I have been coming to this studio for a few months now. I came from a booth camp studio and HIIT workouts. I liked it but never saw any real results. I started doing Pilates as a newbie in this studio. I was so nervous thinking I was going to fall as I have never done Pilates before. The trainers here are so sweet and accommodated me on my first days. The workouts are hard but not too sweaty and I saw results almost right away. That's why I kept coming. Instructors make it fun so you don't feel how hard you are working. I have emailed the owners late at night to put me in the wait list of some class and she answers instantly. It was my first ever class at Pure Pilates and Erin was so helpful and knowledgeable. I've only used the Reformer in the past but she provided specific and helpful instructions on how to operate the Megaformer, how to modify certain exercises, and was always watching out to make sure we had good form so we engage the right muscles. I'm still relatively new to Pilates (I usually do HIIT classes) but I'd definitely recommend this place. I think prior knowledge of the Reformer or Lagree will help a lot but after my class with Erin, I would trust the other instructors to be as good as her. read more

I tried to explain this and she ghosted me. Update: I find it amusing she emailed me only after I wrote this review and said "you didn't give me a chance to investigate". It had been ten days. I get it. She's running a business. Probably too busy to respond. But I replied twice and got no response until posting a review. And instead of apologizing, (or even just not responding, which would've been more mature) she gets defensive and takes no accountability. I used a Groupon to visit this studio, it allows 5 visits. Please double check the expiration date after you email Erin to activate it. Groupon states the voucher expires 90 days after activation, but I received 60 days. I emailed Erin and she provided fast and prompt responses, but preferred I used up the voucher within 60 days. Once you activate it, then you can sign up for classes with Mindbody. There are 8 megareformers, so classes will fill up quick. The level of difficultly depends on your instructor. I believe Kim teaches the most classes. Each instructor has their own routine with substitutions for difficulty or ease, regardless most incorporate a full body routine. Some utilize additional props like the ring. During the last class, the instructor did not enforce the late policy which I find disruptive to other students that arrive early. read more

Kat was always super nice and helpful - she would give me advice and help with any modifications that I needed. Erin was a bit cold and didn't feel very beginner friendly. I had thought that this studio also offered mat pilates but that was not the case. When I had emailed Erin about possibly refunding my membership, she was a bit rude. I appreciate that she did allow a partial refund, however her attitude in the email response did leave a bad taste in my mouth. I've been a regular member at Pure Pilates for almost two years and love it. I was avid in weight lifting and running, but I think megaformer Pilates has been my absolute favorite workout to do. All you need are grip socks! I usually take classes with instructors Erin, Kat, and Jacinthe and they are all amazing and I feel they always give me a great workout after their classes I also love that this studio only has eight machines as I don't prefer it when a workout space has too many people. With an intimate studio you are guaranteed to have the attention of an instructor who can help you out if you're struggling or need to correct your form. You also have the option to host your own private class with any instructor you choose to use your own music playlist. I've hosted six private classes at this studio and everyone I've invited said they enjoyed the workouts with nothing bad to say (except that it was probably one of the hardest workouts they've done) Other perks of this studio is that they offer water, have grip socks for purchase (in case you don't have any), play good music, and parking is easy! I took a class with Michele and she was so helpful and patient. She demonstrated each move we did for us newbies. She helped check everyone's form while also letting us go at our own pace. The reformers are nicely spread out so you never feel like you're too close to anymore. The class itself was pretty challenging as someone with very minimal pilates experience but it never felt impossible. Michele was good at giving encouragements while letting everyone take their time. Will definitely be sore tomorrow but am already looking forward to going to the next class and getting stronger. The studio itself is pretty light and airy. I previously took my 1st class here with an instructor that doesn't work there anymore and she quite literally traumatized me! I was scared to come back but I gave this place another chance and booked another class with Erin. Let me tell you!!!! I was SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED with how different it was from the class I took last time and I loved how Erin was so patient with my friend and me considering that we are beginners in this Pilates journey. I just want to say that their classes make all my other pilates class, look like a walk in the park. I've actually only started pilates this year and after 3 months at Club Pilates, I wanted to try a different studio. I will most likely participate in ClassPass for these studios. I bought the Groupon on a whim to see what other studios could offer and I was so pleasantly surprised with this place. I've only taken two classes but I can already feel that I'll go here more than Club Pilates, even if it's an extra 10 minutes away. It is such a good workout and I'm glad all the classes are pretty much same, aside from advanced pilates (I am not trying that class anytime soon, I can barely live through the normal class). While I am a new client, I can't help but comment that most of the criticism are coming from individuals who are expecting like catered corporate treatment. My impression when I first saw the studio has a mom and pop feel and the studio has 8 reformers. It feels very bare bones, but the instructors so far, have been encouraging and patient. She greeted us at the front and right away was saying if we weren't on the list we couldn't be attended ON her microphone for the entire studio to hear. How unprofessional and RUDE. I had emailed her and she did not mention anything about registration or Groupon. She has 1 free promotional class on yelp. Upon arriving, she was denying that I ever emailed her! So I bring out the email to show her and she would not look at it. She was dismissive and im honestly saddened and disgusted that we were treated that way. This is my second Pilate class and my first Pure Pilates class. I really love the playlist that the owner incorporated into the routine. It really made me feel like it's one of those fun cycle classes. I have to say this is very challenging but Erin was very conscious of the fact that I'm a newbie, so she made sure she made adjustments for me. Definitely not easy. I thought Pilates was already difficult as I was transitioning from yoga, but wow, pure Pilates take it up several notches. I was one of those people during Covid who decided to pack on weight and stop working out. I finally decided to find a place so close to my home that I had no excuse to not go. I cannot lie, I didn't love class at first. It was really hard and I had to modify...a lot (still do, lol). In all honesty, I wouldn't have liked any type of exercise at this point. My body was heavy, and it hurt, even without exercise. But each day I started to enjoy class more and more and now I'm in love with them. Erin and Kat are awesome. Jacinthe's classes are a blast.
