This Canadian chain is originally from Ontario, but they only have 2 outlets there & 1 in New York state. Most of the outlets are in the region of the Maritimes, like quite a few in the Gaspé peninsula. Got the seafood snack. The fish was better than expected: quite firm & fried decently. The shrimp was pretty good: pretty fresh though the batter was a bit thick. The scallop was OK.
Also got a 2 piece chicken dinner. The chicken was so-so: a bit greasy, not too flavourful & not fresh (like Singapore KFC on a bad day). The fries were OK - not too crispy & with no bite. The gravy was like hot chicken sandwich gravy: off-sweet (YMMV - I don't like this taste). The coleslaw was ok: not as bland as I expected & quite crispy, slightly tart & not too sweet. The bun was ok. read more
