It was my first time visiting Diva Nails today and Kristy did a spectacular job. She took her time with my nails and told me that she wouldn't let me leave if I didn't like them, which showed me that she really cares about customer satisfaction. She is a very friendly and funny person, talking to me throughout the whole process and making me feel very welcomed. With her current promotion, a full set of acrylics was $20 plus she offers free gel polish with this service. I wanted the coffin shape, which was an additional $5 and 2 "rockstar" fingers was another $5 as well. She even gave me a rose at the end! I appreciate that she ASKS multiple times while doing nails if you like it or not, or if she should change it in any way. I enjoyed most of my experiences coming in and getting my nails done here. However, the last time I came here, the owner did my nails and I felt like she was so rushed to finish what I requested for that by the end of our appointment, I was disappointed with the details. I didn't want to be rude so I didn't say anything despite paying $200 total including lashes that felt clumped together and chunks falling out the very next day (without washing my face for 8hrs) It was my birthday the next day and was kind of embarrassed of them. UPDATE: Kristy, the owner messaged me on Instagram and apologized and said she would cover the cost of the fill. Which I appreciate. Although, my opinion still stands about the poor customer service of her employees, because even when I returned the service was still poor. When I told my nail tech that Kristy had told me I could get my fill for free her mood completely changed and she demanded to see the messages and said it would only be free if I deleted my review. I was just shocked that her entire demeanor changed because she found out she would not be charging me for the service. At first I wanted to delete my review because the owner was apologetic, but after returning and being treated the same way I have decided not to. Obviously, I will not be returning. I walk into the salon early at about 5pm and it takes them time to realize someone has even walked through the door, then the lady asks me what i wanted and i told her i had called for a pedicure and fill she just told me to sit and wait. It is now about 6:15 and 2 other ladies have walked into the store and she asked them what they wanted one of them needed a pedicure and a gel mani. She immediately sat them down without even realizing i had been sitting there waiting for more than an hour!! I had to tell her myself that I had been waiting here for a pedicure and then she decided to sit me down. The tech did my pedicure which was fine. At this point it is now 7pm and they close at 7. She still has not done my fill and decided to give the lady who came in after me a gel manicure. After she finished at this time it is about 7:30, she tells me can you come back tomorrow. I WAS APPALLED!! This is TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I waited in your salon for more than 5 hours and you have the audacity to ask me to come back tomorrow? If your nail techs do not know how to properly manage their time you really need to better train them. I was so so disgusted by this service i do not understand why they had to waste SO much of my time when they could have told me SO much earlier to come back tomorrow. Ok. I went to this salon for the first time.... there are mixed reviews good and bad. I decided that I will need to see for myself what is the quality. Well, it was horrible, on Instagram Kristy shoes nails that are really beautiful but in reality they are not. Consume beware of their bad work and unsanitary conditions. They also over charge for their very poor quality of service. I ended up paying $155 for supposedly coffin shaped nails and pedicure. I will never return to this place. Funny how things can change so quickly. I was so happy with my first visit and my nails were exactly what i asked for. However at each subsequent appointment I waited a minimum of 15-20 minutes before being seen, which isn't the end of the world if I am getting the nails that I like. I showed up today for my 9:30 appointment with Kristy and sat there for more than 20 minutes waiting. I was used to her running late so I didn't think much of it. Finally someone asks me what I needed. I told them I was there for a 9:30 appointment only to learn the Kristy went back to Vietnam for an illness in the family. First, I completely understand emergencies and needing to reschedule. In fact, Kristy has rescheduled with me before because family was coming into town and I had zero issues with it. What pissed me off the most about today was that no one bothered to call and cancel/reschedule with me. I sat there like an asshole for 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me only to tell me my appointment wasn't happening. Kristy has my phone number. She writes it in her calendar each time I make an appointment. Emergencies aside, you run a business and owe your customers the courtesy of a telephone call. Instead I wasted my Sunday morning. The sign says $50 for full leg and $35 for half leg which everyone knows half leg means without thigh but apparently to Cathy it mean only the front of the leg but leaving the back hairy LOL I pointed out the sign to her which got her down to $40 she claimed the sign needed to be updated but never in my life did a half leg mean only the front of the leg. I'm so glad I dropped into this gem of a place! I'm very picky with my nails and pedicure and boy, these ladies exceeded my expectations! I came in to get my nails and pedi fixed from a previous bad job at another salon. Anna did my pedicure and took the pain away from all the excess cuticle that was left behind from the other salon. Now I'm going to start off by saying that I am a very particular person who knows quality work from establishment when I see them. This place atmosphere was very chic and it had a very good vibe, I totally was able to relax. The staff was very pleasant and focus. Now what I am judging this nail shop on is their quality of work my pedicure was outstanding the lady did an awesome job with my ingrown she's was very gentle and effective and she took her time. I'm not one to get my toes polish and scream how amazing the person/shop work was, and walking away with pretty polish toe nails, however my feet are still rough and in pain or I got cut all up during my manicure because My Nail Tech was rushing but managed to do a great paint job within a 20-minute time frame. I need my hands and feet to be properly prepared before polishing.. however for $26 with a deluxe pedicure it was totally worth it my lady scrubbed my foot until all the dead skin was off without trying to shame me. She also took her time and did not rush and when she put the Polish on she made sure that I was 100% sure of my color. My manicure was very pleasing as well she took her time and when my two month old baby started getting fussy she still allowed me to free up my left hand to put his pacifier in his mouth and with three to four crying interruptions she had the utmost patience with me and allowed me to still be a mother and get a manicure at the same time. With that being said you would expect a person to start rushing your paint job however she still took her time and made sure that her work was neat. The lady that did my pedicure was waiting for her next client and she Rock the baby's car seat to keep him calm while the nail technician finished my gel manicure. My overall experience was very good I have not had a top rated experienced in a nail shop in quite a while I would say that this little nail shop is a hidden gem in highland. I would definitely be coming back and I hope to be just as delighted as I was the first time the second time around. I came and got a Mani & Pedi.... Pedi- I had Gel polish on my toes and she put some "Gel Remover" on and when in contact with my skin INSTANTLY burned! I grabbed my toe after it being put in the water from the pain and burning and she just kept yelling at me to not touch. I kept telling her it hurt, and she tried putting my foot in the water. She just slathered whatever that was carelessly. I picked the Deluxe Pedi that was $35 PLUS $10 if you want Gel. It supposedly includes 'CUT & FILE'. I asked her 3 times if she could cut my nails short, she wouldn't even reply. She just filed my nails and kept pretending to cut my cuticles around my toes. At a point i started laughing because I could clearly see her not cutting ANYTHING and just touching my toes with the nail clippers like What are you doing??!???? She legit just filed my toenails down, even when doing that she would scrape the top of my foot with the Filer and if not that then freakin file off my cuticles. Again, at one point I pulled my foot away from her because that Shiii H U R T! Mani- I asked for regular Gel polish, I had asked for the price and they kept changing it for different reasons... I picked white and ended up looking like an Off white/ Yellow. The lady who did my nails honestly could care less and would pull and throw my hands at while hitting the Light machine. She got so upset I moved my hand inside the machine before she can throw my hand back me... she stopped everything and stared at me until i said "what?" I had really high hopes for this place, which is probably why I ended up giving them more chances than they deserved. The first time I came in, I brought my boyfriend (and introduced him as so). Oddly, they separated us and took him to the corner pedicure chair while I got my nails done with Kristy closest to the door. Afterwards, my boyfriend told me they were trying to set him up with the owner's daughter. It made me uncomfortable, but I decided to take it as a compliment and moved on. Strike one. I recommended the place to a handful of my girlfriends, to the point where Kristy was so thankful she told my friends she'd give me a discount the next time I came in. Never happened. Strike two. Even after these incidents, I continued to go because I really liked the way Kristy did my nails. I always overtipped, gave her recommendations on how to attract more customers (having more technicians upload pictures of their work b/c she was stressed at how overbooked only she was), AND even wrote out a rough draft message for her Instagram followers when she had to take a personal leave. However, the last time I went, she gave me a 45 degree pinky nail. Strike three. It took me a long time to consider writing this review but it's long overdue. I've been a loyal customer since the day Diva Nails opened. They had a 30% off promo for a little while but that wasn't what kept me around. The ladies are nice and they have a wide selection of acrylic powder. I've witnessed many transitions of new employees and it's unfortunate because everyone I started liking, I would eventually not see them anymore. I was always kinda curious why. I was going to Kristy at one point for my manicures, but I eventually felt inconsistency in her work. I always call prior to coming and even though I had an "appointment," I would still have to wait. I started to feel like her work was rushed and sometimes my nails were crooked. There were times I noticed some of my nails lifting and it was barely a new set. Eventually her availability didn't align with mine and I decided give Brandon a try. I loved Brandon! He took his time with his work and my nails would last 3-4 weeks. He always made sure I was HAPPY with the end product. I was impressed and happy I found someone I can just finally stick to. Well, I was wrong because I called one day to come and sadly I was told Brandon no longer works there. Super disappointed, but needed a quick fill so I asked Kristy if she was free. She told me to come in 30 mins (10am) and I was there on the dot. She saw me and was in somewhat of a disappointment (like oh hey it was you who called). I was about to sit down and someone walks in and said she had an appointment with her at 10am! So Kristy decides to push me aside and delegates the job to another person. She didn't asked if it was okay, she just assumed. I thought it was RUDE as hell. Hannah saw me and asked me if it was okay or if I wanted to wait...of course not! But I told myself it was the last time I would go to Diva Nails. I'm super disappointed because I liked Kristy and have always tipped her well and have brought in SO many referrals to her business. But I hate the lack of professionalism. It doesn't seem like she treats her employees well either and I've heard many other stories amongst my friends. Don't get me wrong, Kristy is good at what she does but I feel like she tries to put a lot more on her plate than what she can handle. I found Diva Nails on Yelp while searching for a place to get a quick pedicure. I saw 5 Stars so i figured, I'd be safe. While getting my pedicure i felt so comfortable and the staff kept a conversation going. I didn't plan on getting a full but after seeing Kristy's Work i decided to give her a try. This is my go-to place for my mani/pedi. I love the professionalism and i love the plaza it is in. parking is in the back FYI - i got confused as to how many parking spots there actually was the first time i went there! i really like how they organize the nail colors. they keep it nice and neat behind the mani tables so customers and kids can't play and touch it.... but while you are sitting and getting massages from the pedi chairs, they have color samples you can choose from. It allows the nail color bottles to be neat and organize. i am also OCD hahaha My experience is always pleasant and if the ladies have room to squeeze me in, i will get my lashes done! Debated posting this and was sure if I should give 2 or 3 stars... went there about 1.5 weeks ago on a Friday when they opened. I think it was Natalie who did my nails, just gel with fairy dust. Gave 3 stars for the service and price. BUT After 1 week they started peeling off and snagging in my hair, now three nails have peeled off :( I've had gel done other places where they lasted almost a month!! wanted to give 2 stars because I called them a few days ago and they said it'd be 9$ to redo or $5 if it was really bad. Came with my sister in law and brother. I thought it was gonna be great! Cute little spot and everything. They did my brother pedicure first. His feet were honestly not that bad so for the lady to dig into his foot to make him bleed was unnecessary. Even when he said ow, she didn't even acknowledge it. Then she went on to my pedicure, I wasn't paying attention but thank god my sister in law did. The lady didn't change out or clean the tools she used from the time before. I know that he is my brother so it wasn't as big of a deal but STILL! You should be cleaning/changing out tools every time! I've done my best to uphold my loyalty to this nail salon. Some nails technicians here do a pretty good job and others don't. I recently went in to get my acrylics done and brought in a picture of what I wanted. I'm not going to name the technicians by name but she half way through trying to do my design she got frustrated when I told her what I wanted and what she was doing didn't look like it. She got upset and called the boss over. Kristy took over and she kept telling me that every nail technician isn't able to do that. However when I used to come and tried to get appointments with her she was upset and said that I didn't just have to request her that all her girls did the same work. I was at the 3rd hour and wanted to get out of there, the design was tacky and I was not happy but I didn't want to sit there for about 2 hours. Kristy said she wasn't going to charge me for the design, I came back a couple days after because my nails started to lift. She was upset that I had come back and told me it was because I had too much cuticle, okay. I was there for an hour and a half and she was still filing and although I appreciate the work, I didn't expect to be there another 2 hours. I asked her to not set a polish and she said that if I came back she would charge me for polish because I was taking up time. As if I was causing her an inconvenience. No Kristy, there have been plenty of times where I have come and have had to come back because the job was done horribly. You can't say you care about your customers and then depending on your mood make them the problem. I am happily taking my money elsewhere. read more

I did a walk-in appointment today, so from that perspective, I understand why I had to wait a long time. I'm realistic. Clients with appointments take priority. No problem. Initially when I was seated to begin my gel manicure, the owner Kristy was working on my nails. She's very quick and I loved the way she filed my nails, but she had her own appointment and Holly took over doing my nails. I've never been so pissed in my entire life. I told her, in Vietnamese which hand had already been filed and she still proceeded to file down my nails shorter and wasn't paying attention. Because she wasn't even looking at my nails, she filed my skin at several points. That beautiful shape Kristy had given my nails, gone. Now I have badly shaped nails. Onto painting the nails with gel. I have never seen someone paint so slow, and still do so much wrong. Some nails were painted edge to edge, and other nails had massive gaps between the skin and the nails. She knew the gel was watery, and instead of doing 3 nails at a time to prevent it from curing incorrectly under the light, she just kept painting super slow and letting it run. Kristy even told her to do it little by little because that color was runny. She just didn't care about my nails, my time, or the potential of making money with me. Nail ladies, hair stylists, people in tipping industries LOVE me because I'm not picky, and I tip fat. I think this is the first time I've ever given someone a bad tip in my entire life. I was so frustrated with her work ethic and the quality of my nails, I just told her to skip the massage I needed to leave. I'm so disappointed in this visit, but I'm willing to come back and try again. But this time I'm going to make an appointment with Kristy just so I never have to risk Holly touching my nails ever again. The prices here are great, very fair. Small shop, fills up quick.
