I tried a number of duds and had a lot of no call no shows. And, then on a family visit I discovered that my grandmother's small apartment was being cleaned by Amy at Maid to Perfection. I immediately asked for the contact info, because Gram's home was spotless and looked amazing. I did meet with Amy, who did a walk through and gave me a reasonable estimate for biweekly cleaning. Amy's availability didn't meet with my schedule so they set me up with Mim, who is soft spoken, highly professional and thorough. I guess my experiences with prior cleaning companies can be summed up by my husband's comment when Mim started dusting the ceiling for cobwebs. "Wow! No one has done that before!" So far I've only had one occasion where they needed to substitute another cleaning person for my schedule, and that person was just as fantastic, even having never been in my home before. Since I am busy caring for my loved one, I need to be able to rely on a paid service provider to clean my house. Unfortunately, I can't even count on them to clean properly. When I was moving frames off of a table to accommodate a new hospital bed in the bedroom, I found layers of dust - not one week's worth rather WEEKS' worth. Furthermore, there were bunches of cobwebs underneath on the legs. It is clear that these cleaners had not bothered lifting up and moving objects to even dust thoroughly the way you expect professional cleaners to do. They also chewed up and ruined a cable by running the vacuum cleaner over it. Each time I tried to speak to the office about these issues, I was treated with the attitude that I was being overly demanding or that these things were beyond their control.
