DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARE THERE! read again! I dropped off my car because when turning the wheel there was a cracking noise. Milton the manager, told me the struts needed to be replaced. They kept my car for 3 days. When I picked it up, the sensonr lights for ABS and steering were on, there was a squeeky noise from the tire and the car was not drivable. The mechanic rushed me out saying just bring it back tomorrow. Which I did only to collect my money from the shity job they did. I took it to a different mechanic the diagnost is that the sensors were broken, the knuckle was missing and the CV Axel was dislocated. I had to spend more money in parts that were not broken and time. Of course Milton has not answered the phone ever since or my messages. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE! I originally came to Division Auto because I needed an oil change. I used Openbay to book the oil change appointment, and it was super easy to book with them. After the oil change, Milton let me know that I needed some new tires and a transmission flush. He explained to me how the transmission fluid flush would help my car, which is always great for better understanding. I decided to visit again for the transmission flush. The day before I brought my car in, he let me know my quote would increase due to the transmission fluid from Audi being more expensive than he originally thought. I certainly appreciated the heads up! I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is looking for a reliable and honest auto repair shop. The worst place to fix your car. I don't recommend this place at all. I had a very bad experience trusting this "mechanical." My car needed to replace the engine. Supposedly it was going to take 2 to 3 weeks. I just ended up waiting about 4 months for it to be ready. I paid around $4,000 because I supposedly needed a new alternator and hoses. In the end. I hand it over after 5 months. I handled it for 3 months and the engine broke down again. They took the car to their workshop and inspected it and the manager said that I couldn't Covering the composure that the car was overheated by some hoses that were wrong (hops that they removed and reinstalled) so as not to make the story so long did not comply with the 6-month warranty he promised when he insisted on paying a little more for an engine with fewer miles and supposedly it would last more pure lies they just wanted to charge more Avoid this place at all costs! Tried to change the oil on the Porsche Cayenne myself. I realized going into it, there were a few bolts I couldn't remove because of placement, so I got lazy and gave up. Brought the car here on a whim and Wilton did my oil change for a VERY reasonable fee and under 1 hr. Let's just say it was 90% off what a dealer would charge. Great service, on time and very courteous and knowledgeable. They were even able to reset the maintenance timer on the car, which not many places can do since it requires a special computer software. They come highly recommended, support the small guys!!! read more

Don't go here! I needed a U-Haul truck on Saturday to move some bookshelves. I got a truck from this place. I only wanted it for a day, but Division Auto Clinic is not open on Sunday. They lock the gate to their parking lot over the weekend so there is nowhere to leave the truck. This puts the renter in an awkward position, because you have to find a parking spot in the neighborhood. I returned the truck on Sunday morning, and parked it in the most obvious place it could go, right in front of their main entry. It turns out that this spot, even though it's a legal metered spot, was not available on Sunday's (another sign further up the street). Division auto clinic did not tell me avoid the most obvious spot. It ended up costing me $454. The charge showed up on my credit card one day, unannounced. No one explained that there was a towing, why it cost so much. When I explained this to Milton initially, he told me that I knew where I could park, and I shouldn't of parked where I did. When I said that I was going to tell my story on Yelp, he said that maybe they could do something. I've been trying to get a hold of Milton for months now, and he won't return my calls. The whole thing seems very questionable to me. Division Auto rents a truck, doesn't provide a space to return it, ... then another towing company shows up to cash in. There are many other options in the neighborhood, I would recommend shopping around. read more

Don't take your car here for emissions repair work. They replaced the emissions charcoal canister in my Toyota sedan to take care of a check engine light error code, then light went off again after one week. They then said it was another valve that needed replacing, at additional cost. They said this would take care of it. Check engine light kept consistently going on after 7-10 days of car use, for about a month straight. I'd bring the car in and they would reset the light and send me on my way (waste of time) They finally gave up and said it was the car CPU that must be malfunctioning. I don't believe that for a minute. I now have to take car to another mechanic after dropping $750+ on these guys (though I've been avoiding it for no because the car drives great other than the CEL issue). Don't believe 100% guarantee, it's a joke. Avoid at all costs, don't waste your time. read more

SUPER BAD SERVICE ! I (young lady) literally was threatened by the fat owner. I have a mercedes benz in which i took to get it 'serviced' ... got it towed to the place by my insurance towing service . Guy calls me to say that my car was 'ready' the next day. When I got to the shop, mechanic had told me that my wiring was bad because rodents had chewed on them . I am always skeptical with mechanic repair shops so I asked him to show me . He never did and said all wiring was under the car and that he had to disassemble the whole wiring to show me . Whatever , so I payed him over $400 just for him to 'tape' the chewed on wires . Left the shop with my car running but still feeling something wasn't rite . As I drove my car to the house the car stopped in the middle of the road . Called this fat guy and he sent one of his tow truck to pick it up and take it back to the shop . Then he says it turns out to be my Rite Side electric fuel pump in which he wanted to charge me an extra $300 plus his hourly labor which he says is an additional $170 . Of course I was mad because i payed for something in the beginning that wasn't even it and never got proof or shown that it was actually the wiring. So i decide to get the fuel part on my own and he will charge me for his hour labor ... turns out the exact part i got did not work . He calls me to go see with my own eyes..as he invites me over inside the shop were the cars are ... he shows me and tells me ... since i start questioning him he then tells me to take my car out of his shop and that he wasn't going to repair nothing . As i and my brother continue to ask him questions he starts to threaten my brother and I saying "you guys don't know me outside this shop " meanwhile he's cursing us out. He then tells my brother "you wont do nothing" as if he was going to fight . I then tell him i was going to call the police and then luckily my car started (Thank God) and I drove out his filthy shop . I do have video recordings of this altercation with this man and will be looking into taking legal action ...DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP and/or go at your own risk. read more

I went in today an hour before the shop was to close. The mechanic was able to install brake pads and fix the rotor within an hour at a very reasonable price. I was hugely relieved because every time I applied my brakes, a loud noise came from them. The owner was very professional and nice. He also said that he'd be willing to fix a bad muffler job I had done elsewhere for a reasonable price. I'll definitely be returning. read more

I feel moved to let others know of the outstanding work of Division Auto Clinic, and owner Milton. I've been going since they opened, 5 years ago. Throughout the years, Milton has seen that my well-used car runs as reliably as any new car. You can imagine the maintenance requirements -- and he has done everything. His services are better than reasonable. He provides the expected professional details, but he'll also search for used parts that work. Milton is consistently reliable -- making arrangements for me drop off my car before I go to work (before he opens up); he calls me with estimate and discussion, and always delivers on-time for my after-work pick-up. I've relied on Milton when my car broke down at night, in a snowstorm, on the other side of town. Milton answered his cell, located a reliable tow truck driver, who arrived quickly, drove me home, delivered the car to Milton, who fixed it the next morning. (I also recommended Milton to a co-worker when her car broke down - same great service.) Also: Milton is the only mechanic on located on Paseo Boricua, (Division St between Western and California), and he contributes to support community efforts. I will say these guys seemed very nice and helpful while we were at the clinic. We brought the car in and they diagnosed our issue of a bad water pump right away and were able to fix it right away while we went down the street for lunch. This was a Saturday and their last appointment for the day. They called us to pick up the car and as soon as we did, they all hurried out the door. Literally half way down the block, coolant started spraying out from under the hood. We immediately returned to the clinic, called, and knocked on the doors. We couldn't get a hold of anyone. We investigated ourselves, and it turns out they punctured the coolant tank while they were replacing the pump. Either they didn't notice they did this and didn't test the car before calling us to pick it up, OR they realized their error and took off before they could be held responsible. Basically, our car was undrivable and they left us stranded for the weekend read more
