BUYER BEWARE: Bad service and will charge your credit card without permission. Personally cost me…read morean extra $700. I reserved Abiding Limo for my very expensive and elaborate birthday party that I had been planning for 3 months. I reserved their limo party bus to pick up myself and friends from 5 local, in-the-loop, locations and take us to a resort down south on Saturday and return everyone Sunday. The total route took less than 90 minutes. I reserved a full 3 hours just in case. The total cost was near $1,000. The limo was late arriving to pick me up and the driver had a list of stops that was incorrect. I gave him the new list of stops with printed directions. The limo bus had tears in the seats that were carelessly repaired with black duck tape and the stereo wasn't working correctly. The driver spent 15 minutes trying to fix the stereo. We then proceeded to pick up the other passengers. The driver took surface streets instead of the more convenient and faster highways--wasting time. He then went to the wrong location before being told by me again to use the list and directions I provided him. Every time we stopped somewhere he would immediately get out of the limo and walk down the street. So every time we stopped we had to go chase him down and tell him to get back into the limo and drive to the next location--again, wasting time. After picking up the rest of the guests, several guests had to use the restroom, including myself. We expressed this to the driver. He then began pulling into a gas station. One of my guests told the driver that there was no restroom there but he pulled in anyway. The driver then got out of the limo and walked down the street again!! When we finally got him back into the limo he took a busy surface street instead of getting on the freeway--wasting time. 45 minutes later, over an hour after being told guests had to use the restroom, he finally pulls into a hotel so we can use the restroom. When he pulls in he does several turns around the parking lot for no reason, while guests are shouting at him to stop so they can use the restroom. After we were finally able to use the restroom, we get back on the road. The driver still over an hour left to get us to our destination, So what does he do?? He goes the wrong Freaking Direction!!!! Instead of heading South on 288 like he was suppose to he heads South-West on 59 toward Sugar Land. Myself and several of the other guests shout at him and tell him he's going the wrong direction. We plead and show him GPS on our phones. He refuses to stop and turn around for several miles. Finally, we're heading the right direction. I get a call saying that the other party reservations I've ordered can't be delivered because we're not there yet. That cost me $300. Along the route the stereo stops working altogether. And what does the driver do?? He stops in the middle of the Beltway and walks back to look at it. Clearly this imbecile can't fix it. His idea of fixing it was wiggling the wires. We're without music for the rest of the trip. About 30 minutes from our destination the Air Conditioning quits. It's over 90 degrees outside. The driver doesn't bother stopping to try to fix this however and the limo very quickly becomes an oven with 12 sweaty and uncomfortable party guests inside. We finally get to our destination over two hours late!! The driver apologizes to me and the other guests and says we will not be charged for the overage on time because it was his fault. Several guest overheard him saying this. The driver then refuses to leave until he's tipped. My guests tipped him $100 cash despite his inability to go the correct direction, follow directions and take an efficient route. The next day I got a call from "Sam" the owner of the limo company saying that I owe several hundred dollars in over time fees. I insist that it wasn't my fault, I booked double the time we should have needed, the driver took the wrong route, the driver stopped a wrong destinations, the driver walked away from the limo repeatedly, the driver took surface streets, the driver didn't follow directions, and most importantly, the driver took full responsibility for his mistakes and insisted I would not be charged for his mistakes. Sam tells me that the driver told him he made no mistakes, the stereo and AC on the limo worked perfectly and the guests only gave him a $20 tip which was "a bad tip". Sam goes on to tell him that he's going to charge my credit card on file for the overages and isn't sending a limo to pick up my guests-Illegal, unethical. After being unable to procure a limo last minute all my guests had to pay for taxis or find other means of getting home--ruining their experience at the party I had planned for 3 months! In addition to the inconvenience, I was charged a $400 late checkout fee from the resort because we were there so long trying to get everyone a ride home. Abiding limo charged me $880 for a one way trip to hell.

I'm torn on the stars--the driver gets FIVE STARS! He was absolutely amazing. He was in full dressy…read moreuniform and looked quite sharp. He had all the things we needed, including a corkscrew, because we forgot one! We had some complications from the office, not his fault, and yet, he accommodated us beautifully. His name was Larry, and would highly recommend that if you use their service, you ask for him. We were completely satisfied with our driver. He even had some great suggestions for places for Christmas lights in some nice parts of Houston. Unfortunately, the reason for not getting five or even four stars has nothing to do with our driver. It has to do with the reservation set up. The way it feels to me is that they were willing to say whatever it took to get our deposit and it didn't matter if what I wanted was what they offered. I requested a limo that would accommodate 10 people. I requested one on the website that said it would accommodate 10 people. They wrote back that the one I had requested would not be available, but assured me the one they were sending would seat 10. Well, it might have seated ten children. It would not seat 10 full-sized adults, and yes, three of the guests were people of size, but even so, it was a super-tight fit and there were only 9 of us. We were an hour away from the limo service (in the suburbs) and so a quick exchange for a bigger vehicle wasn't possible. We called the office and they said they didn't say it seated 10 people, but rather, it seated EIGHT to TEN people. If that had been told to me, I would NOT have rented that particular limo, because we had more than 8 people. But on the website, it clearly indicated there were different limos--some that seated 6, 8 and some that seated 10. I picked the one for 10! The office only offered to allow us to pick the hummer limo, but there would be an additional $180 charge (amount amended--That night cost us over $600). I've been informed it was a discounted charge, for a hummer that 1) was not previously rented on a 2) weeknight that was 3) after 6, so unlikely to be rented-I think it could have been a better offer. We had to drive over an hour in the cramped limo, with one of us sitting on the floor, to get to the yard to switch. The driver told us he would not charge for over time on the trip If we went over. The office has said this is true, we won't be charged, and I trust that they are honest about that. I'm not worried about my bill. While I feel they were not clear enough on their reservation process and were more interested in making a sale than being completely transparent, I don't feel they are dishonest. So we get to the yard, and move over to the hummer limo--and on the floor are napkins and dust and dirt. The lights in the roof flickered all night (one that buzzed off and on because it was going out). Even though we had called the office and let them know we were going to come get the hummer limo, and it took us more than an hour to get there, the limo was not prepared. We moved the bag of ice and water bottles over to the new limo ourselves, and then had to get out and go back for the champagne glasses because there weren't any set up in the hummer. THEN, the driver had to put gas in the hummer, because there wasn't any--so we had to sit, without lights or air conditioning, while he filled up the tank. I personally think this alone deserve some form of compensatory discount--but that wasn't offered to us, even though the company responded to my original Yelp review via email. Since my Yelp reviews often include accessibility issues: the hummer is not accessible. With a limo, it's easy enough for someone who usually is in a wheelchair to slide into it like any vehicle, but with the hummer, you have to step up on the step rail and then the side rail and then into the hummer. That's difficult for someone who cannot use their legs. Fortunately, I can still walk, but it's not easy to pull up into a vehicle like that--and it wasn't something I had considered prior to arriving. The regular limos should be fine with a folding wheelchair though, and the wheelchair can fit in the trunk--but let them know in advance. Also, even though they have a Christmas Lights Tour advertised on their website, they have no tour. The driver apparently will take you driving around places YOU want to go to look at lights. We were under the impression they knew or had contracted places to drive around and look at lights, but they don't offer that at all. Fortunately, the driver had a few suggestions of places to go and we saw some nice lights. In the end, we had a good time; the rest makes for a good story, I guess. Let me end with: If we need a limo again, we absolutely would go with their services, but would also make certain we and they are more clear during the reservation process, so there are no minor misunderstandings. When paying this much for services, I do expect excellence, not just acceptable (or even just good).
