Ruth was also so kind and reassuring, which really helped calm my nerves. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience, especially for something I was so nervous about. His friendly and easygoing manner should put those who are dentist-averse at ease. He feels like he's your best friend's uncle who happens to do dentistry :) He is also great about providing specific practical advice. For example, on my last visit, he pointed out an area I needed to pay more attention to when I brush. He pointed out that I had a lot of tartar there as opposed to other areas. He is not part of the new upsell-heavy boutique dentistry trend. There are no ipods and no fancy swiveling computer screens with your menu of options. But I suspect he's probably paid off his loans on most of his equipment, so you're not paying for ipods and fancy computer screens either. I think his prices are very reasonable. He's busy, but you can usually get an appointment within a week, and often faster for an emergency or painful situation. My fiance and I are both happy, multi-year patients. Recommended!

I waited 3 months to post this and only after going there twice and then going to another dentist just today. First there are only 4 reviews for this dentist to date and they have a 4 star rating (which I why I went there). Everyone mostly noted how nice Dr. Williams is (I agree) and they also noted that the office is homey, comfortable and no upselling ( I also agree). Suffice it to say, that's a good start but where they go from there is what really counts. So here's my spin and what has led me to defect to another dentist after my last visit 2-3 months ago: Office - Very old fashioned, homey, low-key "mom & pop" type establishment Staff - Nice Equipment - nothing high tech or modern here (and that would be no problemo if things were still getting taking care of appropriately) 1st Visit - I went in for 6 month check up (x-rays and cleaning) Cleaning was done by the dentist in a manner which I have not had done in years (with just the cleaning compound and a sonic type bristley thing) - no deep cleaning done here. My teeth did not feel as clean as they usually do after a typical 6-month visit cleaning. Dissapointed but hopeful yet still! Yelp Referral - when he asked me how i found him; I mentioned Yelp and he did not seem too impressed (as a matter of fact he said that with sites like these all it takes is 1 person to dislike your services and you are then blacklisted) not his exact words but the general feeling conveyed. I guess I shoulda known then....... 2nd Visit - approx 2 months ago- I keep having some remote pain in the back upper part of my month. Nothing extreme but a little discomfort on a regular basis....my gums in the area were sore too... X-rays, some looking, some prodding and it was nothing to be seen. There was some talk about allergies being the problem and that was that. I was pretty much on board with that theory but just could not shake the fact that something felt off and so I contacted my insurer and switched to another dentist in Long Beach. Forward 2 months and I am still having the issue and have been thinking all along that it is an allergy issue as your sinus cavity is pretty close to your teeth in some areas or so I was told. So I went to the new dentist today and was told that I need a root canal in that upper right area. I can not help but wonder if this had been taken care of 2 months ago - would I be in this situation? I have never had a root canal so I am a bit dismayed by all of this. This could be isolated and I could be over-sensitive but at the end of the day it's an honest account and honest feedback based upon what I experienced and that's why YELP is more important than not. People are too smart not to understand the law of averages; bias; and isolated incidents. It takes too much time to formulate thoughts, write them down, be as credible, real and respectful as possible for anyone to want to blatantly discredit any business. I think you get my gist.

I was in need of a root canal and Dr. Vasa from Peppertree dental referred me to Dr. Kim (who is literally down the street). I have never been so satisfied with the outcome of my procedure that I am now telling everyone I know to get a referral to Dr. Kim if they ever need a reliable endodontist. Dr. Kim knows patients are anxious, so after he listened to all my concerns he told me how I am under their care now, and just hearing that gave me a wave of assurance. During my procedure he was VERY generous with numbing me. I told him that I never felt this numb in my life, he laughed and said "he's not cheap". I kid you not, I almost fell asleep. I didn't feel any sharp pain, and I gotta say, the Hawaiian radio he has for BGM was a good touch. Dr. Kim is very attentive, understanding, and kind. His team is also a reflection of his leadership. Safe to say he has my fiancé's ultimate stamp of approval. As a person that works in healthcare, I am satisfied with their work efficiency and appreciate their follow up calls the next day to make sure I was doing okay. Hopefully I won't have to go back, but in the case I do need another procedure I know where to go.

ZERO PAIN! ZERO DOWN TIME! Dr. LEE is WONDERFUL! The last molar on the upper left side of my…read moremouth was broken. I needed to have it pulled and I put it off, off, off. I knew that I needed to do it but I was scared. The last time I had teeth pulled was when I had my wisdom teeth removed and that was not fun. I finally had my consultation with Dr. Lee and he discussed my options and was helpful, informative and reassuring. The day arrived and I was first in at 8:00 am. I always thought I'd have to be "put under" to have teeth pulled (honestly, I wanted to but that's a pain too- that equals down time, no eating, etc) but NO! He had me inhale nitros oxide which numbs the mouth but I could still communicate with Dr. Lee. He was very calming and efficient. All I felt was a little pulling here and there but NO PAIN. Here's the magic: I was in my car, driving home at 8:31! WHAT? Yes! The numbing wore off, I had some gauze in my mouth for a few hours but by noon, I was back to normal. I took a Tylenol later in the day but that was the extent of my tooth extraction! If I had known how easy it was, I would have done it a lot sooner. That is the reason I'm writing this review. Dr. Lee and his people are helpful, efficient and informative. They're kind and make the visit a breeze. If you need any dental surgery, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lee!

My insurance paid them out of network prices. They are using up most of my money for the year, have been told, and are not fixing it. My regualr dentist cant put my crown through because it. They owe me the difference in price on the co-pay. Everntualy thye did resubmit, but again with errors and the isnsurance company has no way to conenct the two to reclaim thier money or mine. I have asked for a number for corporate and was told no. Highly suggest avoiding this place regardless of how good the doctors are. Its not worht the headache.

Dr. Garrett used this thing called a "mouth pillow" which helps keep your mouth open while they work and wow, what a difference. Root canals are not something people have at the top of their fun list but Dr Garrett makes it comfortable and easy.
