This place is a joke. Came Tuesday, note on door they are closed Monday and Tuesday this week. Okay, whatever. I come back at 9am on Wednesday as it says on the door they open at 9. Waited until 9:20 (dumb) and still, crickets. Probably a blessing as I only come here for convenience as I'm convinced they have lost a jacket of mine before and it's rare my clothes are ready at the promised time. I've brought in three bridesmaid dresses to her for weddings I've been in. Every time they've came out perfect! It looks and fits exactly as I was looking for. Also the lady that works there is always so kind and gets things done in a reasonable timeframe. Will continue to keep going back. read more

I took my sons tuxedo here for dry cleaning- I should've read the reviews. I just picked it up and every button cover on the shirt was gone. When I asked about it, I was just told "sorry". No offer to replace it or give a discount from what was already prepaid. read more

Maggie is wonderful! I brought in a dress with a halter top strap that was too loose 2 days before I had to wear it as a bridesmaid in a wedding (I had just flown into town that day, couldn't have brought it in sooner) and she was a miracle worker. She was very professional and got the dress to fit me like a glove. I can't thank her enough! Definitely bring in anything you need altered, Maggie will take great care of you! read more

Two stars only because of Tracy (5 stars for her) who works there. She is incredibly personable, remembers who you are and is just all around great. I brought some shirts on a recent Wednesday to get laundered,hoping to get back by Saturday. Guess what, the parent cleaners in Antioch where they send the clothes to, I guess was on vacation and could not have them beck until the following Wednesday. A week to have 4 shirts laundered is just not even remotely competitive. That kind of lack of concern for their own customers puts their employees in a tough position when they are the ones dealing with the customers. Over the years, the lead times have just seemed to get longer and longer. Unfortunately, I guess I will now be going to Bentwood or trying out the home delivery cleaner service. read more

This place is a joke, They are suppose to open at 8, arrived at 8:30 Doors were locked, showed up again at 2:30, note on the door said be back at 3:00, showed up at 3:15 and told them this is the 3rd time I've been here today to pick up my comforter and asked for 10% off at the least and she said NO, I told her I was never to come back and she said " I'm sorry" That is just poor business. read more

This is the SECOND time i have used this dry cleaner due to the convenience of their location and this is the SECOND time my items weren't even CLEAN!! The first time i brought a throw blanket in and when i picked it up it was rolled up in a bag. After i brought it home i noticed it was never cleaned. Still smelled and had cheetos ( from my 3 yr old) stuck to it. The second time i brought clothes in for a wedding. Supossed to pick them up friday. Came in Saturday and 2 items arent ready. They sent them out to be cleaned? The other items that were ready for pick up werent even cleaned. They ironed the clothes with dirt and dog hair on them. Ruined a button down shirt. I needed a suit dry cleaned and ready the following morning. Called around before hand and this place said it would be ready by 10:30 am the next day. Went to pick up the suit at 11 am and they didn't have it yet but assured me it would be in around noon. It is now 3 pm and still no suit. read more

"Warning... very underhanded business practices!"This place should NOT be in business Period! The worst cleaners I've ever been to in terms of quality of work, care for your belongings, customer service, and the RUDEST woman working the register. Not sure what else, if anything she does, but she shows up when she feels like it (never mind the posted store hours), claims the manager has no responsibility for what happens, and lies about what happened to your now damaged clothes. The girl working the store may even be the owner, but who knows because she won't identify who she is. The owner never called as I requested after my clothes were damaged that I dropped for a simple cleaning/refresh and there were no stains when I dropped them. Chemical stains were noticeable upon pick up. The items were cleaned previously at other cleaners in Brentwood with no issue. The woman was beyond rude and lied saying there was a sign on the window stating they are not responsible for damage to your clothes (there was not a sign on the window), yet they also now require that you prepay for anything you drop off! Sure go ahead and do what you want to my belongings (ruin them!), make me pay, and take no responsibility! Crap business that should be shut down permanently!!! Same shopping center as Mountain Mike's - boycott them!!! read more

I brought my Chino's $85 new shirt in to be cleaned several times. The last time I picked it up when I went to wear it, it had a rip in the back. I went down to the cleaners and was told the owner would have to look at it. I called the owner in Antioch and was put on hold 4 times for 15 minutes. When I finally talked to the owner, she said she remembered the shirt but would have to talk to others in the business to see what happened and would get back to me. When I finally got ahold of her again, she said she didn't feel they did the damage. I told her it was obviously done by machines and the clerk at the Discovery Bay store agreed with me. I told her I will take her to small claims court and I hope it was worth it to loose my business because ALL my work clothes and ALL my husbands work clothes were taken to their cleaners. So, it's Tuesday approaching 9am and still no one has bothered to show up for work at Discovery Cleaners. This is the second day in a row, and my third attempt, to try and rescue my dry cleaning from this most horribly run business. I'd also like to add that on each of my visits, there have been other customers trying to drop off garments only to be turned away by the locked door. Whoever owns this business is apparently not very interested in growing it. It's so sad. If anyone is interested, perhaps we could start a dry cleaning business in Discovery Bay. read more

Wish I had read reviews before I took my drapes here. Took in drapes & valances for a 8 ft slider. Paid in advance. Called on the day they were due in and they had never sent them out. They said I owed more money and they won't send them out until I authorized it. Over charged me 20 for the valances under charged 40 for drapes. For a lousy $20 I had to wait a week for the drapes to the master bedroom. Just picked them up and they are wrinkled and they shrunk. I can't go another week or more with out coverings on my slider. I told them I would never be back. read more

If you want to have your clothes damaged, AND have a manager Rafaela tell you it's your fault because your shirts have been there too long this is the place. Also paid cash and asked for a receipt and was told they were unable to provide one. Finally was told by Rafaela if your clothes were left there over 30 day they can give to charity. Really? Your staff is so busy they can't call customers and let them know they have cleaned clothes ready to be picked up that maybe someone forgot about? Very poor customer service. read more

I'd give them 0 stars if possible! We've been using their services for close to 6 months now with very few problems, however in the last 2 months their customer service has gone down the toilet. They first LOST a $150 shirt and were not even close to apologetic. When said shirt was finally found they blamed it on tags falling off...exactly how many people brought in polo shirts who's tags fell off in the same time period that you couldn't tell it was ours? Then i take a load of clothes over, the clerk says she can have it ready next day, AWESOME! i don't actually go back the next day but the day after that i go to pick up the clothes and 6 hugo boss dress shirts are missing, and NO I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL. The clerk there doesn't understand why I'm not taking the clothes she gave me and leaving as if missing clothing in an order is a normal thing. She's totally belittling the matter and doesn't offer any type of solution. When i ask for a manager to speak to she rolls her eyes and calls the antioch location at which point she basically tells me the manager is busy i can come back saturday to pick up the shirts. WTF??? So i take whatever clothing they've deemed fit for me to pick up and walk out with the antioch locations number so i can speak to the manager myself. Turns out the manager doesn't give half a crap about the situation and wants me to come back to the store to pick up my 5 shirts that were supposed to be ready yesterday in 4 hours. Not to mention the clerks are completely in capable of deciding whether they can make clothing ready for pick up next day or not. One clerk will say it takes 2 days while the next will ask you if you'd like it the next day. "Discovery bay cleaners, we give you your clothes back when it suits us not you" read more
