While waiting on the batteries, I was chatting with Andy about my wedding ring and how the white gold prongs had yellowed with age. He introduced me to a service in which he was able to treat the white gold with something that turned it back to its original silver tone. I am thrilled with the way it turned out and greatly appreciate his suggestion.

A few years ago, they…read moreresized my diamond tennis bracelet, and I just bought a new diamond tennis bracelet from her--it arrived the other day and it's absolutely stunning. The quality is unmatched. The diamonds are beautiful and high-grade, and the rest of the jewelry in her shop is truly one-of-a-kind. I'm very familiar with diamond and gold quality--I've purchased pieces from Cartier, Bulgari, and Van Cleef & Arpels--so I can confidently say Kim carries some of the best jewelry I've come across. And her prices are unbeatable. I also took the time to read through some of the lower-rated reviews (from years ago) and wanted to address a few things that stood out. First, this is a family-owned business that's been around for over 25 years. Kim, the owner (the older woman), is very upfront and honest--something I personally appreciate. I understand that her communication style might come across as blunt to some, but that's actually very common in many Asian cultures. It's not meant to be rude; it's just direct. Please don't take it personally. In my experience, Kim has never tried to upsell me. She tells you what you need, gives you fair pricing, and that's that. If anything, I trust her more because of how straightforward she is. Yes, sometimes there's a bit of a wait--but that's because they take care of each customer thoroughly and in the order they arrive. This isn't a big-box store with tons of staff. If waiting is going to be a dealbreaker, you might be better off at a larger store with more employees. Just know that once it's your turn, you'll get her full attention and care. All in all, Kim is my trusted jeweler and I wouldn't go anywhere else. This shop is a hidden gem!

Am I the only one with problems here? Every one else seemed to rave about the great customer…read moreservice here, and I must say that yes, I have had GREAT customer service here from a GUY working- he's super flamboyant and just, awesome! But besides that, I seriously have had issues. And I buy shoes, a LOT. Specifically Aldo shoes. I came here this afternoon to return a pair of shoes I bought with the guy here last time that I had ordered at the store online... After going to UTC without my receipt and being denied a return, I called Aldo got all the info and came back here. Great thing was the manager didn't even give me a hassle...but... She was really rude! Like I've had her before, and she's the manager and I'm sorry but (not) she rubs me the wrong way. I believe last time I came I had really crappy service from her and this time, I even remembered her (I think I may have given her a slight piece of my mind last time) and so I tried to be diplomatic.... Unfortunately it started from the get go... She asked me 21 questions. She brought out the shoes I needed but gave me a cap at 4 shoes and wouldn't bring out another pair until I decided to remove a pair (that I hadn't even tried on yet) and made a point of telling me she does it because her store is "small"... Um, I've been to many Aldo stores and they're all SMALL, If I want to try on 5 pairs of shoes I will- what if I want them all (this is very well possible with me)... I didn't fight her on this though... She came back within like 3 minutes asking me if she could take any away (to give me the others) and I hadnt even put on the left shoe for the first ones I was trying on #fail...and when I calmly (ooooh as calmly as I could) told her, I was working on the first still...she got kind of defensive... Like she was slightly annoyed... Long story short, I found the shoes I wanted. I tried to be as nice as possible but I almost walked out and just returned cuz she gave me the worst service, and unfortunately the other girl there did too. I felt like I was being scrutinized for being there and like I wasn't to be trusted with even the bag of shoes I had initially bought because she took those from me from the get-go... And again, upon closing the sale...I had a 15% email signup and she even asked me if I had used one already and noted that I already used on the last ones... Like SO rude. As a customer, please don't belittle or insinuate anything. The point of service is to be nice and make sure I'm happy. And yes that I don't steal anything but I've been in here so many times by now that they should literally know me as customer of the week LOL. So...at the end of the day, I'm spending money and if I want to use three/four/five or ten coupons, as long as they work so be it. The point is to get me coming back. I seriously almost want to write a letter to corporate on this. Only cuz it's so lame! I love Aldo so I'll keep buying their shoes but looks like my main store is gonna be UTC from now!
