Holy Moly! After stalking, I mean following the FB page since they opened, we finally got to try it for ourselves. It did not disappoint! We ordered the Drunken Noodles and Salisbury Steak. Flavor Town meet Goodness in Abundance. The drunken noodles were full of flavor, plenty of beef and delectable pieces of veggies. The serving size was enough for 3 people. The Salisbury Steak was served over biscuits and mashed potatoes smothered in just the right amount of gravy. The savory concoction was topped with corn ribs. Just yum!!! The service is not quick as everything is made to order and there is one chef in the house. I almost don't want to tell you how much I like this place because inside seating is limited and they don't do takeout! From the outside the place doesn't look like much and the inside is very casual with about 10 bar seats and maybe a dozen seats that looks more like being in your living room. They do have a decent amount of outside benches for nicer weather. The stand out is the food and service. Server was nice and responsive....made dinner a pleasure. The food: First, you get above average portions for a fair price. The food menu is eclectic. We had the Brussels sprouts and Korean meatballs. Both were so very flavorful and the caliber was not what I was expecting from a place that looks like this. Major surprise. Then we shared a Mongolian beef over rice. Again, fantastic flavor. Went here for dinner. Got a Purple Rain and Green Apple to start the night. Wife ordered the Dizzy burger minus one patty, three would've been over the top for her. I got the crack burger. We both agreed the food was VERY salty to the point I got a headache afterwards. My blood pressure shot up super high. Quality of food itself was very good. Just over seasoned for us. We don't like much season on "our food" Portions are large. The average eater will definitely be taking a to go box. Price is fair for the amount of food you're getting. According to the server/bartender, this isn't a restaurant; it's a bar that happens to serve food. I mean, it's accurate. The only normal tables are out on the patio, so if it's cold, you're of out luck. You can sit at the bar top, unless you want to sit on a couch and eat off of a coffee table. We were so excited to try this place. On a weeknight, we waited over an hour for a burger. One. Burger. It was super good, but messy to the point of not wanting to eat anymore between it falling apart and us sitting on a couch. If you have the time, the food might be worth it. I do not understand the hype of this place at all. There are no tables. There is a bar and a couple couches, maybe a couple easy chairs, and a coffee table. People are hunched over the coffee table balancing food and drink sitting next to random strangers. It's not like the food is cheap either, so I don't get why someone wants to pay $$$$ for that environment. Even after that, I was willing to try it; however, my husband and I stood there a good 15 minutes and were ignored the entire time by the one person who was working on the floor. Food sits out at the kitchen window right next to where you stand to wait for seating. What's to stop someone from touching your food? Gross! Plus, the owner wants people to leave 1 star reviews. Go hungry and leave full is an understatement. One entree can feed a family of four. However, order your own entree so you can try many things and then have leftovers. My order was crabmeat rangoons and beef drunken noodles. Best rangoons to date in my opinion! The beef was plentiful and cooked to tender. My newfound friends asked me to join them for dinner and to try some of their order. Wow! Smoked turkey, buffalo chicken fries and Korean meatballs. The Korean meatballs soft, moist, no filler and accompanied with a vinegary, bright purple cabbage slaw. Fantastic. Support this place because aren't you as tired as I am of frozen bagged deep-fried food that is the normal offerings at many places in our area. Let's keep the good places in business! Let's turn a good restaurant building into a restaurant for 10 customers. 95% of this building is the kitchen. Hardly any seating. No actual tables. You sit on a couch. You have to wait for hours for a seat on the couch. You sit next to random people. Food isn't that great either. Just like the owners previous restaurant Tacobar, food isn't that great. I fully support local businesses 100% but when the owner ruins a good building and removes all of the seating and the food isn't worth the wait. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
