FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER…read more I hate to do this to a small business, but I also find it important to speak up when anyone gets outta pocket. We searched high and low for over 7 months for a Bronco towable RV that wasn't going to break the bank. We finally found the 2023 Riverside 165X in March '24 and it was reasonably discounted at UWHarrie RV, so we stopped searching and pulled the trigger. I called down and confirmed the price and availability with the Sales manager then drove down from DC to pick it up. Everything went smooth as butter with the sale, the technician took over an hour to walk us through everything we needed to know about RV'ing--overall a solid experience. We drove the RV back home and quickly realized Broncos are not for towing, it can do it but now well. After 4, trips 3.5 months, we took the RV to Camping World to try and trade it in for something smaller. During the inspection it was found the roof was not sealed properly and the repairs added up to over $3500. This is where the suck starts... We called UWHARRIE and got a bit of a run around on the warranty--they gave us the contact info for Riverside who offered us to drive up to Indiana and get it repaired at their shop, we live in DC. Called UWHARRIE back and they gave us a dealership closer who could do the warranty repair. We called them and they no longer worked with Riverside. Called UWHarrie back and...this went on for over a month. In November Riverside sold to Sunset who we contacted about either reimbursement for the repair or complete coverage of cost--still haven't heard back. Camping World threw a Hail Mary out and sent us to a dealer in WV who told us, "since the RV sat on the dealer lot for more than 3 months it would have been on the dealer's to do maintenance or repairs while on their lot." Which means UWharrie sold us this "new" RV un-maintenanced which means all of this problem starts with them. But don't fret after only owning this RV for 10 months Camping World offered to buy it for 10k which means we would loose over 8k in total because UWHarrie didn't do a proper inspection before selling it to us. I'll say this --great customer service to get you in the RV, but terrible service when it comes to selling quality or caring after it's off their lot.

We met Kenny that day and in less than 15 minutes, it knew what the problem was and then explained it while showing us the problem. Needless to say, we will STAY with Carolina Campers from here on out. When we had the current problem, again, Carolina Campers found the problem fast, got the part needed in also very fast and it was back on the road in a few days. Hats off and tons of kudos to Kenny, Taylor, Don, and Stephanie, not only for there intense efficiency, but also for their truly friendly help, expertise, and making us feel like they are "friends of the family". It's companies and people like this that make American businesses what they should be. You have our deepest appreciation, and we will ALWAYS come to Carolina Campers, not only for service, but when it's time to upgrade to a new RV as your prices on everything is SO much better than the competition. Thanks again and we wish you all the very best. Have a blessed day. Kirk and Sandra, Graham NC

We called a Tiffin Dealer and they were very indifferent toward our problem. We saw Carolina Campers and RVs and pulled in with the hope they'd be able to help. Stephanie met us as we pulled in with a huge smile and let us know, that while they couldn't do Tiffin warranty work, they had two Tiffin qualified technicians. Within 5 minutes, we were introduced to Chad, who reset the Water Heater and then gave us a tour of the inside workings of the motor home. We were on our way within 30 minutes! Vacation Saved!

RV owners should strongly evaluate where that service is performed…read more We brought our Ember travel trailer to Camping World - Concord, NC for what should have been minor, manufacturer-approved warranty repairs. We had already coordinated the claim and parts directly with Ember, who was responsive and supportive throughout the process. Unfortunately, once the camper was in Camping World's custody, the experience turned into a months-long ordeal. During the service period: * Parts ordering was repeatedly delayed despite the issue already being diagnosed * The manual brake system housing/frame area was damaged while in service * All entertainment system connections were removed or disconnected for unknown reasons * Water line connections broke while the camper was in dealer custody, later requiring repair * Our Lippert jack is now non-functional and must be replaced * The camper sat on their lot for an extended period, resulting in four months of storage costs To be fair, our Service Advisor Ryan Jacobs was consistently professional, polite, and responsive. He appeared to be navigating delays and capacity issues beyond his control. Since getting the camper back, we have also noticed small irregularities such as items being out of place or missing (including brand-new headlamps and flashlights stored inside). While minor compared to the larger issues, it raises concerns about how the unit was handled while in service. Ember's support during the process was excellent. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the dealership service execution. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Camping World - Concord, NC for warranty service.

I normally do not leave long reviews, but after everything my family and I experienced throughout…read morethis process, I feel obligated to share my honest experience regarding the purchase of my 2026 Forest River Wildwood Heritage Glen 261FKRB from General RV in Salisbury. Initially, the sales experience was excellent. The salesperson was personable, confident, and made us feel valued as customers. My friend and I both committed to purchasing RVs on April 25, 2026, believing we were dealing with a company that prioritized professionalism, preparation, and customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, once the sale was completed, the experience became increasingly frustrating and disappointing. Before my walkthrough appointment on May 1, I clearly communicated to multiple staff members that taking time away from work directly impacts my income. I explained that it was extremely important for the RV to be fully prepared and ready before my arrival because every hour missed from work costs me money. I drove nearly two hours to the dealership after being told I could arrive early to begin the process sooner. Upon arrival, I discovered the wrong RV had been prepared entirely. Staff had apparently been cleaning and setting up another customer's unit. I was then told my RV would be ready in "15 minutes," but I ended up waiting well over an hour before the walkthrough even began. Due to the delays and lack of preparation, I lost an entire day of income totaling approximately $800. Once the inspection finally started, I immediately identified several quality issues, including improperly mounted ceiling lights, cabinet defects, a twisted cabinet rail, and an improperly sealed electrical/power box in the bathroom. While I understand manufacturers can make mistakes, I questioned why these issues were not caught during General RV's own pre-delivery inspection process before presenting the RV to the customer. The dealership agreed to repair the issues, but during one repair attempt, additional cosmetic damage was caused to the trim area, making the repair look rushed and unprofessional. I was then assured everything would be corrected and the RV would be delivered on May 7. However, upon delivery, the camper had a significant interior water leak, forcing the delivery driver to immediately return it back to the dealership for repairs. After another delay, the RV was finally delivered again on May 11. Unfortunately, even then, the camper had not been properly cleaned from the debris and mess left behind from the repair process. After everything that had already happened, this lack of attention to detail was extremely disappointing. At this point, my frustration is no longer simply about defects. The larger issue has been the overall lack of communication, preparation, urgency, and proactive customer service throughout the process. Nearly every update required repeated follow-ups on my end just to receive basic information regarding repairs or delivery timelines. Spending nearly eight hours at the dealership for what should have been a straightforward walkthrough process was completely unreasonable and reflected poor coordination between departments. To be fair, there were employees who attempted to help throughout the process, and I appreciate those efforts. However, good intentions alone do not fix systemic communication breakdowns and poor quality control. Purchasing an RV is a major financial investment and should be an exciting experience for families. Customers deserve professionalism, transparency, preparation, accountability, and proactive communication throughout the process. I genuinely hope General RV leadership takes reviews like this seriously and uses customer experiences like mine as an opportunity to improve quality control, communication, and overall customer service moving forward.

I was told the work would be 2 weeks out, and I would get a call with any needed work at that point, months before our trip, was perfectly fine - or so I thought . After 3 weeks, I called them, and the tire estimate was double what Discount Tire quoted, and they said I needed a new slide motor. They then ordered it, with an ETA of 2-3 days. After nearly two full months of status updates of "next week", the trailer was still not ready. Estimated completion times came & went, and many weeks later, two days before our vacation, they explained the parts ordered were "wrong" and they would get right on it. I only received updates whenever I initiated contact, which never came to pass. This caused us to cancel a long-planned vacation -- and lose our non-refundable deposit in the process. This experience was not only frustrating but also costly. I have no problem paying premium repair rates and higher tire prices when the work is done correctly, but six weeks late is a bit much. On top of all that, they simply glared at me wordlessly when I finally picked it up and had no further explanations or even an apology when I picked the camper up several weeks late. Just told me the total. To add insult to injury, the owner replied with a fictitious story & timeline, leaving out the fact that I brought in on 6/10/25 primary the tires, bearings, and a mechanical inspection, and specifically mentioned the slide blowing breakers. After I checked in on the 7/11/25 (over a month later) did anyone mention the motor, and said the ETA was 2-3 days, and that work would be done in a day. From that point on, I called for any further updates. Every call was 2-3 days, until we missed our checkin date - otherwise, we WOULD have picked it up.
