They take the time to correct form, explain movements, and tailor exercises so you feel challenged and supported. I also really appreciate that all of Kor's instructors are trained and certified through highly reputable, internationally recognized programs such as BASI and Balanced Body. Their training and professionalism truly show in the quality of instruction and the attention to proper alignment and injury prevention. The community here is just as special -- the owners, Rebecca and Paul, are welcoming and genuinely care about everyone who attends Kor, and the other attendees are kind, encouraging, and supportive. It never feels intimidating, which makes it easy to stay consistent. After consistently attending both small group classes and private sessions with Tania and Lara, I've noticed a huge improvement in my flexibility and core strength -- movements that used to feel impossible now feel natural. As a bonus, I've also experienced steady weight loss, better posture, and fewer everyday aches. I especially appreciate the late evening (7:30pm!) classes offered during the workweek, which make it possible to fit fitness into a busy schedule without stress from my long commute. The studio itself is clean, positive, and motivating, but what really sets it apart is the instructors' expertise and encouragement. They make every session productive and enjoyable, whether you're brand new to Pilates or experienced. Highly recommend to anyone looking to feel stronger, move better, and actually enjoy working out!

I've taken classes at corporate studios, and while they may be good, KOR emphasizes quality over quantity, and you feel the personal difference right away. The individualized attention, supportive environment, and thoughtful instruction really makes this studio exceptional! I highly recommend KOR. It's good for both mind and body!

The flow and class structure itself was good, and the instructor was good too. This was the first studio I've been to where you're assigned a reformer to use for the duration of the class, and I got assigned the reformer with absolutely no mirrors at all: None. I couldn't even see myself in the reflection of other mirrors. For my first time here, this made a terrible first impression. Luckily, I'm pretty good with my body awareness for coaching queues, and have experience with a reformer, but if you're a visual learner, and it's your first time trying pilates, or you're still not comfortable with it, it would have been very hard to keep up with the class. I'd suggest either adding mirrors to this area, or getting rid of this reformer altogether. Paying the same price as others for a sub-par experience is just not how you want customers to feel. The whole point of Pilates is to be aware of your movement and control: how can you do this, if you can't even see yourself? Even the instructor said I was doing good for having no mirrors, since "it's very hard to do without mirrors". Lastly, the platform on this reformer squeaked SO much. I feel so SO self conscious and bad whenever it would make a sound to the point where I stopped the workout altogether because I felt like I was detracting from others' experience: again, not being able to even complete a workout isn't what you want the customer's experience to be like. Overall, I would not recommend this studio based on my first experience. There's lots of other studios who made me feel like my money would be worth spending there, but not this one.

I love this location because of the convenience, intimacy of the class, ease of parking, and proximity to home. In addition, as someone who has a variable schedule, this studio I've found has the most availability for classes. However, getting to trial classes at some of the other locations (Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley), there is only one con of taking workout classes here: the mirror set up! While I was taking the class, I was in a place where I couldn't see myself in the mirror and look at my form which was unfortunate. My instructor Alexa was kind enough to give me and several others who were in the middle of mirrors form corrections throughout the class. Otherwise, this would get 5 stars from me!

Discovered this gym from the Next Door app, a neighbor recommended it. Went to check it out, toured the fitness center, signed up last month after contemplating if we wanted to really commit to the lifestyle changes we needed and truly wanted to make. It's been a few weeks now so I want to give an honest review. First, the gym is more of a contemporary wellness center/fitness center. It is refreshing, innovative and the cleanest gym I've ever belonged to. Our gym experience in a historical background perspective - been a gym member at 24Hr in my 20's-40's Gold's gym in my 40's-50's, so for decades- belonged to a gym, and frequented regularly. Also last 8 years had our own home gym equipment. Had to sell the home gym equipment to make room for the grandchild's crib! So here we are. We were in search of a gym once again. This is a family owned business and the owners are health conscious. One can see they put a lot of thought into this small business. They have NEW state of the art equipment, with technology-app enhanced features which helps with tracking one's fitness. There's professional physical therapy trainers and consultants for nutrition/dietician, massage specialists, trainers that are there to support and teach not to merely sell you. Two group classrooms for yoga, balance, stretch, chair, core classes, etc.. it's a wide range of activities which I haven't had the chance to participate in yet but will in the future. There are extracurricular activities for community building and social support. I really like that feature. As people get older it is often challenging to find friends and a social support network. They help build that in. I can see how this is such an added bonus for retirees. I'm not quite there yet but very forward thinking, I love it. Great concepts fulfilling human social and developmental needs. There are 3 levels of membership. I was able to join through my Active & Fit employer membership for $32/month per person for access to facilities;the "core" level membership. Classes in core enrollment level is $18 per class. Wish the classes were inclusive at the core membership level. However, one can join higher tier membership like the Infinity level at $85 month and get unlimited everything and many additional benefits to all their offered activities. The one concern and recommendation I'd have for AIM is to get Guest WiFi up and running in order for the apps to run faster and have a better connection. It is a bit frustrating at times when it is not connecting to the equipment. Obstacles can be annoying. The equipment includes cardio-treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent cycles, recumbent elliptical, working both arms and legs, strength training machines, free weights, etc. they really have so much it is more than any person would want. The gym is well lit, fun music from our generation (baby boomers and forward) and a spacious clean feeling throughout the gym. The staff is helpful, friendly and professional. Check it out! Tell them, Cathy from Yelp sent you! Let's get healthy!

Before turning 51, I had been feeling sluggish, getting headaches and not fitting my clothes anymore. My gynecologist confirmed I was in peri menopause and that my weight gain was part of the package. She told me to workout more and eat less, but I was already working out 6x a week! I desperately needed direction for my food and my workouts. This was the first time working with an online trainer/training program, but Aftann made her meal/workout plans easy to follow. Yes, it was work on my part to make sure I was eating the right things and doing right the workouts. But once I was feeling better, more energized and seeing results, that gave me more motivation to keep going! Working out wasn't really my problem; if anything I wasn't resting enough! That saying "Abs are made in the kitchen" is VERY true. You can workout all day but if your food isn't on track, you won't lose weight/fat.
