As a person that always dreaded going to the dentist, I can whole heartedly say that my traumatic experiences from my past dental visits has been overcasted by Dr. Kim and his amazing staffs. I was in need of a root canal and Dr. Vasa from Peppertree dental referred me to Dr. Kim (who is literally down the street). I have never been so satisfied with the outcome of my procedure that I am now telling everyone I know to get a referral to Dr. Kim if they ever need a reliable endodontist. Dr. Kim knows patients are anxious, so after he listened to all my concerns he told me how I am under their care now, and just hearing that gave me a wave of assurance. During my procedure he was VERY generous with numbing me. I told him that I never felt this numb in my life, he laughed and said "he's not cheap". I kid you not, I almost fell asleep. I didn't feel any sharp pain, and I gotta say, the Hawaiian radio he has for BGM was a good touch. Dr. Kim is very attentive, understanding, and kind. His team is also a reflection of his leadership. Safe to say he has my fiancé's ultimate stamp of approval. As a person that works in healthcare, I am satisfied with their work efficiency and appreciate their follow up calls the next day to make sure I was doing okay. I never expected to write a glowing review for an endodontist, but I truly appreciate Dr. Kim's level of care and professionalism. I went in for a root canal retreatment. He and his assistant made me comfortable, the treatment was fast, and I felt no pain (other than a mild pinch from the anesthesia). I had to see Dr. David Kim, at DK Endodontics in Cypress due to needing two root canals. I have to say he is the best endodontist I've ever been to. I felt not one bit of pain! Very friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Kim super upbeat and thorough. They do their best to get you in asap. Prices are quite high if you do not have insurance, but they try to offer a small discount for cash clients. It depends on the work needed, of course. For example, in our case, one root canal, from the initial deposit to the final cost, it was $1500 ($1400 if you pay by check or cash). This is my second root canal done by Dr. Kim and honestly, as someone whose had other root canals in the past... he's someone that I'd recommend anyone to go to. It was painless and quick - I remember my first ever root canal a long time ago in a different place and how long it took and the pain I felt but it's a night and day difference here. Office is clean and I feel comfortable knowing they are using the proper level of care. During the procedure, Dr. Kim kept asking if I was doing good and would continuously check in on me which I appreciate. I also love his front office staff - so friendly and nice. My general dentist sent me to Dr Kim for a root canal. My first ever. Anyone that I mentioned it to, gave a very sorrowful look and left me with the impression that I was in for a rough time. Dr. Kim told me at the review it would take between 1 to 2 hours. I was visioning terror & horror. Let me assure you it was anything but! The young ladies at the reception were brilliant, the 2 associates that I met were fabulous and Dr. Kim was exceptional. He explained everything pre, happening & post procedural and that really helped. On the day of the procedure from the moment I walked into the office to me leaving, I felt like I was the only one they had to look after. By the way, I wasn't! Despite having to drill into my crown and complete the procedure I can honestly say I felt nothing. In fact, only for Dr. Kim having to reposition my head from time to time, I could have had a nap during his work. I don't know about those that offered their wisdom on a root canal to me, they obviously didn't have Dr. Kim and his team. I was asked at least 8 or 10 times before I left the office, was I ok and I got a phone call the next day to make sure there were no complications and that I felt ok. Now that's what I call premium care. I visited my general dentist 3 days later to have my crown filled in, had an X-ray and they commented on what great job my root canal looked. I trust the word of the experts. If it were possible I would give Dr. Kim and ALL his team 100 stars. They made my experience one to remember for all the right reasons.
