I had gone to this store on Monday, picked a couple dresses I liked and wanted to come back and try on again the following Friday, and Leslie helped show me what I can expect from the dresses once they arrived in my size if I were to choose them. I thought I'd be spending at least $1,500 for a nice dress, but I was shocked when she told me the price of the dress I liked best, and I knew it was the one! It was clear that Gia, the bridal consultant, measured me incorrectly from the beginning. This was incredibly disappointing--especially so close to my big day. I immediately left and took my dress to Wedding Gown Alterations by John, where they had to take in 4 inches at the waist just to make the dress wearable. The total cost of alterations came to $1,200, on top of what had already paid for the gown. This is not the experience or service I expected from a high-end boutique. I'm sharing this review so that other brides don't go through the same emotional stress I did. Double-check your measurements and confirm every detail--don't rely on the boutique's reputation alone.

That decision feels both unfair and dismissive of my time and planning. What makes this even more disheartening is that I have family, including my aunt, traveling in from out of town specifically for this appointment. Receiving this type of notice on a Thursday afternoon leaves me with virtually no reasonable opportunity to secure another bridal salon that can accommodate us on such short notice. PJ was my consultant and she did an amazing job of assisting me throughout the entire process. She spoke with me and my guests before we picked out and started trying on dresses, assisting me with trying on, accommodated my guests, and was a joy to work with! My dress is a Allure, with beautiful fine detailing throughout. After trying on many dresses, I was excited that this dress had all the things I loved from the previous dresses I tried on. The area we used was semi-private so even though others were at their appointments, it felt like we were the only ones there. I love that we didn't feel cramped. Overall, a great selection of off-the-rack dresses! And since I made my appointment at the bridal expo, I received 20% off, which greatly helps with wedding planning. Note - Brilliant Bridal is off-the-rack, so if you find your dress, you take it home same day. They do not do in house alterations, but gave me a list of about a dozen tailors/seamstresses they have worked with and recommend.
