I am the event planner for my company and I used Celeste for our annual Holiday party for 2010. Bottom line is; she exceeded all expectations and now that I am on Yelp to give her a review, I see she's received several great reviews here already. After glancing thru them I can honestly say I agree 100% with everything already said. 2 things I can think to add: - we have a number of Indians who work in our silicon valley office and they requested for her to play some Bollywood tracks. Now, I'm not up on my Bollywood music, but they were really impressed with her selections and had a great time dancing. One of them even took her card in case he or any friends had any upcoming events requiring a DJ. She also mentioned to me she has done Indian weddings in the past. - Beautiful, hip and worldly girl, but no annoying DJ ego. Pretty rare combo. I'll use her again for sure. read more

DJ Celeste exceeded our expectations as our DJ for our wedding. She brought the highest standards of professionalism and positivity you could ever have as a DJ. Her questionnaire is very thorough, making us feel secure in knowing she will take care of everything. The best part? Her NEW subwoofers. Those BLASTED the floor and all of us were partying like no tomorrow. Many of our wedding guests were deaf and they had a GREAT TIME. My wife and I were very pleased with the music that was played. The only feedback we have is to make sure that your music playlist gets played because guests just love to have their songs played. She worked so well with us, the venue, and everyone at the wedding. We will DEFINITELY hire DJ Celeste again for a future event! Thank you, DJ Celeste! Truly appreciate it! read more

DJ Celeste was incredibly professional, always smiling, quick setting up, a great MC as well and gave us exactly what we asked for for our wedding a few years back at Stern Grove! Her questionnaire helped get her familiar with our needs and wants, song and artist choices and our personalities. From the ceremony audio and cocktail hour to the dinner, dance party and cake cutting, everything she did helped make it the best night of our lives! We didn't want our wedding to end! We received a surprise mariachi gift that was not planned, and DJ Celeste was so wonderful introducing them and going with the flow. We asked for a dance party and we got it! The floor was moving all night and we got to enjoy it all. She even sent us a digital dance mix afterwards from our evening, including her own Star Wars mash that she blasted when we cut cake (with a light saber)! What a wonderful surprise. Music is how my wife and I connect and I used to make her mixes. We like a lot of types of music, so transitioning from alt rock, 80s, 90s, motown, 2000s is hard to do and not sound awkward. DJ Celeste is talented, and our wedding audio and music came with ease. The weekend after, we realized she was playing at Outside Lands! We relived our newlywed excitement in the Heineken Tent dancing to her house sets. It felt so cool to know we had her for our wedding before we knew what a talented artist she was. She is worth following and tuning in on social media as well, especially during Covid and the inability to enjoy live music outside or at venues! I enjoy seeing her play multiple instruments and incorporating them into her compositions. She has even been creating 3D experiences during the Pandemic which I haven't seen yet, but can imagine them being cool. Check her out! And, it's so refreshing to see a female musicians. You will not be disappointed! read more

We hired DJ Celeste for our garden wedding in Sonoma in early May. She was incredible and made the day truly awesome and memorable for everyone. Unlike almost every other wedding DJ out there, Celeste truly understands music. We had wanted to do something different than the ordinary wedding. Our vision included electro-lounge, gypsy jazz, and house music. Every single DJ we spoke to gave us the same advice: stick with something more traditional. Pop music. 80's hits. The crowd won't dance to music they don't know. We begged to differ. We were on the verge of giving up when we discovered Celeste. Her background is in club music, and she instantly got what we were going for. We talked on the phone a couple times, and once in person, and from there she built up a set list that matched our vision. She never once suggested that the crowd wouldn't dance -- she believes in the power of a good beat. (Although she did have backup music on hand just in case.) And Celeste totally performed. She showed up early to the event, made sure the equipment was working, and delivered a fantastic 6 hour set that perfectly guided our crowd from lounge music to electro-swing to thumping modern house. Everyone had an amazing time. It was everything we could have hoped for. There were a few hiccups worth mentioning. The first is that Celeste can be tricky to communicate with: during our meeting, often seemed not to be listening, would interrupt or ignore us, or would start texting in the middle of the conversation. Seemed to be an attention span thing. Email communication was also kind of iffy; she didn't respond to some of the emails we sent, and we weren't sure if there was a reason why. On the day of the event, Celeste got into a shouting match with our venue owner -- probably fighting to keep the sound great, but some guests noticed. During our toasts, Celeste's wireless microphone failed and the toasts unfortunately could not be heard. She never got around to playing a song we'd requested for the end of the night, though that was really not a big deal. And one awkward thing, Celeste mentioned several times that she was expecting a tip, which we found uncomfortable as one customarily does not tip people who own their own business unless they go above and beyond. But I can't stress this enough:, Celeste did an AMAZING job with the music. To us, that matters so much more than all of the other little details. If you are looking for a DJ who truly knows music, can keep the crowd moving without resorting to songs that everyone has heard a million times, and/or can bring to life an eclectic/underground vision for your event, Celeste is your DJ!! Give her a call and listen to what she can do!! read more

For my October '09 wedding I hired DJ Celeste. We loved her! In addition to me being a recent bride, in my professional life I am also an event planner so I have worked with my fair share of vendors, good and bad, and she is definitely one of the good ones! She was very easy to get ahold of, super responsive, and fun to work with during the planning process. And the best part, she is reasonably priced! (None of the DJs I usually work with were available or appropriate for our wedding, so I found Celeste through Craigslist and hired her after a phone interview and reference check.) We were looking for a DJ with just the right amount of coolness to be able to read the party crowd but mixed with just enough dorkiness to be able to know when it was the right time to play a more cheesy song. Our wedding was in SF at a restaurant/art gallery with an outdoor space that turned into the dance party later. Celeste had every song we asked for (she asked for us to submit a list in advance, so that she could get it if she didn't have it) and she even happily accommodated my relatives when someone asked for "more music that we have heard of before" (in her defense at that time she was playing OUR requests and they were a little offbeat- but the dance floor was still full). She took just enough requests to keep the crowd happy but definitely followed her own good instincts as far as what was needed and at what time. And the dance floor was filled the whole night even though we are mostly a bunch of 30+ white people. In addition to our requests, she also was able to make some really good suggestions when I was looking for inspiration for songs to play at different parts in the wedding (special dances, etc) . I like music ranging widely from Michael Jackson to Mika to Lady GaGa to Willie Nelson to Ghostland Observatory to Dr Dre and my husband is more alternative/metal/hipster and we both loved the music. Overall, Celeste came early, rolled with the punches, and was very sweet and cool through the whole thing. She also provided a wireless mic for the officiant, which was great. We had a friend be our Emcee, but Celeste was great and willing to make announcements etc. and would do more if you needed that as well. Finally, Celeste has an LA phone number because she is either from there or most recently lived there. She still travels around quite a bit to DJ at events but my understanding is that she is based in SF now. read more

DJ Celeste played my son's Bar Mitzvah Dance Party on February 16, 2013 in Palo Alto, CA. She was simply magnificent! I would give her SIX stars if it were possible, and here are the reasons why: 1) Pre-party planning - I really demanded a lot of her time in the pre-party planning stage for the Bar Mitzvah Dance Party. I sent her numerous emails as well as phone calls on what I was trying to achieve and pull off with this party. DJ Celeste initiated Facetime video conversations with us to better understand our needs. She vetted all the songs that my son gave her for "inappropriate language" so we did not play music that would create embarrassing situations. I had a lot of questions and demands as I was trying to put together the perfect party for my son, and Celeste handled all of my requests. 2) Equipment - DJ Celeste's equipment was state of the art. Not only did she have an excellent board and sound system, but she gave us different options for our needs. She put together the right combination of speakers, bass, etc. to fit the room we had at Creekside Inn(entire 5th floor). Her lighting equipment was awesome, and we really had a stylish setup that technically fit the room perfectly. 3) DJ & MC skills - Celeste ran a fantastic party. There were 75 kids at my son's Bar Mitzvah Dance party! Not only did DJ Celeste keep the party moving, but she kept it under control. The cool thing about Celeste is that she could relate to the kids. I asked all my son's friends what they thought about the DJ, and both the boys and girls all said she was AWESOME! They were right up on her too... I gotta thank DJ Celeste for dealing with a group that was really right up in her "grill" making music requests. The party went for 4 hours straight, and I was just in awe of her endurance and patience with the kids. She kept them in control while still making sure everyone was smiling and having a fantastic time at the party. 4) THE MUSIC - DJ Celeste is truly an artist. She created mashups, dubstub, and spun music that was far beyond my musical understanding. It was a really cool set that was a musical journey for everyone there that night. But, I also gotta say she did work the "Hava Ngila" into the set so we could hoist my son up in a chair and dance him around to a classic Jewish musical tradition. She gave the crowd so much. It was a very relevant and interesting set that satisfied my son's music requests. She even found and played obscure Youtube sensations that are popular with my son's friends. Honestly, I was lucky that I found DJ Celeste, and I could book her for my son's Bar Mitzvah Dance Party. I know she is in demand so she can pick her clients. If you can get her then I strongly suggest that you book the date as soon as possible. DJ Celeste plays a variety of different venues and types of parties, but she totally "rocks" a Bar Mitzvah!! read more

DJ Celeste is worth every penny. She recently DJ'ed my wedding which was a smaller affair but full of spirited people. She was very easy to work with and really listed and adapted to our musical preferences. When she unknowingly played my good friends go to karoke song she provided him a microphone and even made a follow up duet possible. Other than marrying my husband her djing was my favorite part of the wedding. read more

Celeste was our DJ on April 24th and she was just amazing. From my first meeting with her in SF, she was professional and told me all about her background and style. We were looking for a non-typical wedding DJ that was not cheesy and did NOT play the chicken dance. My husband and I hired her for the big day which was in Mendocino. Not only was she there long before her scheduled time, she was in contact with my event coordinator and had everything under control. She went out of her way to set up the music on my ipod for the dinner music and then switched over to the equipment for the reception. She really saw what my guests were feeling and played music that was appropriate for them. She did a great job making announcements for all the dances too. Celeste did a great job and I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an event DJ!! read more

One week before our wedding we found out That our prior plan of plugging in our IPad wasn't going to work .... Even though we had a d.j. And all of the equipment..... We panicked and quickly found Celeste via Thumbtack. Wow! It was symbiotic beyond the point of hire. I was under water as the bride and left Tim to the music and it was completely perfection from that moment on. We are both pretty into music and had a definitive vibe that we wanted on this day. It only took a few ideas thrown out and she felt it and ran with it. How does this happen?? Who knows- but trust me- she is your beautiful woman to make it all work. She just felt it! read more

I hired Celeste to DJ my 40th birthday party which was a family affair with small children, family, and friends playing games and running around at my karate studio. Originally I had planned to have Celeste MC the games and the party but it did not appear to be where her strength lies. I am not sure if I did not provide enough direction but in any case it was not something she was able to pick up and make her own that evening, so I took over the emceeing. This was fine and I am comfortable in that role. However, I was really impressed by her music selections and music pairings during the games we played. I strongly recommend her music selection and her DJ abilities. The music was spot on all throughout the evening. If this is what you need for your event Celeste is able to provide that for you with expertise! I gave her a list of 80's artists I wanted to hear and she picked all the right songs to that went perfectly with the mood of the party. Her rates were extremely reasonable and she came with all the necessary equipment including lighting. Although I only turn 40 once, I will truly consider working with her again knowing that I either have to write out a script for what exactly I want her to say or emcee the event myself but I know that my music needs will be expertly taken care of by her. read more

Celeste is a rare combination of talent, professionalism, positive attitude, and a kick ass sound system that made our reception of about 70 people in their mid/young 30s and about 30 older people a blast. After listening to her sets online, her unique blend of modern dance and oldies mashups placed her at the top of our DJ list, and after speaking with he we knew we had to immediately hire her. She was patient, attentive, had some really good suggestions and raised questions we had never thought of. We ultimately placed our trust in her to make our party great and she really overdelivered. Absolutely hire this amazing woman, and if you give her the freedom to do her thing I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

We just worked with Celeste for our wedding on 9/25. I agree with many of the other reviews that the initial reason we decided to go with Celeste was because we were looking for anti-cheese. Celeste definitely delivered - she is totally down to earth, she has an amazing appreciation for music (she's a musician herself), but she is also totally into discovering new stuff and going with it when that was what we wanted. I would also reiterate that Celeste's professionalism made her a complete pleasure to work with. She was totally on top of things, scheduling a couple meetings to discuss the music and overall program. She also reached out to the venue and did a site visit on her own before the wedding, just to ensure that she knew how she was going to set up, etc. Of all the things we were stressed about on our wedding, the DJ was definitely not one of them, and that in itself is worth a ton. (By the way, I don't want to make it sound like she was totally all business and no fun. One of things I really appreciated was that Celeste clearly loves what she's doing - she told us over and over about how awesome her lights look and how excited she was about her new subwoofer - I loved that she was so into it in a totally genuine way.) When the night came, Celeste was totally smooth with the program. We had given her a pretty specific list of stuff to play, and she totally stuck to it, with only a couple of weird exceptions (Lady Marmalade?). Anyway, we all had a blast, and it was in large part due to Celeste. We will definitely hire her again, and I would recommend her without a doubt. read more

DJ Celeste was the DJ for my sister-in-law's wedding last weekend. She was amazing! She was so professional and did everything we asked for and more. She arrived on time with all of her equipment and set up everything within no time. The ceremony set-up was perfect and by the time we moved to the reception area, she was already set up without us even noticing. She worked well with me during the reception and was very flexible in terms of the program order and last minute details. We had to ask her to MC a little bit, announcing the next program, and she had such a soothing and professional voice when she talked. The music flowed naturally without any awkward pauses and all of the music that was requested was played without any hesitation or technical errors. I will definitely consider her again without a doubt for any future occasions and events. Thank you Celeste for making this day so special and perfect. read more

We hired DJ Celeste for our wedding in early June and we both agreed we went with the right choice. Celeste has a great vibe, great smile and she's young and cool and really knows music. You can tell she's not just DJing because it's her job, but because she loves doing it! She played off the song list we gave her and took smart liberties of her own to play what she felt was good for the guests. She reads the audience and plays what's appropriate. She also makes the whole wedding look good! (she looks good) Her sound equipment and lighting was all very professional stuff. She was flexible and provided music for our ceremony as well. Only thing would be, I wish she was more vocal in her announcements. Perhaps I should have given her the guidance but announcing the cake cutting was something I thought she'd do. Maybe interact with the guests more and announce she would take requests? I don't know...Just more vocal would have been nice. My partner and I have absolutely no regrets and I gave her a high recommendation to my cousin who is having a wedding in August. I hope she is available! read more

DJ Celeste played at our wedding reception last month, and we could not have been any happier with her performance! She was professional and responsive from the moment we came in contact, and was a true pleasure to work with. SHE TRULY KNOWS HER MUSIC and has impeccable taste. Our biggest fear when choosing a DJ was 'cheesiness', but with her extensive musical knowledge, experience, and fantastic library of songs, she really 'wowed' everyone - especially us. She took all of our crazy musical requests to heart, and literally played everything ranging from funk music and Brazillian jazz to classic country and top 40 songs. A perfect mix of everything to please all our guests. Needless to say, everyone had a blast dancing! Plus, she's great at reading the crowd - a talent that means everything! She knew exactly when the energy needed raising ... or mellowing. It was a perfect evening. My new hubby and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DJ Celeste for weddings and all events! read more

We hired DJ Celeste for a wedding celebration and she was absolutely AMAZING. She gets 5-stars for the obvious things (great music, great vibe and feeling out the crowd to get the mood and dance floor perfect). But what is even more significant is how professional she is. She is an artist with her music, but often artists are unorganized or have poor communication ability. She was great with communication and great with her follow-through before and during the event. Not only did she have a clear questionnaire for us to fill out, but she was always available by phone or email to go over any details. (she also does face-to-face meetings as well) She also did a full walk-though of the event space ahead of time to make sure that the party would go off without a glitch. And she has top-notch sound system! Thank you!!! I was very impressed with how great the music sounded at our party. That was significant, because it was a difficult set-up in an old house where you can't just set it all up next to the dance floor. She went above-and-beyond to make it a perfect evening. I highly recommend DJ Celeste for any event or party and really hope I'll be able to hire her again. Our party was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and I really believe that having great music makes a great party. She rocked it. read more

We hired DJ Celeste to work her magic at our wedding on August 20th. And boy was the magic worked. Celeste was of the utmost professionalism when it came to making sure our special day was perfect. She visited our venue multiple times to make sure everything was hunky-dory, she arrived three hours early to ensure she had ample time to set up, she was SPOT on with every musical cue we gave her (which were a LOT), and she played really fun, mood fitting music. To give an example of her character (and I am NOT RECOMMENDING anyone does this, but) we had accidentally thrown away the envelope with her payment in it, and she was very nice and trusting of us to pay her, though not a pushover either. Our event coordinator sifted through some bags and found everything and we dropped it off the following evening to a smiling Celeste who greeted my wife with an awesome CD of some music she's been working on. I do have to say, compared to other DJs we shopped, she was a little more expensive, but worth every last penny we paid her. Next DJ appropriate event we hold, she will definitely be there. Thanks again Celeste!!! Edit: as of 2:40pm on August 22, I have THREE Facebook messages complimenting the DJ at our wedding!!! How many other people get that??? read more

Celeste dj-ed our wedding this past summer and did a great job. She was very professional, listened to our requests, and put together a great play-list. She also took time to consider the "flow" of our cocktail style reception. Everyone was dancing and had a great time. She arrived several hours before our event and visited our venue prior to the big day. If you choose to work with her, you'll be in great hands. One less thing for you to worry about on your special day. read more

After months of searching we were very happy we chose to book DJ Celeste for our wedding. She was extremely professional throughout the planning process and the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. She really took our music requests to heart and we got so many compliments about the music choices during happy hour and after-dinner dancing. We would highly recommend DJ Celeste to anyone looking for a highly professional and personable DJ to make their wedding or event special. read more

From the very first element of correspondence I received from Celeste I knew she was going to be the choice for our corporate five year anniversary party. She was beyond professional through every step of the process, including making site visits, sample playlists, being flexible on-site through the set-up process, and adapting her music throughout the evening. Throughout the process she was gracious, flexible, responsible, considerate, professional (and of course it should be mentioned totally beautiful!). We presented Celeste with an incredibly challenging space to DJ, the Old Mint building in San Francisco. The space was challenging because the distribution of electrical is limited and there is absolutely no sound equipment. However, Celeste didn't even blink at the challenge. She showed up with more than enough equipment, an incredible attitude, and a focused efficiency. The space also called for an additional DJ because of the way sound equipment would be distributed. She knew we were on a tight budget so she made us an incredible deal to bring in her friend DJ Nota, a prominent Bay Area DJ, as well. She could not have chosen a more spot-on playlist for our event. Our event was split into two portions, a VIP celebration of our company's birthday and an open invitation to IT and SysAdmin types in celebration of SysAdmin Appreciation Day. Although two very different crowds, her transition was seamless. You can tell very quickly that although she clearly knows a considerable amount about sound and music, Celeste is not there to push any agenda and does not have any ego. She just wants to make a beautiful event for you :) To the stressed out, slightly OCD event planners of the world, I recommend Celeste because you will never, for one moment, worry about her exceeding well-beyond your expectations. read more

DJ Celeste was our wedding DJ, and she was awesome!!! Planning was a pleasure. She's very responsive and organized. She was totally accommodating to our very selective music tastes. And, her prices seamed reasonable considering the quality of the service. Her equipment is state of the art. She prepared our three wedding site rooms (ceremony, cocktail, reception) seamlessly. She came equipped with microphones, disco balls...anything we needed. The best part: she rocked the party. Our friends had an absolute blast dancing to her beats. When the dancing got a little slow, she surprised the crowd with a spectacular dance off! (I don't want to give the song away. If you're a cool kid from the 80's - ask for the dance off!) DJ Celeste is a total professional. She has a broad music pallet, technical expertise, and an overall cool DJ presence. We'd recommend her in a heartbeat! read more

My fiance and I are getting married. So the search for a DJ was on. After coming across a string of irresponsible, disinterested, incapable wedding DJ's, DJ Celeste was a welcome breath of fresh air. She was proactive, responsive and one of the most responsible DJ's we came across. Celeste was familiar with whatever music we threw at her, even old school Bollywood songs. She's definitely been one of the easiest vendors we've ever came across..which is a godsent in the wedding world. I would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a pain free DJ who's here to cater to what you want. Huge thumbs up. read more

DJ Celeste recently DJ'ed a large company holiday party that I was in charge of planning. I chose her initially because I liked her sample mixes and her attitude was the most professional and warm. With very little guidance on my end, she brought the perfect mix of music to warm the party up, keep it going and then wind it down at the end of the night. Look no further in your search for a DJ! Celeste was our DJ and MC for our recent wedding, and she was amazing at both!!! Celeste is incredibly professional and pleasant to work with, and highly experienced. She is incredible at her craft!!! She is also nice, warm, and an amazing artist. Once I booked Celeste for our wedding, she worked with our venue directly so I didn't have to do anything. On the day of, she got to the venue early to set up, and the whole event was flawless. She was the perfect MC, helping coordinate ahead of time with the people giving speeches and giving them tips on how to best talk into the mic. She incorporated our playlist while mixing in some amazing songs she chose and made the event the best party - all our guests were complimenting DJ Celeste and dancing up a storm! Her sound system is amazing, and she set up the most beautiful uplighting for the dance floor! She a huge part of making our wedding day the best party for our family and friends, and we couldn't be more grateful for having worked with her! read more

We hired DJ Celeste for our wedding 2 weeks ago. My husband was a music producer in a past life and has extreme opinions on the audio engineering side of things--he couldn't have been more impressed. The space was amplified beautifully. Everyone heard our ceremony and toasts. She worked wonders for the reception, getting great sound with a) no subwoofer, and b) terrible acoustics. She is an extreme professional--organized, available, clear (also totally fun). We asked for a dance party and that's exactly what we got. We're having a blast listening to a chunk of her set that she just sent us, and I'm sure we'll be playing it for many years to come. read more

Overall Celeste did a great job. She DJ'd our wedding on 5/31/11. I recommend her as a good wedding DJ. I won't tell how much we paid, but I felt she was a GREAT quality forwhat we paid. Pros: - you can tell she loves music - Celeste does weddings frequently - was on time and presentable, had her equipment setup and was ready to go - played many songs on our request list. We sent a long list of songs and a little over half were played I would guess. The songs she added in were sometimes in reaction to the crowd - i.e. saw a couple swing dancers and played music for them -was organized, sent us a form where we could write down names she was to announce - did a good job announcing moments, i.e. first dance, cake cutting. She was one of the only white people at a chinese wedding and was able to pronounce names correctly - our guests danced until the end of the wedding, guests loved her and had a lot of fun dancing - was able to accommodate special requests - i.e. a girl brought music for a song she wanted to sing and Celeste worked it in, we sent her an MP3 for music we choreographed a dance to and this was played correctly, we played some games and Celeste added a good soundtrack while we played. Wedding schedule was altered throughout the night and she was able to flow with it -she played music past her scheduled time Cons: - I was so busy on my wedding day I didn't notice all the music choices, but guests told me at least a couple songs were repeated - We asked her to incorporate a kareoke machine into the evening and there were problems with this all evening. To give her credit, it was not her machine and she is not highly experienced in this aspect. The kareoke machine was not easy to work with. - wish she would've played more older songs to keep the older crowd more interested read more

Celeste is as good as it gets - better, in fact! I agree with other reviewers who say they would give six stars if possible. My husband and I hired her for our June 15th wedding on Treasure Island. In addition to having a Facetime video meeting with us before the event to go over music selections, she reached out to the venue and did a tour so that she would have a good feeling for the space before the big day. On the day of the wedding she arrived 3 hours before the ceremony and set up sound equipment for both the reception and ceremony space. I felt very assured by her professional and friendly demeanor. In addition to great sound equipment, she did an outstanding job moving the night along with both announcements and great music. She is great at reading a crowd. Our dance floor was full from the moment it opened up and on until the last dance. Old and young were cutting a rug and having a blast. If you are looking for a wedding DJ, or a DJ for any event, I highly recommend Celeste! She is a real joy to work with. read more

DJ Celeste was amazing at our wedding. She had a great music selection for the dinner, but her true talent was for getting the party going. Despite pauses for the bouquet and garter tosses, she always managed to get the guests dancing again. Although we only had 1.5 hours of dancing, it really felt much longer as she flawlessly transitioned in and out of songs before they were done and varied styles of music frequently. We've gotten compliments from all ages of attendees, most notably our parents and the otherwise-sullen 11 year old nephew who couldn't stop dancing. DJ Celeste was also very professional in emceeing the event, with just the right amount of involvement. She kept the whole wedding on track. Highly recommend! read more

We recently had our wedding out in SF and hired DJ Celeste. Both the bride and I are very specific about the type of music we wanted to play and leading up to the wedding, I was a bit nervous regarding the selection. As it unfolded, I was put at ease completely. It was as though Celeste could read our minds and played the perfect music that fit the occasion. She was able to read the mood of the guests and play the right songs as well as getting them fired up to dance. The thing that impressed me most was our "intro" song. I told her what song we wanted to play with no other direction. I think we expected her to play it from the beginning and although the beginning of the song is awesome, she had it start towards the end, at a very specific part, which was truly surprising but awesome. It's not a well known song. She either listened to the song or already knew it well, but she played it at the most appropriate part for an Intro. I cannot recommend her enough. read more

Celeste played our wedding on 10/16/2011 at the Ritz Carlton, SF. From the first phone call to the day of the event she was ready to go with suggestions and ideas to make the night fun. There are so many good qualities about the service DJ Celeste provided, I don't even know where to begin. Let's start with her professionalism. DJ Celeste was always responsive to our needs. Whenever we had an appointment, she always showed up on time and extremely organized. On the day of the wedding, I had no concerns about whether the DJ would show up or not. She was there, on time, with her gear in tact, ready to rock. As an entertainer, energy level is important and she had plenty of this. She was always engaged and enthusiastic. Lastly, she's all class. The last thing we wanted was one of those cheesy DJ's who act like it's 1am at Centerfolds calling for Chastity to come down to the main stage. We made some suggestions on what kind of music we wanted, and she nailed it on the head. She created a great atmosphere during the dinner and took it up a notch when the dancing began. All in all, everyone had a great time. I recommend DJ Celeste with no reservations. read more

DJ Celeste is such a pro. She helped us orchestrate our wedding and made sure that everyone was raring to get up and DANCE. I never expected our choice of DJ would earn compliments from the guests, but everyone loved DJ Celeste's whole vibe and her musical taste. Don't be fooled by her laid-back demeanor -- she's locked down, dialed in, ready to party. read more

Celeste is about as good as it gets. I have worked with her professionally for over a year now and she has quickly risen to be one of my favorite DJ's. I have personally been in the event business for over 11 years and I have worked with many DJ's. What I like best about Celeste is her professionalism, attention to detail and ability to change and be flexible during an event and stick to client requests. She has the latest technology in sound and all the current and traditional favorites. I look forward to continuing to work with Celeste! read more

DJ Celeste was our DJ for our wedding in Marina del Rey on 7/5. We had a few meetings with her via Skype prior to the event. She gave us all the information we would need to decide to go with her or not. She told us about her equipment, the type of music she is into and asked us about what type of music we would like for the wedding. Her prices seemed reasonable and my now husband and I listened to her mixes on her website and really enjoyed them. Day of the wedding she set up for the ceremony area and reception area. I danced for majority of the night, as did all of our guests. They really had a blast with the music. She played a good mix of everything we asked for. If we have any future parties, we would for sure book DJ Celeste again. read more
