But that's not the best part, Terry was such a lovely server and we learned so much about Kansas too. The service is great, the food is great, and the diner and bathrooms were very clean! Overall, 10/10 recommend giving this place a try. If we are traveling through again, we'll definitely be stopping by!

I ordered their 9 oz "ribeye" steak with a baked potato -- but it definitely wasn't a ribeye, and it didn't look or taste like 9 ounces either. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium, but the waitress seemed confused, and what came out was tough and hard to cut through. Service was just as disappointing -- no drink refills, and she never checked on us once. We were the only customers there (which should have been a sign), but we still wanted to give them a fair try. Unfortunately, the food was poor, the service was worse, and the price didn't match the quality. We won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Well crafted coffee, friendly service, and pretty quick considering we ordered two lattes each. That's a lot of steaming. Prices were reasonable too. It was pretty quiet at 6 am but there was a table of silver-haired gentlemen sipping coffee and chatting, and there was local art on the walls. It seemed like this was a good place for the community. The food menu and baked goods looked good as well, though we didn't partake. This spot far exceeded my expectations for a tiny little town in rural Kansas. Five stars for that. In a bigger city with more coffee options this review might not be a full 5 stars, but Good Grounds is a standout in its region.

I stopped here during a road trip to grab a quick lunch. I didn't want to drive and eat so I opted…read moreto go inside. It was during the noon hour and they were pretty understaffed. There was no one at the cash registers. They did have a couple of kiosk systems but only one worked. It seemed like most people went through the drive thru or were picking up online orders. Our food came out a little bit slower than expected but it was accurate and standard McDonald's fare that you would expect. They were a bit heavy handed on the sauce but I think it just depends on the person. The restaurant and bathroom were averagely clean. It was fine but I prefer a bit cleaner environment. Again, they were super understaffed so I can see how things could stack up and things get messy quickly. I'd probably opt for a different restaurant if I pass through this exit/area again. But if I had to eat here again, I wouldn't die.

Experience - Not Worth the Price or the Wait My friend and I…read moreare currently on a 3-week road trip and were really looking forward to a nice, homestyle sit-down cooked meal here after reading so many great reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. To start, the restaurant was supposed to be open, but we had to wait around because the cook was late. Once he finally arrived and they took our order, things only got worse. When our meals made it to the table, the food was already cold. On top of that, both of our steaks were cooked completely incorrectly. For the prices they charge--I paid $34 for my steak and my friend paid $27 for theirs--you expect a hot, properly cooked meal. It was absolutely not worth the money to eat cold food, especially when you're looking for comfort food on a long trip. We won't be returning.
