My most recent location regarding the Tomball and Kingwood location is what prompted me to finally put down a review. I went to my hematologist that the office for an appointment that they RESCHEDULED me from a month ago due to the doctor's availability. I drove an hour from Kingwood to Tomball because this was the doctor's first open appointment. My appointment was at 11:30a, I showed up at 11:15a. I was not seen until 12:40p, OVER AN HOUR LATER. The appointment was only to go over labs so it didn't take long. At 12:50p, the lady checked me out and told me that the lab was closed for lunch. I took time off work so I was not able to wait until after lunch. She scheduled me to lab next day at the Kingwood location. I received the text and email which I confirmed. I showed up at the Kingwood location the next day. They were not able to locate me in their system. I went to the link and it showed cancelled. They sent me away and asked me to try another location. When I got there, they were closed. I went back to the Kingwood front desk. They said that there is someone there that is able to draw but she does not take last min walk in. I showed them my text and email for my appointment was it was not acceptable. They said that the earliest they can schedule me for lab is 6/17, 5 days later for a time sensitive lab for my follow up appointment call on 6/15! I feel that I shouldn't be working this hard as a patient for lab when it should be the office's job to do the basic function to schedule and follow up. Also to note, not all providers at Genesis are available as drop down in the portal. For two of my providers, I have to text for lab results. The main schedule line is out sourced and they are not familiar with the type of appointments/and or office schedule.

I disagree with two prior reviews on appointments. Typically doctor offices have a wait, with appointments. I arrive 15 min early, get into exam area within15- 30 min; and spend another 30-60 in exam room... depending patient load. Dr. Jason: Has been progressive with establishing initial care; in contrast to my prior doctor who was reluctant to use newer treatment. Staff: Very attentive and professional. Some appointments are quick few minutes, some longer. The staff gives necessary time to treat each patient as an individual. General Care: I typically the see younger associates, who are all very qualified. Some patients may have reservations transferring from more established practices or older doctors. However as a patient, consider doctors diagnose based on observations, tests, and the patients description of the symptom. Be specific and discuss what's wrong, and the staff will do their job treating you effectively. Prescriptions: staff is responsive to refills. Communication: Portal is easily accessed. That said, don't expect the staff to call with results. If the staff refers to diagnostic tests, it's the patients responsibility to see if lab results are abnormal and schedule follow up. And I am confident if I was tested for life or death problem, the staff would be more in tune with test results. Last note on appointments... it's the patients that drive the wait, not the staff. If the clients no-show, cancel, or are late... the office must book accordingly to preserve time. If all patients showed up as scheduled, pretty sure any office can treat a patient within an hour.

I even had to ask her when I was leaving how the blood test turned out, she quickly said "it was okay" without going over anything. A couple days later I found that my medicine was too strong and I called multiple times trying to get a lower dose called in but you only get a recording that says you must come in for another appointment for refills. I was just in and only wanted a lower dose and didn't want to pay another $50.00 copay just to reduce the dose but nobody returned my many calls so I gave up and quit taking my medication! I got the bill, called the number to pay and all you get is a recording at an overseas company. Tried many times finally got them and struggled through the language barrier/heavy accent etc but they showed a different billing amount. They gave me the office number but no one ever answers it. I left a messsge at least 1/2 dozen times trying to pay the amount my insurance company says I owe but still no return call from them. I got yet another bill in the mail today and called the offshore billing company again to go ahead and pay the higher amount but just got a message again. Such a frustrating office to deal with for the very, very little care that I received. Glad that I switched doctors, I can't imagine how I'd contact them in an emergency if I can't even get my medication dose lowered or pay my bill!

He referred me to another rheumatologist who sided with him and diagnosed me with fibromyalgia ? later after prescribing some expensive medication that caused me to have seizures. i later saw a rheumatologist who did a lot blood work and it was not good and and i indeed have the auto immune disease and i am severely impaired. Do not trust these doctors. They are not professional and do not abide by Hippia laws as they discuss other patients while examining me. Be careful of these two and most of their staff.
