I have watched it evolve, but not really, over the years. It's gotten better. I've been hitting up this place in Midtown and Snowden for years. This was my first time at this location. No frills, simple, to the point place. No need in any fancy ass lights, music, flair on the staff, overcomplicated menu items, or any other BS. There were only two ladies working here this day. I was impressed at their ability to pull off the shift as I sat and watched. The owner needs to increase the pay of these two. He has no idea how lucky he is to have them. They were awesome, I wish I knew their names. They sell a smashed type burger that is real meat, seasoned well, cooked wonderfully every time, with a side of fries that although are not fresh cut, they are pretty dang tasty. Battered fries is what I believe the term is. The coating helps them stay crisp and hot for longer. Nice invention really. Most toppings are free and it's actually very reasonable meal for today's food climate. They had a couple of specials this last time. The Cowboy and The Rajun Cajun. I had The Cowboy and it was fantastic!! Bacon, cheddar, onion rings. Yum! I will be back to try the Cajun Junt soon!! '25 - 68/111

Once you enter you notice how clean and comfortable the inside of the dining area. Now let's talk about the amazing favorable wings. Lately I have noticed most wing establishments have extremely small wings ( well this is not true at Big Myrt's). The wings are a nice size and they are always served fresh/ hot. I ordered the 100 party wings for an event being held for my niece. I ordered 25 honey hot, 25 lemon pepper, 25 bbq and 25 seasoned. The freshness, favor and texture of each one was amazing. One last thing about the Best Wing establishment in Memphis. Big Myrt's has the best prices of all the wings places I checked with for a 100 party wing platter. Trust me if try out this establishment it will become your favorite wing spot like it is now for me...

The French fries were acceptable but could have been a bit crispier. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The entire place appeared dirty, greasy, and in serious need of a deep, professional cleaning. The fryers, exhaust hoods, floors, and even the air conditioning units in the kitchen had a near appearance of being filthy, packed with grease and buildup. It gave the impression that cleanliness and maintenance are not being prioritized. While the staff was friendly and the service was good overall, the condition of the restaurant made the visit far less enjoyable than it should have been. I give this place 1 star . Your food is made fresh to order so don't expect it to come right out. It's gonna be a minute. I got the BLT and onion rings and a cherry Dr Pepper. Their "cherry" sodas are the old fashioned style in which they add cherry syrup to your soda which is not something you see often. BLT was very good, the bacon was nice and salty. It came in Texas toast which held up to the sandwich fillings well. The onion rings were good in that you could bite through it without the entire string of onion pulling out. The batter wasn't super flavorful and could have used more spice but I'll manage. Next time I'll probably get the seasoned fries. Counter Staks's was working hard the whole time we were there and very friendly.
