Not once did I speak to their team in a disrespectful manner. Was I firm and direct? Absolutely. Not once was I inappropriate, unlike their owner. If any prospective clients see this and would like to ask me about my experience directly, I'm happy to have a conversation. I have no further interest in communicating with a company that continues to not truthfully own up to their faults in this. I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by my experience with Driveways by HEAP and their owner, Robert. From the start, communication with this company was extremely poor. It took months for them to respond to our request for a quote for options for our driveway and a small asphalt patch in our backyard. When they recommended sealcoating and they finally scheduled the work, they only completed part of the job -- forgetting the backyard patch we had clearly discussed and agreed upon. When we reached out to address the incomplete work, we were initially told they'd return within days. Weeks passed with vague updates, broken promises of return dates, and no follow-through. We asked them not to cash our check until the job was done -- but they did anyway, before completing the work. As soon as we realized the check had been cashed, and after my husband had multiple failed attempts to get ahold of Jamie, I stepped in to follow up - which was apparently unacceptable to do on a Sunday morning. She blocked my number and bizarrely informed my husband via email that she would only be communicating with him going forward -- an unprofessional and move that made me question if we were still in the 1950s. Things escalated with misogynistic language when I called the company directly and and asked to speak to Robert, the owner. I have never been spoken to by a service provider the way he spoke to me. He was verbally abusive, condescending, and used language that bordered on threatening. He insulted me personally and dismissed my entirely reasonable request to complete a job that had been paid for -- going so far as to accuse me of being part of the "instant gratification generation" and "making a mountain out of a molehill" as if expecting a service to be completed within a month is unreasonable. This business not only failed to complete the work in a timely or professional manner, but their treatment of me as a customer -- especially as a woman -- was hostile and deeply inappropriate. No one should be spoken to or treated this way.

In addition, they continue to handle our spring and fall cleanups with professionalism and care. Pat and his team are reliable, dependable, professional, and, most importantly, affordable. He took his time to walk us through the options and he priced the job very reasonable too! With my husband's travel schedule it took several trips back to the store to finalize our selections and he was so patient and cordial to work with throughout the process. The entire process from the selection of materials, the removal and disposal of the old counter tops, the templating and the installation was fatastic! We couldn't be more pleased with the results and highly recommend doing business here.

Buyer Beware! In December 2025, we contracted with Granite…read moreGuy Inc. to install new countertops in our kitchen. When they arrived for the install, we asked them to pull their box truck up to our front lawn, where there was plenty of room and access to the kitchen. Despite being explicitly asked to pull their truck to our front door and not the backyard, they attempted to drive up to our back door, took our short steel linked fence out of the ground, damaging a raised garden bed, (as well as leaving ruts in our yard) in the process. They also drove- then idled- their box truck, full of marble countertops, directly over our septic tank. We documented everything with photos, Ring videos, and written communications to discuss with Granite Guys management. After the installers left, we also discovered that one of the two sink installations in the kitchen was prominently off-center (photo attached). After we reached out to Granite Guys, the owner of the company came out to look at the damage. He acknowledged that his staff made a serious mistake with the install, then looked me in the eye and shook my hand as he promised that they would return to perform our spring cleanup as compensation and to resolve the issue. I accepted and emailed the administrator that he had agreed to perform a spring cleanup and I would reach out again then. The administrator responded and confirmed they took responsibility for the issues in the yard. On March 28th I emailed them again and asked them to come for the spring cleanup. For the next five weeks, I received very little communication from them. After unanswered emails, they responded on the morning of May 4th that they would be coming later that same day. Two guys showed up in a pickup truck, got out, took pictures of the lawn area my husband had already repaired, rang the Ring doorbell at the garage door exactly once, and then left. I emailed Granite Guys once again asking why they had left without taking care of the yard, and have not heard back. I have been attempting, unsuccessfully, to resolve this privately and patiently with Granite Guys. Though my husband was able to repair our yard, the flaw in our $7,000 countertops is permanent. Granite Guys Inc. cannot be trusted and should be avoided at all costs.

He installed a new fiberglass front door for us and it was done perfectly which was a big upgrade for our house as we had an older steel door for years. He then replaced our front facing dining room window with three Harvey windows that just looks perfect for your house. He and his crew then replaced our peeling and cracking side trim boards for each side of our house with PVC trim and those pieces go up about 25 feet. A few years later, we asked for quote to replace our aging wooden windows from 1994 and he again replaced them all with new Harvey windows which look great. He worked closely with us to ensure we got what we were looking for and he really delivered. Finally, we asked Gino to replace our aging and flaking Masonite front siding on our split ranch. He suggested using Everlast which is thick and you can re-paint down the road if you choose to. Finally, Gino also replaced a large window on our house which is another big upgrade for us and installed it like a pro so we gained energy efficiency. Gino is dependable and does things right, he communicates very well to the homeowner and we can't recommend him enough to our friends and neighbors.

He took the time to help me choose the right shingle color and even showed me photos of homes his company had completed using the colors we were considering. Those real-world examples were much more helpful than the manufacturer's online visualization tool and made the decision much easier. Rob and his crew were professional, thorough, and extremely efficient. The roof was completed quickly without sacrificing quality, and the cleanup afterward was outstanding. When they finished, the property was spotless. One thing that really impressed me was their integrity. After the old roof was stripped, an improperly flashed chimney-to-roof connection installed by the original builder was discovered. Rob brought the issue to my attention and corrected it at no additional cost because he wanted the job done the right way. That level of honesty and commitment to quality is hard to find. My home is 105 years old and roughly the size of two standard Capes, so I knew this wasn't going to be a small or inexpensive job. I'm not one to make decisions lightly. I contacted four different roofing companies. One took over three weeks to get back to me with a quote, and only after I followed up. Not a good sign. The other companies responded promptly, with pricing in a similar range. But Nor'Easter Roofing immediately set themselves apart. From the very first interaction, Rob (the owner) took the time to explain the insurance process to me in detail. If you've ever dealt with homeowners insurance, you know how complicated things can get (especially with depreciation and recoverable amounts). Rob patiently walked me through all of it. He didn't just quote the job, he acted like a partner in the process! The job itself took two full days, and the crew was nothing short of outstanding. They showed up at 7 a.m. sharp and worked tirelessly until 7 p.m. both days. Their professionalism, work ethic, and attention to detail blew me away. These guys worked their asses off and it shows. The finished roof gave my historic home a brand-new look. It's honestly the best-looking roof on the street - hands down. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire Nor'Easter again. Rob is deeply knowledgeable, detail-oriented (as picky as I am!), and committed to doing things right the first time. That kind of one-on-one service is rare and it's what makes Nor'Easter exceptional. Oh, and the cleanup was immaculate! You'd never know they were here!
