Came here when I visited family in the area. My pedicure was great, but I got a HORRIBLE manicure. I did nothing with my hands but by the time I got home they had bubbled up like crazy. It looked terrible! They had taken off my full set of acrylics but hadn't managed to remove them fully and even filed into my nail bed a bit which was painful. Had it ended like that, I would've given them 1 or 2 stars, but when we called the following morning, they squeezed me in and re-did the manicure properly (no charge). They turned me away at the door saying they were understaffed and if I had an appoint I could come in. Now had the staff member i spoke to only by phone (only 20 - 30 minutes before) shared this bit of information I would not have bothered to make the trip. After years of visiting my "go-to" for pedicures I decided I wanted a little more lux experience so I took a friend's recommendation and went to Diva. It's now my new "go-to." Roomy, new chairs, super courteous and skilled staff. Prices basically same but feel is more spacious and peaceful. Calming music (no tv) in the background and quiet conversation between staff. I like the Diva pedi and both times I've visited now (with appt), the service has been quick, gentle and polish beautifully applied. i've been going to different nail salons for the last 20 years. I have been going to diva nail salon this summer. I had the samemale give me a pedicure, twice. He did a terrible job the first time. I went back in and got him again and thought everybody deserves a second chance. Boy was I Wrong!! He takes his finger and firmly taps your foot or leg when he wants it up or down. He speaks fine English and a language barrier is not the problem. He is just plain rude. I was under the toe dryer today, I noticed he didn't file a break I had in my toenail. So I asked him to come back and file it, he did but then when I got out in the sunlight I see it's not filed on the other side either. I go to a nail salon to relax and enjoy getting pretty toes. Paid double for a pedi (compared to other local nail salons). Cheap polish- chipped after a day. I would find red chips of paint all over my home from the polish. I just left "Diva's" for the last time. Disappointing service, my technician was not qualified to serve clients. He had to repaint my toenails multiple times and remove cuticles, and skin after I pointed things out to him. He stated "next time you come ask for someone who can do nail better." I spoke to someone else about my issues and was told that they could redo them but didn't have time. She offered a $5 discount which I did not think was fair, I negotiated because I could have painted my nails better at home, she raised her voice and proceeded to return to her client. I've been here multiple times and this time was the worst. The girl that did my pedicure was very nice and friendly but the pedicure service I paid for was horrible. I left there with rough feet which I get pedicures often, barely even massaged and was so light that it wasn't a relaxing experience, or even correctly painted my toe nails. For paying $60 for just a pedicure that was by far the worst I've had from here I will not be back. So much for a birthday treat to myself and to relax some from a stressful week. COMPLETELY messed my nails up. Gave them an easy design because I red the reviews and it was still terrible. I went in for a fill and had the shape of my nails RUINED. The lady at the front desk kept trying to charge me a full-set even though I only got a fill. Tried to charge me 30 DOLLARS for 2 tiny hearts in my nails. I told them I was in a huge rush because the first person doing my nails took almost an hour and a half just to do the fill. Even after telling the woman that was doing my design I was now running late she still kept standing up to go help other people who already had a nail tech with them. Terrible place. Was in the area so decided to give this place a try. Nice and clean but no OPI shellac. Then after getting my nails done with some other cheap brand they started chipping only after a couple days. The nail technician did not sand down the tips and put on two super thick coats, not good. After about 8 days I was sick of the chips and started to peel off one of my nails and the under coat was still wet! I hate when they don't give me enough time under the uv light and rush me out and now my nails are still wet. Don't go here, plenty of other places. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it was underwhelming. I went in for a dip mani and regular pedicure. The pedicure was fine but nothing special and chipped after one day. I was more disappointed in the manicure. I sat down in the chair and was rushed through the process, that only included actually doing the dip? No time was spent trimming my cuticles, my nails were barely filed. He did the color, smoothed it out, told me to wash my hands and that was it. It looks okay but was kind of messy and after washing my hands multiple time i still had color left on my skin. For a salon that wasn't very busy I felt very rushed. Also massage chair didn't work which was fine but kind of annoying and mani chairs were old and peeling. Overall, would not recommend to my friends. Nail services in Ann Arbor are unreasonably expensive and I was disappointed to pay ~$90 for a service that was just okay. read more

Came here to get mani's/pedi's with the bride before her wedding. We came on a Friday around 10:30am and the place was already extremely packed. I'm not from Michigan, but the bride told me this is probably the most popular place around, and the cheapest. They have a good selection of colors from mainly OPI and Esse. I just got a manicure, and she was really fast, but did a pretty good job. After I left, a few friends looked at my nails and asked if I got a gel manicure, and I said nope - just a regular one! And each time I've been with a few friends to get pedicures or other services and they always greet right away and take care of me right away. It's pretty average priced for any nail salon but they seem to do more. I have gone here a few times, and I have always been impressed. This last time, I have to say was the BEST manicure I have ever had. Vicki is amazing and she really listens to what you want. I needed a fill really bad and she took me right away. I wanted to do ombré powder as well as cut down my length and reshape. And Vicki did it all for me with no questions asked. She even did one nail first and asked me if I liked the color before she kept going. She made sure all of my nails were even length and shaped nicely, as well as making sure the ombré was the same length on all nails. As the owner, she's always multitasking, answering the phones and greeting other customers walking in and she STILL did the best manicure I've ever had. Had a pedicure here by a male technician. I asked that he clip the sides of my nails (hang nails) and he kept looking around and then told me they are forbidden to do so. In the same breath he says some other workers live to do do it! I was so confused and then figured out that he didn't know how to do it. Wow. Pretty basic. He also had OCD or something...he kept touching the filer on a small toe nail then would file the big toe. He didn't use the rocks when he brought them out. He basically warmed up his hands. The scrub was in one spot on my shin and no lotion. The paint job was ehh. My kid could have done better. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating was because Long nicked me once (though it seems that my skin is super sensitive so it's a rare occasion when I don't get nicked).
