The broth comes bubbly hot (up to 300C = 572F, its poster claims) in a stone pot, and is luscious, rich and flavorful with prominent notes of pork and fish. It's too heavy and salty for sipping, but excellent as a dipping sauce for the bouncy, thick noodles. I like thick noodles so this is perfect. The pork is a large, thick cut that is mostly lean with a bit of fat attached. You can select how much noodles you want: 200g, 300g, 400g, or 800 for additional charge. I asked for 200, but the waitress insisted that I should order more, and warned that should I want extra noodles after the bowl arrives, it would additional charge. Turned out that I should have stayed with my intuition as I ended up with leftover. This place also offers children portion, and has interesting drink options imported from Japan.

Gone is the unlimited lobster, shrimp and other seafood and instead you'll get a platter with one of each and if you want oysters, you have to pay a surcharge of US$4 per piece. There's no longer a carving station and instead they put out a braised beef stew and another low quality item I can't even remember. The sushi/sashimi station is also gone and instead you'll get a pre-assembled fish bite of some kind. The live pasta station is still there but with mediocre selection, it's good but not something you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The rest of the buffet is just so sad with very limited and low quality selections, there's a tuna fish salad on offer, need I say more? They're also stingy with their champagne, we had to ask for a refill a couple of times and they stopped pouring half an hour before closing. We've given this restaurant more chances than it deserves and this time we're saying goodbye to them for good. For the price that we paid which was over US$150 per person, there're better choices out there.
