It took me 3 months to find a decent and affordable contractor to tile my condo. Distinctive Tile and Marble - Joey and his staff did an awesome job and put up with lots of traffic in my place such as plumping, countertop installer during the renovation. I picked up his name at the Tiles Outlet of America and I was glad that I made the right choice. He always answers my text/phone. I finally got my place renovated and happy with his work. An honest, reliable and awesome company. He also gave you 10% contractor discount at the store when you bought tiles for the project. Thank you Joey. read more

We contracted Joey Freeman owner of Distinctive Tile and Marble to tile the floor of our entire condo. At that time his quote was in line with the other quotes. We chose him because, quite frankly, we just felt comfortable using him because of his excellent reputation, installation knowledge and quality of work. It was now time for our master shower renovation. We did not even bother getting other quotes, we wanted quality and we knew his price would be fair. Joey came over and quoted us and we were fine with the price. He is not only a great tile man; he is a great shower and bath designer as well. We had a good concept of what we wanted and he took that and lined out some options saying ultimately that, it is what we decide that counts. He also did those personal touches above and beyond, which we did not expect. His advice was well heeded by us and we are happy with the advice and the job. The shower, bench, niche and other design work turned out great. We are happy. One more bath to go. Who do you think we will use to do it? Distinctive Tile and Marble. read more

Joey goes above and beyond for his customers at Distinctive Tile & Marble. I own a vacation rental home on North Captiva Island. Our lanai had water damage from an improperly installed tile floor done years ago. As a result I have never met Joey in person but I feel like I've known him for years based on our contact via text and telephone. He answered my initial call quickly and answered all my questions with honesty and knowledge. It was a difficult job to say the least. He needed to get out to North Captiva to actually do the work which included transportation by boat. He helped me pick tile from Chicago and guided me with all the materials I would need to order to get the job done. Once he was on the site, he sent me pictures every day of the work that he did. He even did research as to what other products we could us to make sure we would not have the same issue. The crew on the island who did the demo for me and were onsite were very impressed with his professionalism and cleanliness. When I finally got to the island I was blown away by the job he did! The lanai is my favorite part of the house now. I even had tile left over that he stored for me to use for another project this year. If you choose Joey and his company you will not be disappointed. His pricing was fair. He stuck to the timeline he stated. And got the work done on budget and on time! Don't read another review, pick Distinctive Tile! read more

Joey and his crew at Distinctive Tile & Marble are very professional, courteous and highly skilled. I have used them twice now, for both travertine flooring and tile shower remodeling. Both jobs were done to a high level of skill that you won't find easily in the industry. They don't take shortcuts and they always go with the best solution for the quality of the job, unlike many contractors who are just interested in what's easiest for them. Joey is serious when he says (in his company description) that he treats every home as if it were his own. Also, he is one of the few business owners that will return your call for an estimate (or any other call, for that matter). Furthermore, he is very accommodating when there are special needs with your job - you're not going to have to put up with a cookie cutter, inflexible approach that so many other companies stick you with. I enthusiastically recommend Distinctive Tile & Marble for any tile or flooring projects you've got in mind. read more
