We came to Fluid to do something fun as a family to celebrate my daughter's graduation and to give…read moreher a keepsake of this special time in her life. The experience DID NOT disappoint! First, the venue is as colorful and creative as you would expect, and the displays are beautiful, too. It is a lot to take in, but the concierge staff is super friendly and eager to ensure you have a good time. They congratulated my daughter and went out of their way to make her feel welcome and special. They also took note of my mom's condition (she has Alzheimer's) and encouraged me to make my own art while they walked her through the process. I mistakenly thought I had to book my entire party for us all to be there, but that was not the case. Rather than me forfeiting that deposit, the staff went above and beyond, allowing me to apply it to my own project instead. Everything was so easy, and making something your own was the best part. They show you how to work with the paint and what to do with it, but they let you own the creative process, so you walk away feeling like you made something wonderful! My mom was grinning and giggling as she created her work of art, and my daughter and son were in on the action, both enjoying letting their imaginations take over as they created works that reflected their individuality. Seeing my mom enjoy this as much as she did was the icing on the cake, because including her in activities can be challenging. Fluid made that easy! After we finished our experience, we took a tour of the resin-pouring process used to coat the sculptures and housewares for longevity. It was impressive that they are a family-owned business and truly take pride in what they do! As a takeaway, they gave Anya a gift, leaving us glowing. We can't wait to see the finished products. I would love to go back with my best friend and do another project. Thanks to the ENTIRE staff for making my daughter's grad celebration extra special!

She made me feel as if I was a master artist and I truly am not BUT my serving tray turned out soooo good!!! Groupon has coupons that are excepted here also. Purchase the Groupon 1st and then book the reservation online to enter the discount code. Even without a Groupon the value of the items are a good deal. It was lots of fun and I left feeling accomplished.

My 7 year old is very much into art, and when one of her friends from school said she was going to…read morethis day camp, my daughter wanted to join immediately! We picked the day that the rainbow jellyfish was going to be painted. You can pick a single day, or the whole week for a discounted rate. $48 included tax, 3 hours of instruction (you send your child with water and a snack), and a huge canvas to take home at the end! There was even enough time to allow the kids to pick out a small wooden or ceramic piece to paint as well (my child chose the Christmas tree). This place is easy to find via GPS and has plenty of parking. Inside, there are many painted canvases hung up showcasing all of the beautiful artwork done in the studio. This place also does birthday parties, private events and more! My child loved the experience and we are going to hang up her artwork on the wall in her bedroom. This experience is recommended for kids aged 6-12 years.

My friend invited me to Painting with a Twist for one of their Fourth Wing-inspired painting…read moresessions. I'm honestly baffled that the establishment is called "Painting with a Twist" because to me that insinuates there will be alcohol but I did not know this location was bring your own bottle. I've been to other paint and sip places that either provide the wine or at least have a selection to purchase. Considering that it's BYOB, I feel that the value does not match the price you pay for the class. When we arrived, the canvases were already set up and you were assigned a seat, so you did not get to chose whether you wanted to be closer to the front where the instructor was. My friend and I were placed towards the back, and although they did have TVs around that streamed the instructor live, they were a bit too small and low quality to really make out the details. I was also surprised to see the image we were painting was already draw on the canvas, which I'm sure it's for the sake of time but I personally find it more fun to be instructed step by step to create the painting from scratch. The instructions also felt a tiny bit rushed as I was struggling to keep up, but that could have just been me being too much of a perfectionist. I enjoyed that the instructor took breaks to do trivia and allow people to catch up! One of the instructors had read the books and you could tell she had a passion for Fourth Wing. I also appreciated that they came around and assisted with anyone who needed help. While our main instructor who was painting with us did a phenomenal job, I was a bit distracted by the other instructor who was on her phone every once in a while when she was not waking around assisting people with their paintings. Overall, I had fun but the experience was just ok to me, definitely not what I was expecting for paying almost $50. I was really excited for this, and a little sad that the experience feel short for me.
