Let me start by saying that Marx Entertainment provided both DJ services and Photo Booth services…read morefor our wedding. We were very unhappy with the DJ but happy with the Photo Booth set up and staff. My husband and I had DJ Craig for our wedding in September 2023. We had two meetings with him beforehand were we discussed how we would like the night to run. In addition to a list of "must-play" songs (something we were encouraged to complete), we discussed how we would like our table-dash, anniversary dance, alumni photo, and private dance to operate. We also noted on multiple occasions during both calls that we DID NOT want a lot of remixes. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with how DJ Craig managed all of these aspects except for the table dash and private dance. Here is where our issues lie: - Out of our 30 or so must play songs maybe half were played. - As laid out on the Marx Entertainment website we chose a "last song" for the dance floor. DJ Craig played the song we designated as our last song as a way to open the dance floor. - The first 30 minutes were exclusively remixes and bad ones at that. It got to the point where we said something to DJ Craig, and while the music did get better, he still continued to play remixes. Honestly, a Spotify playlist would have been better. - The anniversary dance was something DJ Craig suggested and we loved the idea. However, instead of doing what he had described to us where he starts calling people off the dance floor after some dancing and starting with short time increments, DJ Craig called for anyone married for less than 5 years to leave the dance floor after approximately 20 seconds. People hadn't even REACHED the dance floor to start dancing at that point, including the parents of the groom. Not to mention we are a young couple and that kicked more than half of the people off the dance floor in one sweep. - College alumni photo was announced at a very weird time and very rushed. Just felt awkward - We were immediately asked once the lights turned on to provide a positive video review for DJ Craig. This was extremely uncomfortable and we gave dishonest feedback during it. We would NOT recommend him. Like I said previously, the Photo Booth staff was excellent and we loved the book they made us. We also had no issues with booking or prior communication with Marx. While the set up and logistical execution of the event went well we didn't feel our opinions were considered at all in song selection and that the fun mini-events we had throughout the night went poorly

Our DJ, Manu, went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a successful event. He was in touch with us via phone and text a few days prior to finalize details, he arrived several (4-5!) hours early to make sure everything was set up correctly and sounding great, and once things got started I don't think he took even a 5 minute break! The music was great, he was a welcoming and enthusiastic MC, and I can't think of a single complaint. He even thanked US at the end for such a fun and warm event. We were so happy. We would hire them again in a second!

He spent time with the bride and groom understanding the type of music they liked. He even researched the guests and asked for favorites! The DJ does so much more than just play music. He literally controls the flow of the event. He has special lighting and his sound was just great. We did a lot of research before selecting Tasteful Productions. Don is a music veteran, having been a musician himself for years. He even played a piano during the pre-event hour making for a delightful and tasteful touch. I think an important thing to note is that a DJ can be "too" controlling, but Don did enough without over-the-top control. In all my research, Tasteful Productions came up the most. Even the location recommended this service. My son and daughter-in-law still rave about the great night of music and dancing and how smooth everything went. They aren't the only ones...even our family and friends still talk about what a great DJ we had. We were very pleased.

At this point in time, you have been searching the internet far and wide I am sure to find the right services for your wedding entertainment, and keeping in line on a strict budget. I wish to tell you of my personal experience with Gabriel Fierro and his services at Milestone Entertainment of New England. Upon meeting with him, I knew firsthand that he was not some fly-by-night or on-the-side DJ but one who puts his sincerest passion and hard work into ensuring that everyone has the kind of entertainment experience that they have always dreamed of while working closely with us within our strict budget. Everything was thoroughly planned out from beginning to end, as we also employed his services as wedding officiant. The wedding packet shown to us was very detailed and gave us a plethora of options to choose from in addition to adding in our own ideas. We wanted a very unique wedding, and indeed, Mr.Fierro and his staff were extremely accommodating and helpful throughout this process. His prices were very reasonable and the quality of entertainment far surpassed my expectations! I have been to several weddings throughout my lifetime, and the most recent ones where I was a guest in attendance the bride and groom decided to hire someone who only did entertainment on the side, worked off of an iPod, and had no personality whatsoever. This was not the case when I worked with Mr.Fierro and company. He let us choose which music we preferred to have played and which music we did not want to have played, in addition to a perfectly run timeline of events that went off without a hitch that complemented our photographer extremely well. His and his emcee's personalities really reflected that of the kind of wedding we wished to have, because they took the time to get to know us one-on-one through several in-person meetings. They were punctual, formally-dressed, well synchronized to our venue, and all-around fantastic people to work with. My wedding guests told us that the entertainment we chose made our weddings one of the best they had ever attended, and I cannot help but believe this is because of how much Milestone went to understanding our needs! Before you settle on someone who you know that "does DJing on the side" and/or "is a friend of the family willing to do it for dirt cheap", please seriously consider having a free, no-obligation in-person consultation with the folks at Milestone. My husband and I were married a year ago and we still have people raving about how fantastic the whole event was!

Craig was great in the run up to the wedding - he answered our questions, helped us work on both a playlist and a ceremony script, and communicated with our coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly the day of. He let us have complete control over everything we wanted to do and say, respected the vibe we said we wanted, and of course most importantly sent in our marriage license as soon as he was able. We also got SO many compliments on his DJing from all our guests. He played the songs we asked for while also being able to read the room and know what songs would or wouldn't go over well.
