DJ Vic was amazing! Thank you so much for making our engagement party so memorable and fun. Everyone was dancing the whole night and enjoying themselves. Initially we were being very particular about what music we wanted to be played at our party but of course guests always request music that they want to hear as well. So luckily he had all types of music on him and was good at figuring out what to play and what not to play based on the music list we gave him before. He really does have an uncanny ability to get a crowd going. He speaks very clearly and MCs very well! I've been to so many parties where you can't understand the DJ because they aren't speaking clearly or you can just tell they don't care to be there...that is NOT the case with DJ Vic. You, your party and its guests are his main priority when he is DJing. He is very professional and has a lot to offer. We got a great price with great lighting. He also helped me get a great deal on photography as well. While he was setting up someone who worked at the venue dropped something on one of his lights and broke it. He was very nice to the guy who broke it and thought he was in a lot of trouble and told the guy to relax, didn't get mad, and went to get another light. DJ Vic was far and away one of the best things about my wedding. We had our wedding on October of 2015. Dj Vic was incredible, simply put. To quickly detail the main things that he accomplished: 1) He was personable, incredibly professional, and a calming influence during the hectic time of wedding planning and actual wedding day events. 2) His recommendations and expertise in music is evident and translates effortlessly to a wildly successful dance session for any event. 3) The man knows how to hype a crowd! We had a sizable amount of people of around 300 ranging all over in ages, and DJ engaged every person as an MC. When the crowd didn't dance, he encouraged them to dance. When they didn't cheer loud enough, he made sure he got the reaction we wanted. 4) He can acclimate to any style. Indian-Christian wedding? No problem. He played current pop, hip hop, and R&B hits, Old school hip hop, pop, Caribbean Hits, and wonderful Hindi Music that got everyone on their feet and dancing. This review is LOOOOOOOOOONG over due. Dj Vic hosted my wedding reception. I have to say he is one of the best DJ's out there. First and far most he worked with my wife and I to make sure our playlist and genre of music was organized. Anything we wanted extra he accommodated us. His kindness and helpful suggestion made it a great event. I had multiple guest at my reception and sangeet ask me about his contact information after the event. To this day I still have people talking about my wedding and the great music that was played. Madan Madi was the Dholi at my wedding (do I have to say more) If you are in the NY area and you do not know Madan Madi you have no clue what a dholi is. Dj Vic only suggested the best for my event. I have gone to many other events where DJ Vic was djing and he always has had the crowd moving. He's a good MC, great mixer and best of it a great people person. With my suggestion he has also Djed both of my sister in laws Sangeets and has done a amazing job. He goes out of the way to accommodate your event is perfect. I'm not the type to write a review, but I feel that I should after my experience with DJ Vic. I should start by saying that initially before meeting him, I imagined him as someone who is much older, dull and might not be compatible. God was I wrong! Our first meeting, he was extremely cordial and down to earth. He was very humble in his response and helped us organize the songs which would be used in the day of. My wife and I both left with confidence that we are in good hands. The day of, Vic came and just rocked the event. His choice of songs along with his MC skills were outstanding. The music was a fusion of punjabi/bengali/american pop - all geared towards the crowed. Boy did everyone feel the music. I should add most Aunties and Uncles felt the groove to the end where they too joined the dance floor. To that end, both my wife and I are satisfied that we went with DJ Vic! Dj Vic hosted my mendhi and wedding reception this past August. The first time we met him, we automatically knew he was the only Dj we could trust to make our events memorable. He worked with us to make our time line flawless, but we all know functions never go smooth. He made sure the music was appropriate and filled in these few windows so our guests didn't notice! He MC'ed our introductions perfectly and with etiquette. He played the right music all night long. The dance floor was packed for both events. One Of the worst DJ ever!!!!!!!!! This DJ was a total garbage :) :) I had my wedding reception at The Sterling (Bethpage) Before my wedding reception, I informed this fucking DJ what type of songs to be played. This DJ ensured me that he knows his skills and talent. DJ Vic also booked a live dholi. At my wedding reception this stupid DJ played some stupid songs which was not part of our Punjabi theme. The dholi was totally **Out Of Sync** in-mix with the DJ. DJ Vic was a total let-down. I was extremely disappointed. I will NEVER NEVER book DJ Vic in my life. Living in NY for so many areas, I have been to many weddings & I have been to a lot more parties. There are not many good desi djs out there but Dj vic is the exception he has a charismatic personality who can turn up the crowd within seconds. He plays a good mix of Indian and American songs depending on your needs. A lot of desi djs have thick accents which doesn't go well if you want them to make announcements. Finding a wedding DJ isn't easy. You have to blindly hire someone to handle many crucial points of your important event...needless to say, DJ Vic is as good as it gets.
