Dixie provided our cabinets for a kitchen remodel in 2014 and did a fantastic job. We just did a major remodel throughout the rest of the house and I wish I could say the experience was anywhere near comparable. At the time I had a medical condition which prevented me from driving, so I asked if they could come out and measure and bring some samples and I would order on the spot. I was told they did not do that, a detail that still perplexes me from a measurement standpoint. They came and measured in 2014 when we did the remodel, and every company through which I have ever ordered anything measurement dependent (closets, doors, countertops, fireplace surrounds, decking, etc) has come out to at least verify the measurements I have provided. I tried calling a second time and got an associate, Ladonna, who was willing to come out to take measurements. Things went downhill from the second she arrived. I was planning a blue monochromatic laundry room, which was actually a designer's idea and seconded by my mother-in-law who is also an interior designer. Ladonna hated the idea and pouted like a 3 year old through the rest of her visit, refusing to provide any feedback. I had 3 projects planned (and ended up adding 2 more before the project was complete). I have never encountered a sales person who refuses to answer any questions or offer suggestions when the total project cost ended up being in the $25k range. We ended up using Kitchen Sales instead, and I can't recommend them enough. Charlee not only went out of her way to be accommodating, but she also texted from time to time with design ideas she had seen that would fit with our project. We will be using her for future projects and will not be going back to Dixie. read more
