TJ & Matt (owner's sons) have always been responsive, courteous, knowledgable, and fair in their pricing. They deliver quality service and are a pleasure to do business with. Unfortunately for their customers, Roy's was purchased by Plunkett's Pest Control, a much larger, Minnesota-based company, earlier this year, and the customer service has gone down the proverbial drain. On Monday, 7/15, we had a swarm of flying ants. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of ants. After several unanswered calls to the local number and also to the toll-free national number for Plunkett's, leaving messages and asking repeatedly for a return call, on 7/18 (fourth day after our first call) we received a response, which basically said they wanted to discuss our contract. Ultimately, on the 19th, I actually spoke to a company rep. He, unfortunately, was in Illinois. After attempting to direct the blame for Plunkett's total lack of response on the former business owners/managers, staffing issues, and every imaginable unrelated obstacle, he indicated they were "bringing in a team" over the weekend to get the staffing situation under control, and that they were "in the process of hiring and training technicians." Throughout his excuse-laden response, the Plunkett's rep told me "honestly this," and "honestly that" ( said "honestly" at least five times) and, finally actually apologized that Plunkett's had failed so miserably. By the time he got around to the apology, I "honestly" didn't care, as it was quite apparent to me that Plunkett's didn't care enough to adequately staff a new company acquisition in order to meet client demand, didn't want to acknowledge where the responsibility for that failure should rest, and had no chance of retaining my business. Plunkett's may redeem themselves once they get on the ball in Santa Fe, but it was not a good first impression, and, honestly, it will be the only impression we ever have of Plunkett's.

There was a 4 hour window and we called to see when they were coming only to be told the person couldn't be reached but they texted them to ask when they were arriving. Another company couldn't / wouldn't work with our schedule. I saw Howie's fantastic reviews of Harmony and knew I had found the answer to our pest inspection problems! I emailed on Saturday, after the business was closed, but still heard very quickly from Matt, the owner. He scheduled us for Tuesday at a time that worked for our schedule because he knew the only thing holding up our refi was the pest inspection. They were awesome - friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. We got a very thorough inspection and some great advice. I'd definitely recommend calling Harmony and if we have any issues with pests in future, we will call them without hesitation.

New Mexico has a fine assortment of bugs, including a few that you really don't want to mess with, and Harmony has stepped up, year after year, to help us "manage" the critters. They communicate via text, messaging about a week prior to the next scheduled visit, and they're responsive to the texts you send them, like the time we had mutant mice running through the living room, the wasp nest on the fence, a black widow party on the porch, and most recently, the mid-January ant invasion. Not only was Dylan on time and extremely personable (including admitting that the attack on the Capitol was impacting his mental health that day), he was thorough. Masked and distanced, he surveyed areas of the room where the ants were entering, adding pet-safe plastic baits in well-hidden places, and he sprayed outside, as well. "If I should come back, just call -- I'll be here as soon as I can." This example isn't an outlier, it's the norm. This is a family-run local company that uses organic, earth-friendly products and they hire great people. Hire them. They also relocate honey bees.

    I created a post on Nextdoor for some work I needed done. They were the first to respond. I…read morethought "great", and I hired them. They came in on the date, time, and cost we agreed to. They did a good job. However, after that is when the problems started. We would agree on a date, time, and cost, and then they wouldn't show up or call. Excuses I received included: 1. We're working on another job and we'll be there in a few minutes. Hours would go by before they would either show up or call me. I called them numerous times, and each time they would say they would be there shortly. Didn't happen. I was patient with them. 2. I offered to pay for their service by check, which they agreed to for the first job. Then, they contacted me stating they couldn't cash my check, and to pay them in cash. They claimed it was my CU as the reason they couldn't cash it, and that their business account had been hacked into. I was very patient with them; however, it was evident that they didn't really want to do the jobs, even though they apologized for not showing up when they said they would, which wasted a great deal of my time waiting. Additionally, when they started the last job, they really didn't accomplish much for the amount of time they "worked", I settled up the bill with them. Have not hired them since.

Darlene grandfather had the business for over 60 years, and then she took it over. They're thorough and friendly.
