ( There are the small little package is next to the Register can you get ready to pay they are a add on to a pedi , Which you soak your feet into and they add it to the water which makes the water very jelly like this was the first time I did this, so when I asked how much they were because I may want to buy one to take home they told me they didn't know the cost and they would have to ask the owner but the owner is not here right now So how in the hell are you charging me for something you don't know the price on ?? Anyways I let it go I didn't wanna argue in front of all the people and paid. But the fact is I had to go buy a foot pumice and do them myself ( My feet are not in terrible shape normally) so I should not have left there with that type of service.Normally I would not call a business and complain but this was a pretty bad job and I paid a lot of money for it, and I drove two hours for this appointment shame on me for not paying attention. The other calls me back and tells me Not to worry the next pedicure service is on them. I told her I don't feel that I would be planning to come back but however he said don't feel that way we've got you covered etc. etc. etc. instead of giving me back a refund for a lousy job I settled for that, and I was looking forward to this recent pedicure, I tried calling ahead but however I was driving and there phone was busy Both times I called. When I arrive apparently he is shorthanded, nevertheless I've already drove two hours and I'm not leaving so I will wait patiently as other customers decided to leave and not wait. One girl was quite crabby about it she said so I assume you're not gonna be able to get to me and left. After about 30-40 minutes of wait time I'm finally in a chair getting a drawn foot bath I let the lady know I want to have a manicure as well..Again they're shorthanded so all of a sudden the long-haired guy who did the terrible job before comes over, I said no thank you I will wait longer for a lady to service me. The owner is right there and I told him quietly that was the service that I had previously he was who serviced me. About 25 minutes in the chair with my feet in the water with the bubbles going the lady who finished a nail job comes over to do my pedicure. This is a very long story so I'll make it quick it was an excellent pedicure it was a service I should've received from the beginning. It was absolutely amazing So amazing I gave her a $20 tip because she was amazing... She also did my manicure and it was amazing and very thorough. However I will not be back !!!! As I was checking out and it was the last customer in there I was charged by the owner he charge me $56...I could not believe what he said we will cover the $24 regular pedicure cost and I said well I paid 50 something dollars for the last pedicure I thought you were taking care of this for me I should have not had to pay $56 I have no problem paying for my manicure because it was an add-on, however for the inconvenience and a long drive to come back and give this place another shot and I was promised a free manicure I might as well have just got my refund of $56 when I was on the phone with him instead of coming back wasting my $15 in gas what a bunch of crap They are expensive and if you get the right nail technician you will be OK but the service is very inconsistent and the owner does not keep his promises and changes things at the last moment Again I did not argue the fact of what he was doing because he is the owner But afterwards I put thought into my mind that I will not be returning that I should not have had to pay for any part of that pedicure it should've been on them as a courtesy as I was told over the phone originally so for this I will not be returning. So, I recently moved to the area and have tried several different nail salons in and around Portland. In fact, I tried Apsara Nails after reading their reviews. I wasn't impressed. Yesterday (Halloween), I gave Beauty Nails Care a try, again after reading their awesome reviews as well. I was pretty disappointed, so much so that I decided to try DK Nails a try TODAY despite them not having any reviews on Yelp (shocking)! I walked in and the staff was extremely pleasant. Dina removed my disgusting "design" which appeared to be done by a 10-year-old and she uncovered various issues with the application (i.e. the acrylic overlays did not cover my entire nail on most nails, the nail technician at Beauty Nails also overlooked cleaning under my nails, and so on). She and Satia (hope I spelled that right) created a beautiful Minnie Mouse design on my nails, leaving me one extremely satisfied customer. I think I can stop my search for the perfect nail salon and recommend this spot to everyone! They are seriously that awesome! read more

I decided to give this place a try when I found myself needing a fill before heading out of town for the weekend AND my regular nail tech was unavailable. I am very picky about my nails (read: mildly obsessed and expect near perfection because of my normal nail tech) and while I wasn't disappointed with DK Nails, I wasn't blown away either. It's your average, Asian owned nail salon. I walked in on a Thursday afternoon, around 4pm, without an appointment and was able to be seen immediately. There were three nail techs working that afternoon, and they probably could have used more, since by the time I was halfway done the other two were both working on clients and the average wait time being quoted to walk-ins was upward of 30 minutes. My tech did a good job on my fill and keeping the shape of my almond nails in tact. There was very little pressure for any upgrades/other services, which I appreciate, as I always know what I want going in. The salon itself was cute; bright and clean and the selection of polish was okay, it could have been better though. The employees were all very friendly, as was the young daughter of the technician who was working on me. The girl did interrupt her mother a couple times to ask when she would be done with my nails, which was a little off putting, but not the end of the world. My nails (fill and polish) came out okay... I wasn't disappointed but wasn't overly impressed either. For me DK Nails was good in a pinch, but I probably won't return. read more

The pedicures are awesome and my nails always come and great. Most importantly, they last like they are suppose to! They did my gel mani and spa pedi at the same time as I only had 90minutes and did a great job on both. I got my nails filled and while chipping pieces of the old nail away the technician accidentally broke my nail to the point where she had to fully remove the nail and replace it. I was charged extra for her mistake. Wasn't thrilled. My shellac polish has bubbles and the coat isn't smooth or even. Maybe I went on an off day. Wasn't as relaxing as my first visit. Not satisfied with the results of my nails they definitely weren't worth 50$ . Won't be back. Great experience! My feet feel amazing after getting a pedi here for the first time. Super friendly staff, clean environment. I chose a color that I wanted and the girl who did my pedicure helped me match it almost perfectly in a gel polish. A nail got damaged during the process and she didn't quit until it was fixed and perfect. The water was perfect, the regular massage felt great and to top it off a hot stone massage on my feet and legs, like whaaaat?! I've never seen another nail salon do that before. In my never ending search for a nail tech who is current with trends but also understands individual preferences, I'm so happy I found Lina at DK Nails! I made an appointment based on a recommendation by a friend who is equally as particular about her nails. I've been getting acrylic fills and shellac polish for more than three years and have been mostly satisfied between 2 local places. I've always wanted picture perfect polish that you see in stock photos with an immaculately clean edge. I thought I was being a bit unrealistic, until now. Lina was gentle yet thorough in her fill technique (I've never had a fill where I wasn't nicked with a tool that took days to heal-until now!). I was so relaxed because I could tell she was in complete control of her equipment-never looking up carrying on a conversation across the room while wielding those electric file bits! The entire visit was under one hour and finished with a delightfully clean-scented hand lotion and massage. DK Nails is 48 minutes from my house. The price was $5 more than what I had been paying, and worth so much more. I'll bypass several other nail salons (including the two I used to frequent) and only see Lina from now on! read more

Genuinely the worst place. I wanted to come here because it had good ratings and it was bad. First off very unprofessional. My boyfriend was cut on his foot and wasn't given a bandaid. They put hot wax over. Secondly I was over charged. 181$ for 2 pedicure and 1 acrylic. I usually do my nails myself and went out to see what other people had to offer. Clearly not much. It was very clean. I'll give them that, but the fact he was cut and then I was charged 25$ more than what I should of been is wrong. I even added a 20$ tip at the end. When I asked about the over charge I was given a very vague description on a calculator. I paid and tipped because I didn't want to cause a scene but I'll never come back. The only good thing was how clean it was but besides that I just wasted 200$ definitely don't recommend unless you want to be charged. Hopefully his cut doesn't get infected. Went with a friend for mani/pedi's. We were chatting so I didn't pay a lot of attention while having pedi. During mani the gentlemen doing my nails jumped and painted the entire side of my finger. He quickly apologized and stated he had fallen asleep! I didn't make an issue out of it. When my friend and I left I realized he hadn't touched the bottom of my feet. I felt uncomfortable complaining but my friend insisted. I went back in and requested a refund just for the pedi portion. They gave me a terribly hard time. At this point I was quite irritated and said it wouldn't have been as bad but he also fell asleep during my mani. The manager laughed at the fact that he fell asleep.
