The raw fish is on your gloves that you touch and spread to the outside of the wrapper that a customer now places in their cart.). The cafe serves up all the drinks you can think of including smoothies and the prices are not bad. I spent $5 for a large dirty chai. Sometimes in the city I'm getting charged like $8 for something like that. The chai was like a 3.8/5 though lol not sure I would get it again but I've had the regular coffee and that's good. I also got one of their premade egg, cheese and ham sandwiches on a English muffin. I enjoyed it. Other things that I noticed that set this Whole Foods apart from others was that they had a sandwich stand and they had plenty of flower options.

I am writing to say two things, the first descriptive, the second complimentary. The first thing is that like many other smoke shops nowadays, this is not primarily a place catering to those who want cigars or pipe tobacco. That said, they have a bit, enough that I've purchased from there due to the convenient location. I'd rate them as better than most of their peers in this regard. The second is the clerks are friendly and helpful. I was surprised they recognized my wife and me the second time we went in. That is unusual. Or perhaps we are a distinctive couple. So if you are in upper NW DC and in need of what they offer, Smoke Island is a fine choice.

I'd recommend other spots unless you're 18-20, or strapped on cash.
