First time coming here and loved it! Very cutely decorated and everything is nicely organized. Staff were all very friendly and happy to provide me and my friends with various gummy samples. I got 2 CBD pre rolls and my friends got delta 8 gummies. They let us know there's locations closer to where I live so will probably go to those but if I'm in DC again soon I'll go here. The only place I'll go to in DC for CBD/THC products. Shorter Overview: This place is great all around, enough to inspire me to pause Netflix to write this review. Aside from the good vibes, nice atmosphere, and down to earth & knowledgeable staff, their products are really good. I've gotten a variety of THC and CBD products (gummies for both) and a hemp plant extract which you can use on your skin or take drops under your tongue, and I've loved all of them. They don't have flower here but I've really liked their gummies enough that I haven't really missed smoking. From getting high for fun, finding something to help you sleep, ease chronic pain, or just try something new- this spot has a lot of variety of things. Bonus: free samples, rewards & discounts, returns available if needed (but you won't want to). P.S. The shop is on the 2nd floor (but there's a sign outside so shouldn't be hard to find) ___________________ For the people wanting more knowledge: I used to smoke socially or by myself on occasion but didn't have a ton of knowledge before I came in. I didn't know what a lot of things were or did (came in out of curiosity), but the staff was awesome- they explained so much in a non-intimidating, nonjudgemental and simple way so it was easy to understand. Since marijuana is decriminalized in DC, you can get it at dispensaries but it's not legal for sale [with the exception of some products with THC (the part of the plant that gets you high) that are under a certain percentage/ratio]. I've tried a few dispensaries that do THC product "gifts" with the purchase of something else (digital art usually) and despite a bunch of research, I've gotten ripped off so many times at these other places, and because you aren't technically buying the product itself, it's so easy to do this and get away with. Anyway, District Hemp is not a dispensary technically, it's a CBD shop (the part of the plant that has awesome benefits like decreased stress, anti-inflammatory, etc., but doesn't get you high), but they DO also have some THC products like edible gummies, chocolates, and even seltzer drinks which is pretty cool, and these are sold legally because the THC to whatever else ratio is still under a certain percentage (they still work though). This shop doesn't have flower here (what's generally referred to when talking about marijuana) or anything smokeable, but I've honestly liked taking their gummies enough when I want to get high- they kick in after about an hour for me usually and you don't have to worry about having a smokey smell later on which makes things easier. Overall: Solid place. Definitely recommend. Sounds like an ad but I'm not paid (but feel free!!) I honestly just want to save people from losing a bunch of money on fake stuff, & so glad I found this spot. read more

I am going to leave that place an amazing review next time I have a minute!" and that minute never comes because you end up going about your day? First of all, let me do the internet thing: I am about to GLOW about this place. You will think it is paid. I can't help you there - these guys are just that good. I am not paid or associated with District Hemp Botanicals in any way other than the fact that I am a wildly impressed customer from out of town thinking "WOW I am so lucky I found them!" Why? Okay, here we go... First of all, BIG shout out to Rahwa who helped me for the duration of my visit. She is wonderful! I walked in with what I thought was a pretty good knowledge set, and she taught me a thing or two in the best way and helped guide me specifically to products that not only targeted my needs, but I was so impressed with their products and service that I also picked up items for my mom and my partner to try! Second, the quality of the products is clear. If you aren't familiar with cannabis products, know that LAB TESTING IS IMPORTANT. If you see products that don't provide lab results, definitely question them. All of the products I purchased at District Hemp have QR codes for retrieving the lab results for the product, and/or information on the labels themselves. Third, the selection of delivery types! Gummies, mints, teas, bottled drinks, tinctures, muscle balms... if you are in the market for this type of wellness care, you will find a delivery method that works well with your particular needs. Honestly, I could go on and on, but here's the tl;dr: The service is amazing, the products are high quality, the atmosphere is welcoming and lovely, and you really can't do better. Literally I was just out for a walk killing time when I saw "free CBD samples". 1 floor up, adjacent to a yoga studio lobby was this really aesthetically pleasing and professional looking CBD product store! NOT a cannabis dispensary, but DOES have a huge selection of CBD products such as teas, balms, concentrates, oils, etc. They had some nice CBD coffee on tap (or 'pump') and even offered me a free CBD-isolate dab (new experience for me). Both associates were super helpful, extremely welcoming, and very kind. Since business was slow, had some time to chat casually with R. about the industry just generally had a really nice, refreshingly free and easy conversation. Beautiful shop and great customer service. I have to admit the shop doesn't stand out for us it was a little hard to find. I went in for the brand Wyld that I was introduced to in CA. This is solely CBD the Wyld brand in CA contains THC whereas this one was THC free. The edibles are used for relaxing if anything and I definitely noticed the difference in taste and feeling. The shop employees were so nice, they gave us a free sample and very helpful. The drink they recommended was very refreshing, for $10 which I thought to worth it. read more

However, I ended up coming to this one which probably was a great choice because the service was so fantastic and Rahua helped me very much. I was literally on the verge of having a full scale nervous break down after dealing with my narcissistic, gaslighting father of my children. You saved my life today. I stopped by to purchase some CBD treats for my dog. I used to go to the yoga studio so I remember when District Hemp opened here. The space is lovely and there are samples to try. I didn't find the person working particularly knowledgable about the pet products but it may be that she simply knew more about the CBD products for people. She did try and was very friendly, but ultimately I was on my own for selecting items. The prices are a bit higher than other places and I'm not convinced it is warranted, but it is certainly worth a stop and look around. read more

Friendly, welcoming staff that stands behind their product and the science behind it. This was honestly the most fantastic customer service I have had in a long time. I work in the CBD industry in CA, and I was BLOWN AWAY by Kat and Kamille. They were SO knowledgeable on all the products. They took the time to answer all my friends questions in depth. CBD is such a great product to help with all kinds of issues and the diversity of their products was SO GREAT. I mean, they have anything you could ever need. I got some of the full spectrum tincture. Being in the industry I try lots of products and I'd rate theirs top notch. The packaging is beautiful and the taste was good (which often with tinctures it is not). I've been traveling quite a bit and found CBD is helpful to reduce my muscle pain and boy did this do the trick. They use well sourced hemp and a natural extraction process, which if you are new to CBD, this is important. They also walked us through dosing, which I can't stress the importance of. I was in DC for 24 hours for work - when I landed I had a horrific headache and stomach ache and no over the counter meds were helping so I took an Uber here and I was so warmly greeted by Rosie who was so incredibly sweet and empathetic to my situation and she first let me immediately try a few projects to get my pain level under control before chatting to me about products I was already wanting to purchase.
