I booked a session here being TOTALLY UNAWARE they are the best rated massage in Richmond, and you know what? I left thinking, "That's got to be the best massage I have ever had." I have severe, chronic pain. I got a massage somewhere else--that I won't name here--and my pain was so bad, I let the masseuse use a lot of pressure. I realized this was a mistake the very next day and they'd done some damage, but I could not use my arm--which is a bad situation to be in. A few days later, I got an appointment here with Tiffany. Tiffany was AWESOME. Along with a general massage and cupping, she used a method called scraping--this, my friends, did WONDERS for my arm. The beds are heated. The face-thingies are SOFT (I don't know why I can't find this everywhere). The only downsides? 1. There's no membership option!!! WHY. WHY WON'T YOU LET ME GIVE YOU MY MONEY MONTHLY?! 2. There's no rooms for couple's massages, and booking two separate massages at the same time for two different people using their online system is. . .not something it wants to let you do. My trick is to book one massage with another directly after it--both times I've done this, I've been called and asked if that was intentional. Once I explained, they had no problem arranging for me and my partner to both get massaged. 3. When you arrive, there's no receptionist, no front desk--there's chairs and magazines, so you KNOW it's the waiting area, but it can feel awkward waiting and being unsure if anyone knows you've arrived for an appointment. Fear not; It seems these folks are punctual and aware of when a client should be there, so they'll pop out of the room they massage in and get you--don't be weird like me and wander around, making the fact you have social anxiety super obvious, awkward, and everyone else's problem in addition to your own; Sit down and open a magazine and read about Reiki. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. Richmond is flooded with just below average massage parlors/masseuses, which is why you're going to have a hard time ever getting the same, one, good masseuse at a location repeatedly; There's a LOT of turn over because, well. . .Not a lot of people are great at massage. If they are, odds are they'll begin working for a nicer place *cough*Divine Spark*cough* or relocate out of the area entirely. Since Divine Spark is the best, they're priced highly, so I see this place as a place to go when I'm in extreme pain or as a very special treat. Beware--this is a small location and company, so book well in advance if a specific date is important to you. I'm already ready for another appointment, but honestly, seriously, beware; Your next massage elsewhere will leave you disappointed after a trip to Divine Spark. read more

I've seen Greg for several Reiki sessions now and honestly, he is a miracle worker. One of the best parts is that he actually takes the time to sit and chat with you before starting. I never feel like he's rushing me out the door. He really listens to what's going on with me, which makes the whole experience feel so much more personal. It's hard to find a good Licensed Massage Therapist, but Emma's massage lived up to the good reviews for Divine Spark. I go once per month for a 90 full body Reiki massage with Tiffany Garton. It's never a disappointment. The Reiki portion is super grounding, while the massage portion always sets my muscles at ease. Had a Thai Table massage by Link and it was fantastic! She was very professional, easy to speak to, and really listened. I had an injury to my calf and just years of pent up stress. Have enjoyed Distance Reiki sessions from Rachel, a Reiki Master Practitioner. She is so knowledgeable, intuitive, and talented. Her sessions are amazing! During the session,with my eyes closed and laying down, I can feel gentle healing energy moving up and down my body, pausing briefly at my chakra points. Minutes after the session, Rachel will send an audio text detailing what she found when scanning the chakra's, and include some suggestions on how to improve, remove, or lessen a blockage of one or more of the chakra's. Divine Spark offers a variety of unique and wonderful wellness choices. I had an amazing full spectrum massage with Grace yesterday who left me feeling much better than when I walked in. She was attentive and easy to communicate with regarding pressure preferences. I enjoyed the hot stones and towels on my feet as well as the aromatherapy. Rachel is a fantastic masseuse! Something I love about her is that she doesn't chit-chat throughout the massage. She allows you to relax and be comfortable while she focuses her energy into healing your body. As an example of her abilities, I walked in with knee pain every time I bent it. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about Reiki and had never tried it before, but was curious about what a session would be like. Rachel was recommended by a friend of mine, but I thought about it for several months before booking my appointment. I'd heard that Divine Spark was one of THE places to go in Richmond for Thai Massage and was blessed with not one, but two gift certificates. Rachel is a multitalented and very intuitive practitioner in all of the modalities she offers. I indulged in the Divine Spark Experience which included Reiki, Thai Cupping, healing crystals, sound healing with crystal singing bowls and a 30 minute psychic reading for my first appointment, then went back a month later and received an hour and a half Thai massage. Both experiences were PHENOMENAL-- I'm a licensed massage therapist and I can attest that I have not had such a profound experience before with any of those modalities.
