Spacious, clean, and well lit studio I took my first class this week and it was great! I was definitely sweating and my legs are sore from the workout. The instructor was super friendly, helpful, and encouraging. This is the most spacious studio I've been to so far in OC. Parking was easy too. I did have an issue with my reformer. The spring changes aren't hooks like most other machines. They're switches and mine got stuck on a heavy spring even though it looked like it was off. It's hard to tell because it's a switch. I've been going to SeaFit for about a month, and I'm completely addicted. The classes are not only hard and effective, but also a lot of fun. The instructors are all extremely kind and enthusiastic, and they ensure that everyone feels at ease and included. I was initially apprehensive because I had never used the machines before, but each instructor put me at ease. One of my favorite aspects of SeaFit is that it is a full-body workout. You'll work your muscles from head to toe (including those I had no idea I had), and you'll leave feeling powerful and invigorated. After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to take a Pilates class at SeaFit whilst in Orange County for several days. When I drove up, I did not expect much from the studio because it's located in plain building with CVS etc. -- or maybe because it was a humid, overcast morning. However, walking in, I was surprised at how refreshing the interior is. While the front may seem small, the studio is actually spacious. Bathrooms are clean. There are plenty of bins to place personal items. I was particularly impressed by the phone charging station. I have a bad habit of looking down at my phone sometimes when I am set in a plank so I felt that was a nice idea to have a charging station in the studio. The instructor I had for the day was Claire. She politely introduced herself and gave me the usual run down of the reformer. It was nice to have to have mirrors on both front and back of the machine in order for me to judge my form. Claire's class was tough because she incorporated certain moves I am not used into the routine. A couple of them I want to use in my usual studio to spice up my workouts. read more

I took my first Lagree class at Seafit last night and I absolutely loved it. I have done reformer for awhile and wanted to try something new and I am completely hooked! I've been coming here for a year now. I absolutely love it. It's a wonderful studio, with great instructors and a good crowd of people. Their schedule has a generous offerings of classes (and times). And reserving class spots is easy. In comparison to most high endurance pilates studios, I appreciate that SeaFit puts an emphasis on making sure you're doing the movements right. Took Cerissa's class yesterday and I was so impressed with her engagement with everyone that I had to come to Yelp and talk about it. Be it Pilates or Lagree, the hardest and never ending problem we will all have, is having the correct form. Cerissa was very well in tune to that and I'm so grateful. Been doing lagree for years and there's only a few instructors that aren't afraid to touch you and guide you to do every move the right way so that you can get the most out of your workout. Best workout around! I love that every class is different and there are always new ways to challenge yourself. The instructors make is very easy for all levels to work out together by offering modifications for the beginners to make it easier and modifications for those who want to push harder. I hated looking at Pilates studios that you could only fit into one or two time slots based on your level. The schedule is all online and very easy to book. The studio is super clean and all the equipment gets wiped down after each class. During the pandemic, they took extra precautions to make sure that they could still have classes in the safest way possible. Highly recommend to anyone that has ever thought about Pilates, I promise it is addicting! read more

I have been coming to this pilates studio since 2013. I love the instructors, the environment, the energy. The studio is very clean. They make sure the equipments are sanitized after every class and in-between. The on-line schedule is very user-friendly. They have a wide range of class times available starting at 5am, all the way to 7pm. Each class is 45 minutes long. Catherine is very kind and has helped me throughout the years to fix any scheduling problems I had. She's very thoughtful. In 2011, I had melanoma excision surgery on my left lateral foot. 2 inches was excised on my lateral foot. I was on non-weightbearing on that foot for 8 months. After 8 months, my legs and body were unsteady, uncoordinated, out of balance. I was insecure walking, going up and down the escalators, and walking on a curb. I'm so glad I found Seafit Pilates Studio. As a beginner, I was slow and didn't have much strength. The class accommodated every level with different modifications. I was never intimidated. I flowed, I strengthened, I flexed, I stabilized my whole body in 45 minutes of class. By having a strong core quickly improved by balance, and soon I was able to stabilize my foot. I walked better and I was more confident at work. After 1 month /3x week classes, my quality of life improved. There is no pressure on my joints. It increased my core strength. It improved my balance and coordination. It sculpts by body. It prevents injury. It is so worth it and I am thankful I found this studio. read more

Stared classes here about a month ago and I am obsessed!! The teachers are so nice and helpful. They have a great schedule and I can usually get the classes I want pretty easily! Weekends fill up fast but they post the schedule a month in advance so you have time. It is a little pricey but I think it's worth it. I can already feel a difference in my strength and flexibility. The workouts are hard but short so it really does go by quickly. read more

The benefits of the Lagree method and equipment go beyond the obvious. It is a challenging, ever changing workout with low risk of injury. The studios are immaculate, the women and men (more women than men seem to participate) are all very kind and encouraging of one another. If you are contemplating starting at Sea Fit, I recommend trying it! A fast & efficient way to lengthen, shape and form muscles. If you go, I recommend taking a class with Alex! She provides a killer workout and is very conscious of the class's varying skill levels. She is great at providing direction and ensuring proper form / techniques are being used on the equipment. I always love her class. The only negative is that it can be hard to reserve a class time. I wish they would add a few more Pilates reformer machines and / or more classes to the schedule. read more

I wasn't going to let being in Huntington all day keep me from getting a little calorie burning/muscle toning in since I've been on a roll lately in an effort to avoid rolls (hi yo!), so I did what any respectable yelper would do and yelped "first class free" near the cafe I was working at. I had thought ahead of time to bring workout clothes with me and since I was heading to an event afterward, I wanted a workout that would be worth my time without making me sweat bullets, enter pilates. While SeaFit came up in the results for "first class free," they don't offer that on their website (maybe they do for walk-ins), but at $10 a class, it's almost like it's free, so if you'd rather secure your spot ahead of time in the event the class you want is crowded, it's easy to do so through their website, just have your CC handy. I was greeted by Jen who kindly welcomed me and gave me a brief rundown of the machine and all its parts she would be referring to since it's been a hot minute since my last pilates session. The class was a bit smaller than they usually get at 5pm, but it worked out perfectly, as there were 5 of us, and the room has 10 machines, so we all lined up along one wall and attacked our muscles like a team. Jen's instructions were easy to follow and I really enjoyed her energy. I finally got to feel all of the muscles I've been building in weight training cardio classes hard at work. The movements are catered to help tone and lengthen what you're already working with, so it's a great way to assess your strength. I dug her music selection as well (new hits). The class was 45 minutes and I got exactly what I wanted out of it. It was a solid workout and I highly recommend for anyone who lives or works in the area. They also offer 3 classes for $30 and/or $99 for unlimited for a month for new clients. Bring toe socks, as I was the dufus who was rocking the bare feet and having to dissect my machine twice just to be sure I wasn't leaving any ground grossness for the next person. read more

I actually love this workout and it is my favorite Pilates studio around. It is tough, but you can adjust based on your level. The reason for the 3 star is the price and availability of classes. They appeal to the people that want to buy monthly memberships (probably smart), so classes book up almost a month in advance. I think monthly members book way in advance, then drop when they dont want the class. Even the waitlist is full, making it nearly impossible to get any classes during popular times. Buying individual classes are pretty pricey ($180 for 10 classes) and they expire after 3 months (they will extend it for you through). Obviously they are doing something right, but it truthfully take more time and energy getting into the classes than the class itself. read more

This review is for the M3 class with Lexi... My friend and I came for the first time and we are dead now! Lexi killed us, but in a good way. This class is very intense, probably not for beginners like us. But Lexi gave us close instructions and her great attitude kept us going! The location is great, easy to find, and offers plenty of parking. The studio is clean, neat, simple and offers plenty of space. It never feels cramped or crowded, even in a full class. Sometimes it gets pretty warm in there even with all the fans blowing. Bring a towel! You WILL sweat! The equipment I have used has been clean and never gave me any trouble. The instructors vary, some are relatively relaxed and casual while the others are more full of energy, helping you get pumped for the insane 45 minutes you are about to endure. Just to give a shout out, I really enjoy Lauren's class. She's positive, upbeat, thorough and makes her rounds to make sure you are in proper form, etc. The music is loud and she really works you hard. Even when it's over she is singing your praises. There have been times I have left class without a single 'thank you' or 'have a good night.' It goes without saying that every studio will vary in the instructors they offer but here are 2 more of my faves so far: Alex is awesome. She always has a great attitude and offers a challenging class. Stacy has been known to kick my butt, literally. She's another one that makes sure you leave sweaty and will feel it the next day. She's pretty high energy too, but not compared to Lauren. Overall, this is a super great place for the workout it delivers. My clothes fit better and I have noticed some serious changes in my definition and feel stronger in general. I highly recommend giving it a try. read more

I don't work out. Ever. After hearing about this studio from a friend, I decided to sign up for the 3 classes for $30. After the first class this past Tuesday, I'm hooked. I was a little worried about being a beginner and not being able to keep up but Jen was a great instructor and I caught on quickly. 45 minutes fly by and you SWEAT. I'm still in pain, all over, 4 days later but I'm looking forward to the classes this weekend. I definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants a complete workout. Catherine is more than willing to work with you if you have family/kids commitments that make finding time difficult. read more

I heart SeaFit! Best pilates studio in OC. They have another location in SJC, but this one is brand new as it just recently opened in January/February of 2012. The studio is clean, lovely and spacious. With brand new machines that don't stick, smell or look abused, I actually don't mind driving all the way out to HB to take a class with Jessica! She is my favorite, but really all other girls are terrific too. They are all really fun and motivational. They make other SPX studio instructors seem really boring and monotone - not fun. The workout itself is full body- and tough. You work legs, thighs, arms, chest and abs all in a 45 min class that goes by quick. Depending on your strength level, they will suggest different modifications for different levels. You can move at your pace. I highly recommend this workout. It is pricey, but if you take advantage of the packages it is a good deal. read more

I have been coming to SeaFit for the last 6 months and I absolutely love it! The studio and the machines are always clean, and you can just tell they take pride in everything revolving this business. The workouts themselves are killer, but you can always adjust for your fitness level and how you are feeling that day. I also appreciate how each month they seem to switch up the moves so we are constantly learning and trying new things. Honestly all the teachers are good, but my favorites are Lexi, Jen, Alex and Stacy. They all have a different style of teaching but you can tell they all really enjoy what they are doing, and care about helping their students get better! I have tried just about every pilates studio within a 10 mile radius of my home in Newport Beach. The normal reformer classes bore me now that I have taken the megaformer classes. I love seafit! The studio is always super clean and all of the instructors are extremely friendly and motivating. I love that they have the new megaformer machines (they are so nice, clean, more intense and easier to change the springs) What really stands out about sea fit though is their customer service. I am blown away by how nice Catherine and all of the instructors have been. Catherine is so helpful!! Here are a few examples..... When I first started here I bought the new student special - a month limited (only 3 times a week) and after one week I was bummed I couldn't go every day. Not expecting anything, I emailed Catherine and she let me upgrade to the monthly unlimited! Now I've gone at least 5 x a week ever since I started :) When I was interested in buying a sweater she helped me find the right size and got it transferred to the studio I normally go to. Lastly when I found out they offered student discounts I emailed Catherine again and without a fuss she made the change to my pricing and even refunded the amounts I had previously paid. Seriously amazing customer service and a wonderful workout. I AM ADDICTED! If you're looking to tone, burn fat and lengthen and strengthen your muscles at a studio with amazing customer service seafit is for you!!!!!! Holy crap!! 2 years and some odd months later I'm still addicted. I LOVE every single instructor that I've had and feel amazing after every single workout. I'm nearly 5 months pregnant right now and they are so good about modifying any moves that I need to avoid during the pregnancy. 2/21/13- Took a class with Liz.. Boy oh boy! she kicked my butt so hard... i was dripping in sweat the whole time. We were doing all sorts of workout. for legs: squats, lunges, skating, for core: teasers and planks for arms: pulls i liked all of the work out.:) 2/18/13- Came here at 7:30pm to take a class with Catherine. her class today was focused more on lunges and/or legs. And maybe 10 mins of arms. Those lunges or leg work out was so rough... at the end my thigh was shaking or trembling. they say if it's trembling.. you're suffering from muscle fatique and it means godo things are boudn to happen. But it just sort fo funny that my legs keep shaking or trembling.. it sort of embarrasing. read more
