We had two certified divers and two who needed the beginning course. Kenny and Joe were our instructors. They were great with all of us, especially me-a bit of a scaredy cat. He never made me feel like I couldn't do it. He just keep encouraging me until I was successful. The afternoon of the dive Cal and Tracy joined Kenny. All three were very helpful and competent. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO REFUND YOUR MONEY! We had to cancel our trip due to an illness. Joe said it was no problem and he'd process our refund in the next week or so. After many messages and weeks later, it was pretty clear they had no intent on refunding our almost $700. In the end I filed a dispute with our credit card company, where he claimed we received the services and I was basically lying. I provided phone messages he left with our office, phone records proving our timeline, day/time stamped text messages, and Yelp reviews showing he'd done the same thing to other people. In the end won the dispute, but I've seen on here that some weren't so fortunate. Don't believe them when they tell you they'll refund your money, even if they're cancelling on you. Don't pre-pay for this trip. I will never recommend such a shady business to anyone. Just shameful. read more

We were excited to try the Snuba trip with Dive Duck Key - we bought some gear and dropped the kids off for the afternoon. When we arrived at our scheduled time, Joe wasn't there. In fact, he never showed up. One of his co-workers was there taking out another trip, and having finally gotten a hold of Joe, he had to relay a message to us: "Sorry, Joe meant to call this morning to cancel!" That was interesting. Now, three days later, we still haven't heard from him, nor have we received a refund to our credit card. Their voicemail box is full, and we haven't gotten any responses via email yet. We do not recommend this company at all! ***Update*** Two weeks and two promises later and we STILL have not received our money back. Clearly, they either have very little concern for their customers or they're too irresponsible to take care of their business. read more

I'm staying on my boat in Hawks Cay Resort, which is a pleasure, though a bit pricey, but you do get alot. But whether staying on Duck Key or not, Dive Duck Key is a hidden treasure! No need to go anywhere else whether for open water certification, refresher or to visit Davey Jones Reef Lockers. The staff is Extremely pleasant & accomodating. They have onsight locker drying & storage for your gear, a Knowledgeable Captain, dive masters & staff. Their enthusiasm for the sport is contagious; feel free to catch some. While I came down to sail, Diving here has been my main joy. They are the highlight of a 6 week stay here; Where I've had a lot of fickle Feb/Mar weather - Nuff Said. read more

We did two different trips with Joe and Kenny, both friendly guys who know the area well. However, they are on island time. For the first trip, the night prior at 8 pm, Joe called and asked if we would be willing to dive in the afternoon instead of the morning, which we agreed to. While on this trip we confirmed our second dive trip for 8 am dive on Weds (today). Kenny showed up at 8:30, and assured us Joe wasn't far. With the shop damage from the hurricane, he has to drive to marathon to get the tanks filled. It wasn't until 10 am that Joe finally showed up. Additionally for our first dives, our tanks were filled to about 3,200, but for the second trip, first round were filled to 2,800 and 2,500 for my husband and second round for my husband was filled to 2,400. It is very pretty diving here but definitely would appreciate more timeliness and full air so we could have maximized time under water. read more

Me and my fiancé went out two times during our stay on duck key. We did the guided spear fish tour and had a wonderful time. The guide showed us a lot of things we wouldn't have noticed on our own. The staff was helpful and kind and the gear was clean and in good shape. I would highly recommend this dive shop to anyone interested in a fun time! read more

We are staying at Hawks Cat resort and my husband and two 12 year olds have been diving since 2015. They LOVED it. While it does cost $$ vs finding a spot to walk off from the beach it's much easier for my daughter with the gear etc Myself and two 9 year olds did Snuba. Tony was great and I was a little anxious being the old lady :-). The first dive down he knew I was nervous and made sure I was A OK Loved 2nd dive down so much my boys thrilled I'll get certified with them come spring 2018 Bottom line. Great staff. Not in their hands on what we see and don't see. The Scuba folks saw a lot more as they had more freedom but Snuba is a great means to see if you would like Scuba! We (hubby and 12 year olds) past customers and have raved and now I have the pleasure of a 5 star review! Great time!!! read more

Don't give them your credit card, especially if there is a chance of bad weather. There are taking you out rain, wind, or sun. Don't try to back out if you think it's not safe conditions. Most of all, you better not write them a bad review or the owner will call and threaten you. My only recommendation, is pay when you get there. The dives are never full, so no need to chance credit card charges for reservations ahead of time. read more

Would not go if your looking to spearfish. Staff was nice and helpful. However since you are going out with families doing snuba it doesn't really make sense that they advertise spearfishing to go along with the same trip. read more

Went on a SNUBA trip today with Dive Duck Key and it was an excellent experience. Nice, experienced crew with an abundance of professionalism! Equipment was in great shape and clean, the Boat was tidy, comfortable and well kept. Wade, Jessica, LD, Captain and Emily were the ones helping out and tey were quick to help everyone, especially those that were new to SNUBA. Went to two dive sites, the Donut and Elbow, both were beautiful and the visibility was 80ft, amazing! Excited to return back next time for a diving trip! read more

I would give this operation 5 stars, but for one potential misconception for some divers. Staff, boat, prices and nearly all other facets of a delightful day of diving were top notch. Some novice divers may be anxious about the absence of a dive professional in the water leading some reef dives. Reefs are shallow, instruction is clear, and little chance for poor dive experience. Still, some want the tour and a guide to seamlessly navigate the tour away from and back to the boat. Here, you may at times be on your own. read more

Took family for first ever Snuba experience. The staff was extremely professional, friendly, and patient with beginners. The kids were ages 8, 12, and 14. All were able to see a lot of sea life and even hold and/or touch a few things. Overall, it was great! read more
