I won't detail everything that happened on this project--these are the highlights: * Subcontractor's day laborer found crying in the mail room * Same day laborer followed my neighbor to the manager's office and had to be removed from the property * Same subcontractor was fired, leaving my apt a mess * Next subcontractor walked off the job over a payment dispute with James * James stated he would finish the job ... but not for another 6- 8 weeks because he had other jobs he was prioritizing I paid him $4000 and all I got was a bigger mess than when I had started, including damage to the window treatments, damage to the flooring and damage to my furniture. He always had a story and an excuse but ultimately chose not to take responsibility for how things were left -- see text messages below. This guy is either a con artist or a horribly disorganized and overextended business owner ... either way, be very careful before entering into any agreement with him.

Qualities of a good paint job were discussed verbally with contractor before job began and contractor verbally agreed but then ignored. Paint is peeling off of windows, doors, and baseboards. Improper taping damaged floors. Cabinet doors rehung crooked. Now need to redo much of the project and repair the other damage done. Received a past due notice for final payment days before the job was completed. Contractor kept saying it would be the last day of work when job was far from finished. My experience was very similar to the other one star Yelp post.

Thank you Romeo. I am a repeat customer of this company and have had good experiences in the past. However, this most recent quoting and appointment keeping experience was poor. Not only was my job delayed by Kaminski twice, they raised the price by double from the initial written quote. Even after I originally sent photos, gave dimensions and stated multiple times that the job likely would require a scaffold (I even had the AI agent confirm the need for a scaffold), I received a phone call one hour before the second revised appointment they gave me (they cancelled the first appointment hours before) stating that they couldn't do the job for the amount quoted. There were multiple conversations, rescheduled appointments again and they did bring the price down- albeit higher than the original quote. When the job was done, they did not honor the revised quote and charged $95 more than what was agreed and given to me in writing. Exhausted by being beat up by their process, I paid the bill. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this company not because of poor work quality but because I can no longer trust their process.

His insight was important and I believe that if I did this job myself I would have struggled and would have ended up with an inferior final result.

I've hired them for multiple projects over the last year, and the quality of work is always top notch. I hired them to help install all new interior doors in my house, but I wanted to purchase the doors myself. Greg, the owner, went above and beyond in explaining what I needed to order, providing recommendations on where to buy the doors, and answering all my questions. He didn't need to do that, but it speaks to the type of person and professional that he is. I also can't say enough good things about one of the techs - Jimmy. Always shows up on time, is friendly to interact with, and really cares about the work he does. From consultation till the last day or work, he showed up to work as scheduled. When painting my interior he was very considerate and wore a mask in 85 degree heat. I even offered to play music while his team worked and out of respect to the neighboring units in my complex, they declined. Also, Edgar was very mindful of our complex security. He made sure the our complex gate was always closed behind him. His work is neat and clean. He carefully prepped and covered all areas and made sure all furniture was protected. At the end of each work day, he made sure to leave the work space clean, swept, and organized. The project was completed ON TIME and left my home sparkling. I know most of what I'm mentioning seems like common sense but, unfortunately I've had my share of working with contractors and handymen that fail to practice at such a high level of quality, respect, thoughtfulness and professionalism that Esgar and his team does. I could be a stingy A-Hole and not share this handyman treasure but, I want to see this hardworking family man succeed. So please support this business, you won't regret it.
